Disable steamworks WORKING

How to disable steamworks by going some versions back.

What is steamworks

Without steamworks you won't see the *is now playing* status like seen in the picture below.



It used to be a feature that you could disable this however this has been removed.
So we need to go back to this version.

Downloads

You will need to download a few programs in order for this to work.

You will need to download Depot Downloader. This program will let you get the version without steamworks! you can download it here[github.com]
For the download just put it in a folder and extract the zip file there.

Upnext you need NET Core. This program is needed for Depot Downloader to work! You can download it here[dotnet.microsoft.com]

Just download the lastest or the recommended versions for the programs.

Getting the previous version

Open the folder containing the "DepotDownloader.dll" and typ in the adress bar cmd.exe and hit enter like seen below


Now copy and paste the next command inside of the cmd

dotnet Depotdownloader.dll -app 1022230 -depot 1022231 -manifest 5087044270132808649 -username *Your steam username* -password *Your steam password*

If you do have two authentication you will need to put the code in the next line.

After that is complete a new folder should be created with the previous version. Just open MagicBorderless.exe in this folder.

Now headover to the steam tab and enable "disable steamworks"


Congrats you can now use magic borderless without using steamworks!
