How To: Fix when game doesn´t start with GFWL

Fix for GFWL - Games For Windows Live (Marketplace)

How To

It´s a really simple thing:

Some people have problems with the other gfwl Installer.
This one i have linked is working 100% tested on Windows 7 Home Premium x64 Bit

Download and install the recent version in your language from here:

After Installation has finished you are able to run FlatOut Ultimate Carnage.

Tested and working on Windows XP , Vista and Windows 7



Or you can go to

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\FlatOut Ultimate Carnage\support

and run XLiveRedist01.02.0241.00.exe as Administrator (rightklick)

After Installation has finished you are able to run FlatOut Ultimate Carnage.

When the game still doesn´t start try to run it from the .exe file inside the game folder
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\FlatOut Ultimate Carnage
(Fouc.exe & Launcher.exe & LiveUpdateLauncher.exe)

Run it as Adminsitrator for the first time !



For Windows 8 Users try this if above doesnt work:

Run Games for Windows Marketplace Installation and after Installation the Program itself as Administrator ! (Rightklick - Run as Administrator)

If this doesnt work do a "rightklick" go to "settings" "compatibility"
And try to run it in Windows 7 compatibility mode

Search for Updates after you have installed it. You can find them under PC - Settings
Menu.

If that doesnt work i have no Idea how to help Windows 8 and 8.1 users.
Windows 8 btw is ugly . Windows 7 x64 Bit Professional is the best choice for everyone.

Cliffy, danke, das war der entscheidende Tip. Go to Steam\steamapps\common\FlatOut Ultimate Carnage\support and start the "XLiveRedist01.02.0241.00" (you have maybe another version) Works 100% at windows10. Hat sofort funktioniert.
