How to set up a proper Disassembly line
By DeadMechGaming
Been seeing a lot of people having issues with getting a proper Disassembly line set up, so I decided to make a short guide about it.

Disassembly Bill 1
The first one is going to be your quality check. With the way the sliders are set up it'll only look for any items that are in that quality range. So in this example photo anything superior or above is untouched in this bill, but anything from flimsy to fine will be disassembled.

Make sure that the only thing adjusted in this bill is the quality slider.

Disassembly Bill 2
The second one is going to be your HP check. With the way the sliders are set up in this one, all items that have reached 50% or lower will be taken to be disassembled, leaving only items that are 50% and above.

Make sure with this bill that the only thing you've changed is the HP slider.

Disassembly Bill 3
Here is the third and final check. With this bill it'll take anything else that has been designated and that made it through bills 1 and 2, and will disassemble it.

The only things you should adjust in this bill is the items listed. Deselect the items you want to keep, and make sure the ones you want disassembled are selected.

Conclusion
If you set-up your disassembly bills like this then it'll leave you with only the specific items you want. So items you don't want, like wooden armor or savage plate armor, will always get disassembled no matter what; but items like short swords and heavy crossbows, will only get disassembled if they meet the criteria of the first two bills (low quality or low HP).

Using this method I've been able to clean up and process all of the armor/weapons into new materials after a raid within a few in-game days; and I've been able to get only the best quality/HP gear for my villagers. Also, it helps passively train my tailors and smiths fairly quickly into higher levels with little to no effort from me.

This works without any issues as it did with the Rimworld recycling mod, which uses the exact same game mechanics. So if you're having issues after setting your bills up like mine, then 9 times out of 10 it's a slider that's set wrong (I do it all the time, literally had to fix one the other day because I accidentally set bill 2 to melt things above 50% instead of below).

Hope this helps some of y'all that are having issues.

@ger

Well for one, there is a pretty bad bug that the devs are working on smashing right now that causes maps to flood; so until that is fixed I'm not wanting to potentially loose an entire save for that.

But as far as things being added, supposedly they are working on adding things like drawbridges and gates; also prisoners, caves, ruins, fire being able to spread and many other things are being added in the next few updates.

That link shows the latest roadmap and what they are working on currently.

@Spotter

Thank you XD,

Like I said in my description, I noticed right after the game came out that a ton of people were having issues and since I understood the mechanic from years of using the Recycling mod in Rimword, which is literally the exact same system, that I'd just make a guide on how to use it correctly.

Glad to see it's still of help and relevance, as I haven't played GM for a while lol. Still waiting for some specific things to be added before I get back in.

You nailed it with your Description, and Clarifycation. I have been doing this for resources and saving storage space since the 2nd Month of playing GM. 👍👍 5⭐

Unless they'll change this game dramatically:)

@Gorgoneus You're welcome. Glad to see this guide is still relevant and able to help people.

Thank you, sounds reasonble:)

@Gorgoneus Yes you do. I'd figure that's a given since you can't disassemble wooden stuff without the carpentry bench, metal stuff without the smithy, or cloth/leather items without a tailor's bench and all of those are locked behind research.

Do you need some tchnologyes or workbenches to dissassemble difirent kinde of materials, or you not?
