To-Do
UPDATE: THIS WORKS WITH WINDOWS 10 AND WINDOWS 11

1. First of all if you have Vegas Pro 18 Edit Steam Edition installed, go to "Control Panel" (Win+S and type Control Panel) and then go to "Uninstall a program".

2. Now you have to find all the Vegas Steam programs and uninstall them (See picture).

3. Then go to:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\
C:\Program Files (x86)
C:\Program Files
C:\Users\YOURADMINUSER\AppData\Roaming

and delete ONLY the Vegas and MAGIX folders.

(To ensure that you deleted all the Vegas files check the AppData\Roaming folder from every user on your PC.)

4. Restart the PC.

5. Login with an admin user (To fix Vegas error -59 you have to do the installation with a user with admin permissions).

6. Start Steam as Admin.

7. Download and Install Vegas from Steam.

8. Start Vegas from Steam.

9. If Vegas works then should be the error -59 fixed for all users at your PC

------------- UPDATE IF ANYONE STILL HAS THIS ISSUE -------------

I tried all these steps and had the same new "Error Code 2" also.

I simply reverified the steam files and it now works.

> Uninstall every Vegas Pro 18 application from Apps and Features

> Go through all Program Files/Program Files (x86)/Program Data/Users>Roaming folders and DELETE ALL Sony/Vegas/Magix folders and files

> Restart PC and start steam as administrator > Reinstall Vegas Pro 18

> Launch Vegas Pro 18 and if you now have "Error Code 2" do the next step

> Go to the your Vegas Pro on steam library > Manage > Properties > Installed Files > Verify integrity of software files

Hopefully it should now work or so help us God and send this trash software to the depths of hell...

I'm on Windows 11. Unfortunately this did not work. I have tried everything from Revo uninstaller to regedit fixes. Going to ask to get a refund for this garbage software.
