How to install non Workshop addons in GMOD 13

Just a guide for the uninitiated. Please note that there is a video on the addons page that I will describe below.

Prerequisites

So, you decided to read this guide, either you want to download mods from this website,[garrysmods.org] or you decided that your old mods don't work anymore. Don't worry, I'm here.
Before we get started, please, please, make sure that your addon contains a models folder and a materials folder, like this:

Once that's done you can now move on to the next part.

Installing Extended Spawnmenu

Go and open up Steam Workshop, website or app doesn't matter, and go and search up Extended Spawnmenu. Subscribe to download, and that's it.

Installing your Addons

To install your addons, either from garrysmods or gamebanana, extract the zip file, and make sure that the models and materials folder is present, after that, you can go and extract it into the addons folder. Before you even try to extract it, make sure the models and materials folder is inside a folder, for example, if you're trying to install Brawl Link, make sure the directory is like this:

--Materials

Loading up your mods addons

After that, go into GMOD and go play. It's easy!

Warning

DO NOT USE THIS METHOD TO INSTALL PLAYERMODELS, MAPS, AND LUA FILES
EVEN THOUGH PLAYERMODELS CONTAIN MATERIAL AND MODELS FOLDER, IT WON'T LOAD PROPERLY!! USE STEAM WORKSHOP FOR MAPS, LUA, AND PLAYERMODELS
