[EN] Paw Paw Paw - Tips & Tricks

Since there was no guide at all when i started to play this game, i will try to share my experience and point out a few things.

If anything is missing, please comment and i will try to update accordingly

Intro

Welcome to this 2D sidescrolling Game.
It is not easy and you will need some time to finish it.
But it is possible, so let's dive in...

Things i wished i had known earlier

• Roll, Roll and roll some more

  - Seriously this is the most important thing you can do. It will keep you out of the enemies way and you are invulnerable to (almost) all of the attacks they throw at you.
  Further it is very usefull to get behind enemy rangers.
  
  

• Difficulty

  - When you start the game up, it is set to normal, you should set it to easy. This game is pretty hard. And there is no need to play on higher difficulty at the beginning. Just take it on easy, you can switch it up after your playthrough.
  
  

• Food

  - This is the ingame currency, not much more to add, but if you are aiming for 100% achievements, start right away with collecting all food you can get, break every crate, every barrel, kill enemies, chop down trees. All of this will slowly bring us closer to the needed 500k overall and the 100k in the bank (attention! this needs to be done on one character, since the bank is character specific).
  
  

• Juice

  - Don't underestimate the impact of juice. This yellow liquid will fill the bar beneath your health and give you the option to use your special skills. And all of this without the risk of fighting (which fills the yellow bar as well).
  
  

• Skill Tree

  - Invest your points in weapon mastery and inventory. The Mastery skills will allow you to use more powerful weapons with higher level, while the inventory gives you space to carry more potions, eggs and bombs. The third thing you should have an eye on is the points for the special skills.
  Note that it is possible to reskill, but at the cost of food.

Characters

This game offers some characters with different play styles.
Knights, Barbarians, Rangers & Thiefs.

All of them have two individual special abilities, so just pick the one that fits your play style the best.
Beware you will be playing the same character most of the time, so choose carefully.
Maybe just test them in the first few levels before deciding, though some characters are only unlocked after certain progress.

I personally picked Kamu right at the start and sticked to him till the very end.

Right at the start it is possible to unlock Domba.
To do this, in the level Antipants HQ, head to the top and go behind the leftmost building until it unlocks.

Hidden Bosses

So in this game there are two hidden bosses:

Boss 1:

You will find him at level Forest 2
But to me he seems a bit random.
To spawn him you will need to hit the trees, like all of them.
I sadly can not tell which ones exactly trigger him, since he does not always spawn...

You will find him at level MT Rock 1

Look for a suspicious rock formation

Be fast and activate all 4 pillars to spawn this boss

Road to 100%

So as the titled mentions, i was aiming for 100% of the achievements and i was in for a wild ride.

There are some categories of achievements but i won't explain everything, but let's start:

Story (color code: blue)

You will get all of these in the progress of story, and should achieve all of them after finishing the boss,

Bosses (color code: gold):

Not much to say, you will either get them naturally while playing, or you need to look in the section hidden bosses.

Characters (color code: purple):

Again not much to add, story or for Domba - look in the spoiler in the section characters.

General (color code: blue):

Play with some friends, roll, use potions, destroy barrels, die, defeat enemies, defeat bystanders (city levels), and level up.


Only one thing to mention, for "Old Dog" you need to reach level 30

Grinding (color code: red):

This is where the fun starts, for all of them you will need some time...

Weapons:

This will come rather quick, just collect 50 different weapons.


This one is way harder and i tooke me almost as long as Big Spender.
You will need 20 different legendary weapons, those are map specific.

Items

You do not need to focus this one, it will come just by playing.


You can easily farm this in any outpost. Just buy and use them.


This can also be done in any outpost at once, or just buy them and start any mission (50x).


Some outposts sell those, or just use the one you find in the levels.

Food

Just store 100k in your bank (character specific!), spend it afterwards for the other achievements


Damn, 500k is very much...
It took me ~36h playtime (some afk) and i almost lost all beliefs in the meantime and was sometimes close to giving up.
Just grind, grind, grind! You will get there when you least expect it.

Conclusion

Thanks for reading my guide.
I really enjoy this game, although to the end it gets a bit grind heavy.
Hopefully you will also have some fun with it.

Update 06/07/2021
So after 36h playtime i have done it.
I like this game a lot, if it wasn't so grind heavy.
If you just want to play it for the hell of it, it is a 7/10 (especially with friends!)
Regarding the achievements, it is to heavy on the grinding part, so only 4/10 on this end.

For big spender, you can back up playerdata in appdata to get it. Just use all of the money in that save, alt+f4, replace it with your backup save, reopen the game, repeat.

Also, you can change the difficulty in the main menu. You can't do it after you load your save.

@wolfdizz, I think it really depends on the character you play. E.g. with Domba it's really easy, you activate throwing daggers, you throw tow on top and two on the bottom.
What character are you playing?
