Guide:
There exists a semi-secret achievement for Cortex Command.

The "Look Sir, Free-- OH GOD NO!" achievement is given for releasing 500 crabs on your enemies. It shows up on the achievement list for the game, but not when you hit all achievements from your Library, hence the semi secret nature. Now whether thats 500 minimum, or 500 exactly that is a lot of clicking in the Buy menu. And what do you do when you lose count?

So without further ado heres the method I used:

First create a preset with at least one crab in it. If you put 10 Crabs in it you can kill 2 birds with one stone and get the "Look Sir, Free Crabs!" achievement now.

Once the preset is saved, exit the game.

Now you want to navigate to find the LoadoutsP1.ini. It will be in your Steam Install directory. Said directory should look something like the following:

C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\Cortex Command\Base.rte

Now you're gonna wanna open that LoadoutsP1.ini in a text editor with line numbers. Take a minute to back up the .ini if you're cautious.

Once its open, look for a preset that looks something like this:

AddLoadout = Loadout
DeliveryCraft = ACRocket
PresetName = Base.rte/Rocket MK1
AddCargoItem = ACrab

Those last two lines are the ones you're going to be working with. Specifically:

PresetName = Base.rte/Crab
AddCargoItem = ACrab

Take note of the line number and C+P those 2 lines underneath the originals, in the same formating (indents etc) until there are exactly 500 of them total, original included, taking up 1000 lines. Save the .ini with the original filename and you're good to go.

Head into the game as normal, go to the buy menu and select and deploy the VERY long list of crabs.
Be warned that during selection and deployment you might get LOTS of lag. And I mean lots.
Wait out the lag spike and watch a thermonuclear crabslosion. Then exit the game and admire your new achievement.

If this helped, rate it, leave a comment, whatever and I might write more of these guides.

Disclaimer
Let me get this one thing out of the way. This is not cheating. Creating a preset in the .ini, along with modding and power usage in general is something heavily supported in this game's community, and doing this this way is the only feasible way I've found of getting this achievement. If you disagree, enjoy your RSI from clicking but let others play the smart way.

On the otherside: I take no responsiblity if you fail to backup or properly edit your files.
You take the risk yourself.

Of note, in previous versions due to the mechanics of the game (i.e. when too many entities exist, it purges them all), any time you use thepreset, all actors affected by gravity were potentially subject to purging - including your brainbot! This means you'd risk losing that particular game, so it was suggested you do this in the tutorial mission (where you have a braincase instead) rather than a campaign misson. Thanks to XxMegamanxX for pointing this out.

However, it's currently untested as to whether this is the case in current versions, so fair warning.

btw idk if anyones cares about this but you can save your brain bot fro m the purge with a dropship in smothing like a cave or bunker and you will just have the dropship explode and your brain should live along with everything else in that dropship

You'll need exactly 1004 lines in your file btw

a bit of an explanation, when an actor dies, it ragdolls, before becoming part of the enviornment

when the game has more actors than it can handle (in this case crabs) it kills the oldest actors to make room and makes any ragdolls part of the destructable enviornment.

the actors it is able to kill to make room includes brains, hence why having so many crabs kills fucking everything

One other thing: You should probably make it more clear you have to have 500 crabs exactly. Just manually clicking, I had around a thousand crabs in my preset within half a minute or so, and upon releasing them, nothing. No achievement.
However, when I went into the .INI files and made the number 500 exactly, I recieved the achievement.

Also, for this reason I think that the developers intended for people to mess around with the .INI files to get this achievement. Getting over 500 crabs is easy enough ingame, but precisely 500 is something not many people are going to do in-game.

Also, releasing that many crabs still destroys the brain case in the tutorial mission.

Can confirm that releasing a whole bunch of crabs all at once will kill everything, including the brainbot. Unsure if this is due to purging or an earthquake, but either way it will kill the brainbot.

Wrong type in Reader when passed to Serializable::Create() Error happened in Base.rte/LoadoutsP1.ini at line 24!

The last frame has been dumped to 'abortscreen.bmp'
