Disable Menu FPS Lock

Disable the UE4 "Smooth FPS" 62 FPS framerate lock, so the menu doesn't feel slow on a high FPS monitor.

Open explorer and paste this into the path box:
%userprofile%\AppData\LocalLow\MCC\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor

Open "Engine.ini" in a text editor.

Paste this next section:

[/script/engine.engine] bSmoothFrameRate=False

And that's it! The game by default uses VSync in the UE4 menus, but that shouldn't be an issue.

Edit: as stated in the comments, you may need to set Engine.ini to read only for the setting to stay. I didn't have to do this, but if it doesn't work at first try setting it to read only after pasting the lines.

Edit 2: This is what it should look like, but the order actually doesn't even matter. As long as the headers keep the correct content, the engine will read it as normal.

Edit 3 (August 31st 2022): This does not work anymore, they're doing something stupid where it's not correctly loading the config initially, and treating the existing lines as comments. I will be trying to get this to work again, but it looks like 343 will have to actually fix this on their end (unless they did it intentionally for some dumb reason).

Does this work now because switching from 120 fps on main menu for the series x to 62 fps sucks

No, I really haven't really played MCC since and I couldn't get it to work. The game detects when the ini is modified, and instead writes out the default line along side the modified line. 343 did something stupid to the config system, I'm guessing it was something to do with the cross config update or something.
