FFVII controller configuration | no apps required

In this guide i will show you how to map the buttons, so you can play on the d-pad, with all the original buttons layout.

In Steam big picture

Click on the game, go to manage game, then go to controller configuration(with your controller attached).

You simply remap the buttons with keyboard keys, same to the image below

(you should use default settings in-game)

If you want to move on the D-pad then the Dpad should be mapped as Left Stick, otherwise you shouldn't change that setting

To be like on PS1, you should exchange L1 and R1 for navigating lists in the menu.
Also, Left Stick should be mapped as Left Stick and not DPad to be working.
