Brother, there are way better ways to save fuel and making a post like this will give people the idea that they shouldn't look into more efficient means of saving fuel. Battery based fueling yolol is so simple a todler can do it.

There hasn't been a need to replace fuel rods or refuel in any way since the first few months of launch. You can "repair" your ship at any hangar hall that you can dock in and that has enough resources to fill your rods and prop. Just click repair and the system auto does it for you in 30 seconds.

I tell you how to save fuel:
1) accelerate to max speed game allows
2) simply shut off your engines, surely in space is not friction and your ship will continue to go indefinetly thus not consuming fuel.

you can rotate items you hold with right mouse button. Works fairly well for me. Also, some ships have minimum power requirements so that you battery doesnt run out (If that happens, your ship will destabilize and be very hard to control.). An example is the hauler which needs 80 GeneratorUnitRate to maintain its battery power level.

The amount of rage I have experience simply trying to refuel my ship is unreal
