Report a translation problem
To answer some questions:
"What shows up in the two auctions? At first I thought you'd see both from the auction list, but it seems to be from the junkyard list for the salvage cars. Which makes sense.
"I found X car in a location not listed." I pull this information from what the game data lists. There's a real possibility I have it wrong, but odds are you have "cars available everywhere" option set to yes in settings, a mod, or you've otherwise changed that car's file to show up at that location. Which, by the way, is extreme easy to do. I might make a quick guide for that. But feel free to mention it and I'll double check.
And yes, I've finally gotten around to including the DLC. Sorry for the delay on that. And hopefully I'll keep up with any future DLC from here.

Considering that the barns require a consumable map to even visit, the salons sell cars at such high prices that you'll probably lose money selling the cars, and the auctions tend to force you to pay near or above the car's market value, the junkyard is your best sustainable option for finding cars.
