About this guide
This guide is intended mainly for people who have already completed the game and are looking to get all of the Special Edition achievements. Gameplay is identical to the original version of The Whispered World, so if you need general help you can find walkthroughs elsewhere on the web.
Note on 100% in a single playthrough
The Saving Time achievement is mutually exclusive with the 4 mini-game achievements. However, because each of those 4 achievements unlock individually, you can obtain the mini-game achievement and then reload the save file to progress with Saving Time.

1. Save the game before each of the mini-game puzzles.
2. Solve the puzzle to get the respective achievement.
3. Reload the save and then SKIP the puzzle to progress.

It may be possible to get both ending achievements in one playthrough, as long as you watch the alternate ending first. If in doubt, save the game before choosing either ending, then you can just reload and get the other one.
Required progression (8 achievements)
These achievements are obtained from required progress through the game. You can skip over this section if you already completed a playthrough. I'm only giving the immediately relevant steps here, as this guide is not intended as a general walkthrough.

CHAPTER 1

Ball Spot
- Give Spot some water from the laundry tub.

Fire Spot
- Place a [Noahi Egg] in the trap at the circus to attract fire dragons.
- Feed Spot some of the fire dragons.

Five Spot
- Activate the factory.
- Put Spot into the manufacturing mold and activate the press.

Kalida Awakes

CHAPTER 3

Leaf Spot

- Use the [Clothesline] on the stake inside the elevator.
- Tie Ball Spot to the clothesline.
- Turn on the elevator and let it squeeze Spot through the door.

The Train to Corona
- Complete Chapter 3.

CHAPTER 4

The Boy in the Mirror
- Complete Chapter 4.
Mini-game puzzles (5 achievements)
The first 4 achievements are for solving each of the mini-game puzzles. The fifth achievement is for skipping ALL of the puzzles.

For Whom the Bell Tolls
This is the clock puzzle in Shana's cabin.
- The Rock Bros. outside the cabin will give you the first time that you need to input.
- Attach the [Fishbone] to serve as the Hour hand.
- Input the correct time using the hands, and then press the button in the center to set it.
- Check the [Note] (Ben's chore list) to reference the times corresponding to each subsequent clue.

Check Mate
This is the chess game you play with Mulachei. It's the famous "8 queens" problem. There is no definitive method of solving this puzzle, but there are heuristic hints that can be used to eliminate unproductive guesses. If you just want an answer, an image of a solution board is provided below.
- Since each queen will attack a row and column, a common strategy is to gradually place exactly one queen in each row and in each column, and then correct for how this affects the diagonals.
- The closest that you can place queens together is with a knight's move (L-shape).

Shove Off!
This is the mosaic puzzle found on the shield crest in Corona castle. It's a basic sliding puzzle which is divided into two symmetrical halves (left and right). The two halves are independent of each other and do not share the tiles or gaps, so effectively you're just solving the same puzzle twice. The challenge here is finding the correct placement of the tiles to form a coherent image of the royal insignia. The correct placement can be found below.
- As with any sliding puzzle, any group of six tiles which includes the gap (2x3 or 3x2) can be used to arbitrarily resequence one of the pieces by using the gap as a shortcut through the middle.
- Aside from the piece that was repositioned, you can then rotate all the other pieces back into their original positions so as not to disturb the rest of the pattern.
-To complete the puzzle, arrange the existing tiles and then add the final piece to the gap. The piece must be painted the same color to work.

Tubelicious!
BUG: Do not solve the puzzle before starting the oil flow. In order to get this achievement, you MUST start the oil flow first.
- Put the [Olives] in the big glass tube.
- Have Fire Spot heat the tube.
- Direct the oil to the glass vial in the window. Note that there are broken pipes that must be avoided.
- Use the two corks to plug the unused ends of three-way tubes. You can remove corks and set them aside on the desk. If you rotate a pipe with a cork in it, the cork will automatically be moved to the desk.

Saving Time
- Skip all of the mini-game puzzles by clicking the red X icon when it is presented. The game will ask you if you want to "Quit Game" by which it means skipping the mini-game.
Miscellany (7 achievements)
He's never gonna learn...
- In Chapter 1, try to enter Shana's door the wrong way 10 times.

Walkthrough User
- At the beginning of Chapter 3, do only the following:
- Pick up the [Stein].
- Walk over to the bone levers and use (from the left) lever #2 and #5.
- Walk back to the floor plate and USE it with the hand icon. The achievement won't trigger if you simply step on the plate. Probably a bug.

Dinner is (almost) Ready!
- In Chapter 3, sound the kitchen gong 10 times before serving the Mildew Soup.

Master of the Spot Parcours
- At the beginning of Chapter 4, when you are in control of Spot while trying to open the gate, perform all of the required actions without having to retry any of them. (This is possibly timed.)

Honking Shoes
- Press H 10 times. Note that whenever you press H, a very faint honking sound plays. Well, it's actually more like a rubber ducky. (Thanks to Fenrir for the H key tip.)

Master of Disguise
BUG: Steam progress tracking is enabled for this achievement, but it doesn't work and will show 0/500 until you unlock it.
- Use Spot's transformations 500 times. Just click on the icons to make him transform. You don't need to make him interact with the world.

Mirror, Mirror
- In the final scene in the mirror room, try to break the left-hand mirror 10 times. While this shows you a new ending, it doesn't actually end the game. You will return to the mirror room, which you still cannot leave except by breaking the right-hand mirror. (Thanks to Whistler for the tip.)

Be aware that when you do the Master of Disguise achievement, it will pop up every time you transform Spot afterwards. So better to do that as late as possible or just on a separate save.

Thanks for the guide bro, without you guys, hunting certain achievements would be terrible.

One more thing I discovered, Master of Disguise for me unlocked on Chapter 4, and then the achievement kept appearing on my game a lot of times! (The in-game one, not the Steam, that one unlocked once.) I guess I had unlocked it and didn't trigger until I did the Spot puzzle.
So, my theory is that this achievement only unlocks on Chapter 4, but I may be wrong.

If you missed an achievement, the official site of Daedalic has several savegames for every chapter
