Age of Mythology: Extended Edition Achievement Cheat Sheet

A quick summary on how to get 100% achievements.

Introduction

Hi Everyone,

I am relatively new to AoM but I thought of sharing a Cheat Sheet which I am using to work on the 70 Achievements…

1. Special Event (Easiest): 1 Achievement
2. Campaign: 5 Achievements
3. 1,000 Online Games: 45 Achievements

1. Special Event (Easiest; 1 Achievement)

1	Hour of Alpacas: Participate in Alpaca Hour (Secret)

As shared by fellow players and found on websites:

1) Change your PC Date to 7 Feb 2016.
2) Create a Single Player, Random Map game.

You should unlock the achievement once the game begin.
(It works as of 28 June 2021)

2. Campaigns (5 Achievements)

Simply play through the “Learn to Play” tutorial and the 4 Campaigns to unlock them.

3. 1,000 “Online” Games (45 Achievements)

This is the bulk of the “Work” required to unlock 45 (or 64%) of the achievements

I will break the 1,000 “Online” Games down into 3 Steps

Step 1: 150 Wins, Online Games, Random Map & Various Modes (38 Achievements)
The first 150 games need to be play through and defeat the AI opponent (For the 5 “Be Victorious in 10 XXX Games” achievements).

The selection of the Gods (for Player and AI) will help to work towards the 30 “Commanders of XXX” and “Foes of XXX” achievements.

Completing this step will also unlock 3 other achievements “Host 25 Multiplayer Games”, “Play 100 random map games” and “Be Victorious in 100 online games”.
(a). Create 30 Supremacy Online Games, Random Map and Win

• 10 Games: Player Command Zeus to Defeat AI Zeus
  
• 10 Games: Player Command Hades to Defeat AI Hades
  
• 10 Games: Player Poseidon to Defeat AI Poseidon

(b). Create 30 Conquest Online Games, Random Map and Win

• 10 Games: Player Command Ra to Defeat AI Ra
  
• 10 Games: Player Command Isis to Defeat AI Isis
  
• 10 Games: Player Command Set to Defeat AI Set

(c). Create 30 Lightning Online Games, Random Map and Win

• 10 Games: Player Command Kronos to Defeat AI Kronos
  
• 10 Games: Player Command Oranos to Defeat AI Oranos
  
• 10 Games: Player Command Gaia to Defeat AI Gaia

(d). Create 30 Deathmatch Online Games, Random Map and Win

• 10 Games: Player Command Thor to Defeat AI Thor
  
• 10 Games: Player Command Odin to Defeat AI Odin
  
• 10 Games: Player Command Loki to Defeat AI Loki

(e). Create 30 Treaty Online Games, Random Map and Win

• 10 Games: Player Command Fu Xi to Defeat AI Fu Xi

• 10 Games: Player Command Shennong to Defeat AI Shennong

Step 2: 350 Online Games Online of various Modes (5 Achievements)
This step will unlock the 5 “Play 100 XXX Games“ achievements.

Create 70 Online Games of each of the following Mode. You may choose to resign after the game start instead of playing through all of them.
(a). 70 Supremacy Online Games
(b). 70 Conquest Online Games
(c). 70 Lightning Online Games
(d). 70 Deathmatch Online Games
(e). 70 Treaty Online Games

Note: For step 1 and 2, you could change the mix so long you playthrough & win 10 games of each Mode (Supremacy, Conquest, Lightning, Deathmatch & Treaty). For example, some may prefer playing Lightning (faster pace game) for the 150 Wins to shorten the time taken to unlock 15 “Commanders of XXX” achievements. Others may prefer Deathmatch for higher resources.

Step 3: 500 Online Games (2 Achievements)
With this step done, you should unlock “Play 1,000 online games” and “Play 50 quickmatch games”.

(a) Create 450 Online Games of any Mode. You may choose to resign after the game start instead of playing through all of them.
(b) Join and play 50 Quickmatch games online. You may choose to resign after the game start but that would probably impact your rating online.

4. Vs AI (12 Achievements)

53	Defeat the Soldier: Defeat 1 AI Opponent single handedly
54	Defeat the Squad: Defeat 2 AI Opponent single handedly
55	Defeat the Troop: Defeat 3 AI Opponent single handedly
56	Defeat the Platoon: Defeat 4 AI Opponent single handedly
57	Defeat the Company: Defeat 5 AI Opponent single handedly
58	Defeat the Battalion: Defeat 6 AI Opponent single handedly
59	Defeat the Regiment: Defeat 7 AI Opponent single handedly
60	Defeat the Brigade: Defeat 8 AI Opponent single handedly
61	Defeat the Division: Defeat 9 AI Opponent single handedly
62	Defeat the Army: Defeat 10 AI Opponent single handedly
63	Defeat the Horde: Defeat 11 AI Opponent single handedly

The first achievement “Be Victorious against 100 AI opponents” on the list should be completed by the “1,000 online games” section above.

For the remaining 11, you will need to play 11 games against AI under “Single Player” ==> “Random Map” games (not “Online”)
- 1 Vs 1 AI, 1 Vs 2 AI, 1 Vs 3 AI, …, 1 Vs 10 AI and 1 Vs 11 AI (11 games in total)

By setting the AI Difficulty to Easy and Instructing them to be “Protector” or “Defender” should make the challenge easier. Other useful settings include having the map “Revealed” so you can find where the AI players are located and choosing “River Nile” map can keep the AI players away. It is possible to build a Wonder and defend until Victory or summon Titan for mass destruction!

Note: The AI Players have to be in the same team (e.g. Player in Team 1 Vs AI in Team 2)

5. Units & Buildings (7 Achievements)

65	Annihilation: Kill 10,000 units in Battle
66	Time to Rebuild: Lose 1,000 buildings in Battle
67	Demolition: Destroy 2,000 buildings in Battle
68	Creating a Masterpiece: Complete 10 Wonders
69	Horror Unleashed: Complete 25 Titans
70	Stone & Steel: Complete 100 Fortress type buildings

In the process of completing the earlier Achievements, some of the last 7 achievements may have unlocked as well. For example, build a Wonder and/or Titan while working on earlier achievements.
If they have not been completed, just create Single Player matches and destroy/build the remaining units or buildings required.

Alternatively, some suggested the use of “Editor” (Mod) to achieve these. You could try to search keyword “Achievement” in the Workshop for such Mod.
