Introduction
Hi, I want to tell you and show you how to design your workshop showcase. If you don't know what showcases are and how to get them, read this first:

A showcase is a way to decorate your profile with something, showcases can contain screenshots, an overview or illustrations, and so on. Access to the storefronts opens upon reaching the tenth level. Levels are obtained by gaining experience, and experience in particular for badges

I've done this before guide, but decided to rework it. If it is not clear to you, then this can be considered a different view of this guide

For this showcase, you can select five of your workshop products from any games, as originally intended. Probably both you and I will not have five works from the workshops. I have only one of the products for the games, so it would look like this:

It looks boring, and you can't put your only work or a couple of them in the icons in the middle or on the sides, they will always shift to the left

The showcase of the Workshop consists of five icons of your work, to which the icon of the game to which the product is loaded is attached in the lower left corner. All five works are combined together and form a field measuring 750 by 150 pixels, each of the works occupies 150 by 150. You can also improve the showcase and buy a new, additional one for Steam points - I told you more about this in the "Add-on" section

What can be done with the workshop showcase, except for classic use? Here are some examples:
  • The picture is the size of an ordinary shop window (3rd level of the showcase)

  • A large picture

  • Gif, which can be of different sizes

The showcase of the workshop is good because you can put your gif without squeezing it to reduce its weight. There are 5 icons on the showcase and each one should not weigh more than 8 MB, so it turns out that you can upload a gif of ~40 MB, pre-dividing it into pieces

Showcase
Let's look at the examples: the difference between the examples is that for a larger picture, one more step is required than from the usual sizes

A long picture is loaded and processed like a gif animation, remember this. I will refer to one site,[www.ilovedimg.com] which presents all the tools we need in our work

Have you found or made yourself a suitable picture for a showcase? If not yet, then remember that in the future the picture will be 750 pixels long. Let's get started:
  • Open the tool[www.ilovedimg.com] to bring our image to the desired size

Enter the maximum height and enter the width of 150 pixels and the position X = 0, crop and save

And so we do it further, to crop the entire image into five parts, gradually introducing coordinates into the X position that differ by 150, that is, 0-150-300-450-600. You should end up with five parts, which we will upload to Steam. If by some chance, your gif animation pieces turn out to be larger than the original file, then try another cropping tool[ezgif.com]

  • This step is required only for long jobs

Open the website[hex-works.com] and upload our illustrations, the "Open" button on the top left. The advantage of this site is that it stores your latest uploaded files, if you haven't deleted them, so if you lose your work, you'll find them here

Then we scroll to the end of the notebook and replace the last pair of letters-numbers with "21". When you are driving, a red dot and the inscription "Saved" will appear next to it on the right, so everything is done and click the "Save" button on the top left and your part of the illustration will start downloading. Do this for each part

All the difficult things are left behind, it remains only to upload our works to Steam. Open Steam in the browser and open the "Illustrations" section, here select "Download illustration" from the top left, it does not matter where to download, but for convenience, select "Not from the game"

Select your file, give any name to the work, the name will not be displayed in your profile, unless of course users open your work completely, so you can leave your Easter eggs. Before downloading, open your browser's keyboard shortcut console, here's a cheat sheet:

paste this code into the console
$J('[name=consumer_app_id]').val(480);$J('[name=file_type]').val(0);$J('[name=visibility]').val(0);

Press "Enter", after which you upload your work one by one. For faster execution, after downloading one illustration, go back to the page, so you will keep the name of the illustration and the ownership right, you just need to select another file and enter the code again

In this scenario, you will not have a mark that the item is loaded to the stimulus, but if you want your favorite game to be marked, then download the illustration initially for some game

We edit the profile, select the showcase of the workshop, fill it with our works, save and rejoice. You did well!

If you, well done, want to delete your works that you don't like, or your old ones, then you should select the necessary elements in the showcase in the profile editor, save them, open them in the profile and delete each element on their own pages

The number of works in the workshop is displayed in the side menu and a counter on the showcase itself, but no one can view all the items that we uploaded in this way
Addition
It is also worth mentioning that you can insert more than five items into your workshop showcase, improving it for Steam points to 10 and 15 items. Every 5 additional items will be worth 3,000 points, which is quite a lot, but there are enough ways to get them easily. You can improve your showcase in the eyewear store:

Open the eyewear store tab, then in the side menu, the showcase section and in the middle you will notice the thing we need. Here you can also improve your other storefronts for capacity, as well as buy the same additional showcase

On the other hand, "Why do I need to improve the showcase?", such a question was raised and I answered it that I could not do this. Here is a comparison of my level 3 showcase and a possible regular showcase, where I put the pictures together and uploaded them as one in five parts. It's worth mentioning that it all depends on the maximum file size

As you can see, it is not necessary to spend 6000 points, but thanks to these same glasses you will be able to show more variety in your work. Everything is limited only by your desire and imagination
Result
That's it. Thank you for reading this guide. If you liked it, then rate it and, if possible, add it to your favorites, give out a steam award
