By BrockBoB
In this guide I'll tell you how can you run Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 with more than 60 fps, as I'm not completely sure of this metod I won't make any promises, but for me it worked without any problem.

I hope it helps you too :)

IMPORTANT
This guide was actually incomplete, I just figured out that you need to copy your .ini file
and put it somewhere else, than you need to paste it in the game's folder, the same that I specify down below:
  • C:\Programs\steamapps\common\NARUTO SHIPPUDEN Ultimate Ninja STORM 4

I still think the other step is required to make this work but keep in mind to follow this part too. I believe this is what might have caused the game to run at more fps.

Let me know if this is the case as I'm not quiete sure myself.
How can I run Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 at more than 60 fps?
If you are like me and want to run your game at 144 fps or just more than 60 fps because you have a monitor that can handle it, don't worry! I got you covered.

All you need to do is just to run the game from the .exe file and not from Steam or from a Steam shortcut! (remember to follow the first part of the guide :3)
In the options the game should say that it's set to 60 fps but if you check with an external fps counter you should see your desired frame rate.

I know this is too much simple to seem real, that's what I thought at first too, but it's actually the only way to do this. Trust me i tried to modify the .ini file, to change stuff around in the main and DLC path, but nothing.

To do this yourself just navigate where your game is installed, usually:
  • C:\Programs\steamapps\common\NARUTO SHIPPUDEN Ultimate Ninja STORM 4
There you'll find the .exe, double click that and you are done! Remember to open the .exe in the monitor you'll want to play with because it will automatically open the game in the same monitor you used to first run the .exe

Optional
You could also create a shortcut for easy access to your game, to do that simply click the right mouse button over the .exe and click on the Create a desktop shortcut option, your shortcut will be on your desktop and you can either use it there or move it where you need it.

I might have guessed the problem, it's not the fps that increased, rather the refresh rate. So it does appear way more fluid but the fps are still 60. I'm sorry if I brought confusion.

why not try a program fps counter like geforce experience? This doesn't make any sense at all and i even tried it to confirm

Also I forgot to mention, a theory I have is that my .ini file is in some way modified such that it allows the game to run at 144 fps, but all I did is copy it somewhere and then copy it back after a while so I'm not sure how it would have been modified.

Yes I would gladly like to show you that it worked for me, add me as a friend and I'll try to send you some footage or some kind of proof.

As said in the guide I don't know if this is really the reason it worked but I did exactly what I said, I tinkered with the .ini file before but it never gave me results, instead with this method Storm 4 runs at 144 fps, I can say that because my monitor has an fps counter built in and also its pretty clear when you jump from 60 fps to 144 fps.

I would really like to go to the bottom of this and say without any reasonable doubt that it works for everyone and that this is the correct method.

This didn't work for me (nor should it if you think about the 'steps'), what does copying the config.ini to another folder and pasting it back have to do with anything? Launching any game through an .exe just opens the game through steam anyway. I would need some proof of this working as well as a better detailed guide to believe this.

Oh I forgot, Smk2 you can find the .ini file in the game's folder as I showed above.
