Editing your campaign team roster (Recruit even ClanLord!)
After beating the campaign and unlocking Malcolm and the others, I was disappointed that ClanLord never becomes obtainable for your team because of a coding issue, so I looked in my save file with Notepad++ and tinkered with it. I figured out how to change your team into the best team. You can do it at any point in the game but it's convenient to do it at the start when you have to draft your team. Here's how to change your team into Malcolm, Brock, Lauren, Xan and ClanLord:

Step 0:
Before you create your campaign profile, I recommend that you add the following to your UT2004.ini file in the game's System folder:

[XGame.UT2K4LadderInfo]
AdditionalLadders=Class'XGame.CLOnslaught'

It will unlock an extra Onslaught campaign, but it doesn't work if you don't make a new profile. The campaign was cut from the game, but this adds it to a new tab in the campaign menu once you've completed the main campaign.

Step 1:
If you chose to make a new profile, then play through the game until you have to draft your team.

To replace a character with another, the character you're going to replace must have equally many letters in its name as the one you're replacing it with. Because of that, you should recruit these characters in the following order:

1. Memphis
2. Jakob
3. Hathor
4. Roc
5. Sapphire

These characters will not be available for the rest of the campaign after we've replaced them. You can choose others with the same amount of letters in their names but these guys are cheapest.

Win the match against them if you made a new profile and then quit the game.
If you didn't make a new profile, then hire them as your team and enter any match so that your team gets saved. Forfeit the match and quit the game.

Step 2:
Find your save file in the Saves folder inside your game directory. Create a copy of it so that you have a backup. Then open it with Notepad or Notepad++. At the very bottom, you should see some code with your name and the names of your teammates. Carefully replace the names of your teammates without changing any of the code:

Memphis -> Malcolm
Jakob -> Brock
Hathor -> Lauren
Roc -> Xan
Sapphire -> ClanLord

It is case sensitive. Do not replace or delete anything else than these letters. Once done, save the file and enter the team management menu so that the game registers your new team. This team is expensive in the beginning, but the characters will be permanently unlocked, so you can swap a couple of them out and save them for when you can afford to use all of them, or you can challenge other teams to earn more credits.

Have fun.

It's the same for me. I don't think there's any way to fix it.

I've tested the Onslaught campaign, and it's fully functional, and it even worked for me with pre-saves and other languages. I would just like to know if there is any way to fix the description of the maps since it is slightly moved to the right.

Here is a picture of how the misalignment looks like in my game:

Wonderful, first time I see that someone has a practical solution to this issue. On the other hand, thank you very much for the extra campaign, I'm looking forward to trying it on the highest difficulty.

Welp, then I guess it's only my problem, if it works for you do as the guide says, else try my method that worked for me

I did it with notepad and several other people have done it as well. There's no technical reason why notepad shouldn't work.

Nope, if you use a notepad without changing anything, trust me I tried for hours, you lose information and when you save everything is corrupted. Besides using a hex editor is nothing hard, you just ignore the numbers and do the same you said and change the names of your teammates.

It works with notepad if you do it carefully without changing any of the code. It's easier to use a hex editor for sure, but everyone has notepad.

For everyone that wants to try this DON'T use notepad it won't work, you have to use an hex editor, I used Hex editor neo from the Microsoft Store.

Hey I've tried modifying the file as you said but it either crashes instantly or it says the profile was not of my machine, could you explain to me better which names specifically i should modify? Thanks :)

That's strange. It didn't for me when I tested it. Well, good for you.
