  • ABYSS COUNT increases to 100 every 3 turns

TALE OF WINGED CHAMPION SKULD
Each is fought under an ABYSS REFLECT effect
  • Constantly reduces 90% of damage taken
  • Reflects 40% of damage taken back at attacker
  • Maximizes the effect value of Dispel Reflect every 3 turns (?)

Pitchain nullifies Stat Buffs and Recovery, healing effects instead deal damage equal to half their value
Defend makes the target take damage instead of those defended
Shield reduces damage taken by the listed amount
Exhaust reduces ATK and MATK by 50%

There is some rare gear that defends against Shade, and more that defends against Pitchain, so those races may still be safe to use

Use of MATK heroes will let you ignore the Hawk's Shield effect

Humans only need to worry much about being in the Front Row if their Fire resistance or defenses are high, there only Fire Wound to affect them there.

Stonechain prevents all action, and decreases Healing received
Barriers prevent all specified damage taken for their duration
Absorption Barriers convert all damage blocked into healing
Reflection Barriers return damage blocked to the dealer
Earthwound increases Earth damage taken

Fafnir blocks all ATK damage the team takes for his 1st HP Gauge, and all MATK for the 2nd. You can only act when ignoring Barriers, or in the small moments when the Barriers fall.
Fafnir's 3rd HP Gauge has the Armor and Hawk applying Barriers to just Fafnir, requiring beating them first

You either need both ATK and MATK or Ignore Barrier, as all enemies will be covered by one type of Barrier (ATK then MATK) on the 1st & 2nd Gauge.
3rd Gauge you either want to target the rear 2 first (and probably only them) or being Ignore barrier, as, while they are uncovered by barriers then, the Reflect Barrier provided by the Hawk can mangle your team
STAR SAINT NOA ~ AEGIR

  • Don't put Therians in the first 2 positions

In spite of it's lack from the in game description, Haste is a very helpful effect to have (as it overwrites Slow)
You will not be able to reliably lower the bosses Skill Gauge, and it will raise quickly

Okay, I will not be updating this guide again, or making another (I am somewhat sorry for that) Steam is not letting me make a new guide (problems with attaching an image) or expanding this one.

I have also closed my game account, so I no longer have the information to update it.

I will probably not be updating this guide anytime soon, or if I do, it will be a complete re-write, as the EX2 difficulties change a lot of how each fight functions, and much of this guide is no longer accurate (or is, but only for EX1)

Front crystals remove all stat buffs from your 3 high Fire Resist
Put an ATK/MATK Reflect Barrier on Angrboda (whole team 2nd/3rd Gauge)

Back Crystals cut the Skill Gauge on your 2 high MATK and Blind your whole team
