Yakuza 3 Remastered Spoiler-Free 100% Achievement Guide
От cowboydan72
This should cover everything you will need to know for all 50 steam achievements with little to no spoilers, and no, this does not cover the entire in-game completion list. Not all of this will be my own work, there is a ridiculous amount of information that goes into 100% and I do not want to spend 20 hours writing out all of the substories when we have CyricZ for that. I will credit anyone else's work at the top of the section it is in, and if you want to use any of my work here, by all means go ahead, but please credit me. If you have any comments complaints or would like something explained further please comment, I am very open to suggestions as this is my first guide. Oh and you should probably read through the whole guide first if you are just starting your playthrough as there are a lot of things that are easier if you get them done early.

Adventure
All of these achievements will almost definitely be obtained through you playthrough of the game and while finishing the other achievements, but here they are in the off chance, you missed one of them.

Blogging Debut
Have your first Revelation.

You should run into a foreigner named Mack in Okinawa and he will introduce Kiryu to blogging.
Compulsive Vandal
Break 30 weapons picked up in battle.

Unless you decided to exclusively use fists, you will definitely get this one by the end of the game, just pick up everything around you.
Heat Action Pro
Finish 10 battles with Heat Actions.
Key Collector
Open a total of 10 lockers in Kamurocho and Downtown Ryukyu.

These things are everywhere, in buildings, in the street, in the rafters sometimes. If you see a little glowing speck on the ground just examine it, it is almost definitely a locker key and you can use them at the coin lockers marked by a "C" on the map. Some do require you to get close and look at them by hitting R3 for the free camera.
Marathon Runner
Run 42.195km.

This one I only got shortly after my first playthrough while doing substories in premium adventure.
Walking Bank
Accumulate 10,000,000 yen.

You will get this if you finish all of the gambling challenges for minigame master, I will go into more detail in the minigames section for cheat items and what not to maximize profit.

Complete all the substories for all the achievements here.

Substory Addict
Complete 80 Substories. (See Substory Completionist for more.)
Substory Completionist
Complete all Substories.
There are 119 substories in total and it is a real slog to get through all of them. I highly recommend working through as many as you can as you see them because having to do all of them at once is terrible. You can do all of them in premium adventure and there are 2 with Rikiya and 1 with Haruka in Kamurocho as far as I am aware. If you cannot seem to get a substory to activate try changing the time of day with Mariko at New Serena or with Saki at Morning Glory depending on where you are.

This link has a list of all the substories compiled in the order of appearance in the substory list in game and categorizes them by chapter so you can bang all of them out as they appear if you want to, courtesy of CyricZ. I have copied the list of the substory names below and here is a link to his guide with in-depth descriptions of each substory.
Disclaimer: Some of these will be worded slightly differently as he made this guide for the PS4 Remastered Collection but the substories and the order are the same as the PC remaster.

Minigames
Most of these will be obtained while going for Minigame Master but a few you have to go out of your way for. Each achievement will show the details of obtaining it, but most basic strategies for minigames and such will be covered all under Minigame Master.

Big Tuna
Catch a tuna.

You can fish on the beach right outside of Morning Glory. Tuna are classified as maguro and spawn in the 100m-150m range, you do not even need great bait, no other fish goes all the way to 150m so you have a decent chance of getting it. Better bait lessens the chance of junk (I think) and you can buy it at the Public Market.
Break Ace
Get a break ace in nine-ball pool.

You can play pool at Aqua Sky in Downtown Ryukyu. You have to hit the nine-ball in on the break so I just followed this video (again by DanteDevil12) and it took a few tries to get it exactly right.
Chip Hoarder
Earn a combined total of 3,000 points in poker, roulette, and blackjack.

You have to earn at least 10,000 in each game for Minigame Master so you will get it very quickly.
Exposed Dragon
Win a hand of mahjong when you only have 1 tile concealed.

Pretty much accept all pon, chi, and kan offers until you are down to 1 tile and then steal the final piece for that last pair (ron). This can take a bit, you just have to get lucky.
Fowl Play
Get a turkey while bowling.

With the score you have to get for Minigame Master a Turkey is almost inevitable.
Hat Trick
Get a hat trick in in darts.

You can play darts at Aqua Sky in Downtown Ryukyu and Bantam in Kamurocho. A hat trick is just 3 bullseyes.
Karaoke King
Sing all songs at karaoke.

The Karaokekan in Downtown Ryukyu is in Hatsumatchi next to the M Store and the one in Kamurocho is on Senryo Avenue. There are 6 songs in total to sing. You can do this on your own or you can save it for dates with the hostesses and hit 2 birds with 1 stone. (Heads Up: You have to romance every hostess for the substories)
Nice Hitter
Hit 2 panels with one ball in the Hard Game at the batting cage.

Essentially line up the center of the cursor with one of the lines to hit 2.
Here is a video by DanteDevil12 showcasing that.
Power Driver
Hit a 350-yard drive during a tournament in golf.

The golf course can only be accessed via the monorail in Okinawa. You have to get a -5 in the championship for Minigame Master and for a few of the holes (the 4th and the 9th if memory serves), you can hit it as far as possible with your strongest club. You will definitely get this without really trying.
Pro Gamer
Win 5 stuffed animals in UFO Catcher and get a high score in a shooting game.

You have to win all prizes for Minigame Master and it is not particularly hard, just time consuming. The shooting game is Boxcelios and you have to make it to level 50. The strategy for it will be covered in Minigame Master.
Tag Hoarder
Earn a combined total of 3,000 points in cee-lo, cho-han, koi-koi, and oicho-kabu.

This is just like Chip Hoarder.
Touchy-Feely
Play both massage modes.

This minigame is in Kamurocho at Love In Heart on North Senryo Avenue, there are two massages and even if you fail them it counts.
Unwavering Shogi Player
Win a game of shogi without ever moving your king.

I beat this by playing challenge 1 according to the video shown in the Minigame Master achievement description.
Minigame Master
Minigame Master
Complete all minigames.

This achievement is arguably the worst in the game, but it isn't too bad if you start going through while you play the main story. You have to complete the minigames completion list in game, the specifics will be listed below.
  • Aroma Massage - Achieve Serene Dragon Rating in both the Standard Massage Course and the Oil Massage & Ear Cleaning Course
Play this game pretty safe it is not hard to get a Serene Dragon in either mode. The standard massage is 50 seconds long and you need 20,000 points, the oil massage is 90 seconds and you need 30,000 points.
  • Darts - You will have to win 18 games of darts. There are 3 game types and 3 difficulties and you have to beat each type on each difficulty in both Kamurocho and Downtown Ryukyu. This darts game in particular controls far worse than any in Yakuza 0, Yakuza Kiwami 1, or Yakuza Kiwami 2, so brace yourself. I found that managing the speed at which you pull back and release the right joystick was the biggest factor in precision. I would aim slowly pull down the right joystick about halfway to 3/4 of the way down and then release and over time you get better at it, but it is hard. If this does not work for you, try hitting up the gamefaqs discussion boards for yakuza 3 darts because I have seen a lot of suggestions for how to play this minigame. This guide was provided by Kon in the comments and it was written by Omelette du Fromage and it works as a pretty easy cheese for this minigame.
    https://steamlists.com/yakuza-3-remastered-easy-darts-minigame/
  • Pool - You have to win 12 games of pool. There are 3 game types, but 4 difficulties this time and only the one location. For Nine-ball you can usually just hope they will screw up on the 8 or 9 ball and you can take over and win. The other two game modes are a little more skill-based. This minigame is incredibly punishing, specifically in this remaster. You move the right joystick back and then push it forward in order to hit the cue ball, but your ball will curve if you move the joystick slightly to the side, it is very sensitive. I used this guide by Omelette du Fromage to turn off the horizontal sensitivity and at the very least it felt better, it still curved occasionally but I think it helped. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2389556285
  • Karaoke - There are only 6 songs, just play them until you get 900+ on each one, it is very lenient for a rhythm game, it shouldn't give you too much trouble.
  • Bowling - Get over 200 points in a 10 frame game. The bowling game is very finicky, just try and find a way to get a strike pretty often, it can take a few tries to get it down. Here is the video I used again by DanteDevil12.
  • Gambling - There are 7 gambling minigames required for completion but I ran out of text for this section so I will continue these in the next one.
  • UFO Catcher - Win every prize. Chura-chan and the Yummy Bars only appear in the arcade on Nakamichi Street. You can reset the prizes either by walking out and back in or talking to the employee. Here is a list of the prizes
    • Piyo-chan
    • Silkie Piyo-chan (only spawns at the back of a mountain of piyo-chans)
    • Sky Piyo Chan
    • Peach Piyo-chan
    • Kitty Kat (Tiger)
    • Kitty Kat (Shorthair)
    • Kitty Kat (Blue)
    • Kitty Kat (Calico)
    • Beary Bear (Brown)
    • Beary Bear (Grey)
    • Beary Bear (Blue)
    • Beary Bear (Pink)
    • Yummy Bar (Corn)
    • Yummy Bar (Cheese)
    • Yummy Bar (Natto)
    • Chura-chan
    • Big Piyo-chan
    • Fat Cat (Tiger)
    • Fat Cat (Shorthair)
    • Fat Cat (Blue)
    • Fat Cat (Calico)
    • Biggy Bear (Brown)
    • Biggy Bear (Gray)
    • Biggy Bear (Blue)
    • Biggy Bear (Pink)
  • Shogi - Win 5 games. I just played challenge 1 five times as shown in this video by Joeloyo !
  • Mahjong - Earn over 50,000 in one match. I don't think there are cheat items, I got this in about 30 minutes, just keep playing.
  • Batting Center - Score 1800+ on each of the 4 difficulties. Expert is very hard, I recommend going back to hard and putting some sort of marker (I used tape) where the cursor is so that you know where it is for expert, even then the pitching is schnasty.
  • Golf - Get -5 in the tournament. Just keep playing it, no real advice or cheese, just keep getting better, this took me a couple hours.
  • Fishing - Catch every type of fish, there are 8. Maguro (100m-150m), Gurukun (30m-100m), Abasa (0m-50m, Dusk), Mibai (50m-100m, Morning), Irabucha (50m-120m), Green Turban (0m-30m, Evening), Coral Branch (0m-50m, Dusk), and Umbrella (0m-50m, Day)
  • Shooting - Reach level 50 in Boxcelios. Essentially just aim for the glowing block as fast as you can. This video by Ragnar Henchbrok explains the technique a bit better.
Minigame Master - Gambling
  • General Gambling Info - For all of the gambling minigames it will only count your earnings for completion. If you start and end a session with 3,000 but you gained 10,000 and then lost it all that still counts. Cee-lo and cho-han start with a max bet of 200 tags. You can increase the max bet to 500 and 800 once you have reached chapter 7 by playing each game 10 and 15 times respectively. By chapter 12 you can raise it to 1000 after 20 plays. You do have to leave and rejoin the table for the new max bet to be applied. For the other tag-based games you will likely reach the requirement before even unlocking a new bet, and casino minigames start with the max bet unlocked. I recommend starting with cee-lo and unlocking its max bet as it has the most cheat items, so once you have max bet unlocked you can earn a ton of tags to use in the other games and trade in for walking bank after you complete all the tag based minigames. For casino games start with blackjack to work up a good stack of chips. You can only use 1 cheat item per game, meaning you have to leave and come back to the table to use another, hitting play again does not reset it.
Here are all the maps of locker keys needed for the cheat items courtesy of CyricZ.
    Kamurocho:
    Ryukyu:

  • Cee-lo - Win 20,000 tags. Again try to play at least until 800 bets are unlocked but preferably 1000 before using cheat items to get the most of them. There are 3 cheat items for cee-lo, the 1-1-1 Card which rolls a triple 1 winning 5 times your bet, the 1-2-3 Gum which makes all opponents roll 1-2-3 losing twice their bets (use as banker), and the Piss Mountain Stone which makes opponents piss/miss the pot and automatically lose.
    • 1-1-1 Card - Kamurocho Locker 4 and Kamurocho Locker 10
    • 1-2-3 Gum - Ryukyu Locker 35
    • Piss Mountain Stone - Kamurocho Locker 5 and Ryukyu Locker 34
  • Cho-han - Win 20,000 tags. Always use the max bet for this one and just pick the side that has fewer people on it because the payout is higher and the odds are the same. There are 3 cheat items for cho-han. The Lopsided Cigarette skews the bets but does not change the odds, the Even Goro's Beads will make the next roll even, and the 1-1-1 card guarantees snake cards so once you have the option you can guess both numbers and use this.
    • Lopsided Cigarette - Ryukyu Locker 15 and Kamurocho Locker 27
    • Even Goro's Beads - Kamurocho Locker 17
    • 1-1-1 Card - Kamurocho Locker 4 and Kamurocho Locker 10
  • Koi-koi - Win 10,000 tags. There are no cheats for koi-koi, just keep playing on max difficullty and wager with 3 rounds, and I won the 10,000 before unlocking advanced, it just takes time. If you need help playing just start by figuring out which cards end up in the 3rd and 4th piles on the bottom right because those are the most valuable cards, as you play more you get how to make hands pretty quickly.
  • Oicho-Kabu - Win 10,000 tags. There are no cheat items for oicho-kabu either but it is not very hard. Just try and get as close to 9 as possible. There are a few special hands, 9-1 as dealer is an automatic win and 4-1 as a player is a win except againts 9-1 so I always picked 4 if it was an option, and three of a kind wins as either but will probably never happen.
  • Roulette - Win 20,000 chips. This is really easy with the 3 cheat items. There is the zero jewel which makes it a 0 or 00, the black jewel makes it black, and the red jewel makes it red. I just used the zero jewel and then put it in the middle for a clean 18,000 but you can pick 0 or 00 and just reload a save right before if you don't get it because this makes you 35,000 chips.
    • Zero Jewel - Show Rikiya around Kamurocho in the main story, do everything he wants to
    • Red Jewel - Kamurocho Locker 38
    • Black Jewel - Ryukyu Locker 9
  • Poker - Win 10,000 chips in ONE SITTING. This means you just cannot leave the table until you have earned 10,000 chips which is relatively easy with cheat items. Make sure to use them at the start of a hand for the best outcome, if you use them in the middle of a hand it applies to that hand right then and there. The Royal Joker Card is the only cheat item for poker found in Kamurocho Locker 7 and Ryukyu Locker 12. I just kept hitting bet and often times won with a pair, so just keep betting to keep them betting, no need to play cautiously.
  • Blackjack - Win 10,000 chips in ONE SITTING. Same as poker, don't get up. Always play high stakes blackjack especially if starting with the cheat items. There are 2 cheat items for blackjack, the blackjack amulet which gives you blackjack 5 times in a row and the bust amulet which makes the dealer bust 5 times in a row. The 2 blackjack amulets will get you well over 10,000 chips.
    • Blackjack Amulet - Kamurocho Locker 23 and Ryukyu Locker 26
    • Bust Amulet - Ryukyu Locker 5
Ultimate Challenger
A LOT OF BOSS SPOILERS FOR THIS ACHIEVEMENT

Ultimate Challenger
Play all rounds in Ultimate Match mode after beating the game.

I will try and explain all of these to the best of my ability, some of them are very frustrating. It says play, but you have to beat all of them for it to count, no you do not have to get S rank. If you do go for S rank on all of them you get a War God Talisman as a fun reward.
  • Melee - Mostly just wacky battles with fun gimmicks, try to have fun with these because they will get much harder.
    • Match 1 - Use the weapons with the d-pad, sword and spear carried me.
    • Match 2 - Again use those weapons.
    • Match 3 - Shoot them all they respawn behind and in front of yo
    • Match 4 - Use the lighter and stomp, that's it, it takes a while.
    • Match 5 - Make it through the whole Tamashiro building, you do not fight the boss at the end.
    • Match 6 - Try to avoid using heat actions unless you are at full heat because you can lose quickly and I recommend taking out the man in the puffy jacket first.
    • Match 7 - Use heat actions as much as possible because they pause the timer and your health depletion, the stool heat action is pretty high damage and goes on for a while so that's good. Watch out for the tough woman, this fight just takes a few tries to get the hang of.
    • Match 8 - The enemies regenerate health so try and stay on one until they die and it is easiest to finish them off with the stomp heat action.
    • Match 9 - Make sure to use your weapons and heat actions for a quick fight.
    • Match 10 - Go for the guy with the gun in the back as fast as you can, he dies in one throw. Then pick up his gun and shoot as many of the others and just try not to get hit on those last couple guys.
  • One-on-One - Komaki parry hard carried me through all of these followed by square, square, square, triangle, triangle from behind repeated for the whole fights. Remember you can only parry fists and melee weapons, not kicks.
    • Match 1 - Defeat Rikiya, he is pretty easy to parry and the tables do some good damage too.
    • Match 2 - Defeat Lau Ka Long, I hate this fight, just do whatever you did to beat him in story mode or just use the parry strategy.
    • Match 3 - Defeat Joji Kazama, just keep a lookout for when he puts his hands in position to parry any attacks or grabs because it is very punishing.
    • Match 4 - Defeat Andre Richardson, the square, square, square, triangle, triangle combo often hits him from the front and it is very easy to get behind him when he is shooting to do the combo.
    • Match 5 - Defeat Mine, Just practice the parries until you get his move set down, it will help you later on.
  • Challenge - These are pretty janky like the melee battles but harder.
    • Match 1 - Just run to the pink circle, that's it.
    • Match 2 - Beat a few guys with your limited move set, charging triangle is pretty good or building up heat and killing with stools.
    • Match 3 - Use all of the heat actions shown in the bottom right. First is the firearm flip, walk up to a guy with a gun and use a heat action. Next pull out the short sword and sprint into a crowd and do a heat action while sprinting, this one is finicky. Get to red heat and then use the Komaki parry to stun, then do a heat action on the stunned opponent for dragon king essence. Press down on the d-pad with heat to smoke, then use a heat action to spit it at someone. Pull out the sword again and do a heat action against a wall. Finally get to red heat again and grab one opponent and drag him to another to bash their heads together.
    • Match 4 - This is similar to the last challenge. First sprint and press triangle for a dropkick. Then get knocked and spam cross while falling to recover. Then evade with cross and hit triangle during the evasion to attack. Get knocked down again and spam triangle while falling to dash forward for the reversal. Lastly, hold triangle until your stance changes and then release.
    • Match 5 - Use R1 to lock on and push the small guys on the edge towards the center, then move into the center and use the extendable staff's circle move.
    • Match 6 - Break all the objects in the room, avoid heat action because it kills them a lot faster and you don't need to worry about time.
    • Match 7 - Don't let any of your weapons reach 0. I started with the stun gun until it was at 1, and then I just held triangle with the hammer and tried to hit all 3 enemies with every spin, the hammer heat action also does a lot of damage.
    • Match 8 - Definitely try and take out the big guy in red first because each red guy you kill is replaced by a man in black and every other red enemy can just be thrown away from the guys in black to avoid hitting them.
    • Match 9 - This sucks, the final chase with Mack. Play it a few times, all the pedestrians spawn in set locations so learn them and learn how to avoid them and get to know the course. Cutting to the right on the sidewalk at the very beginning cuts a good amount of space between you and Mack immediately.
    • Match 10 - Taunt to refresh the 5 second timer. Do not use heat actions because the timer does not stop for you. You can tap R2 to taunt or what I did is land the same square, square, square, triangle, triangle combo over and over again and after every one hold R2 for a bit to enter Golden Dragon stance which counts as a taunt.
  • Team - In these matches you have a partner and if either of you die, you lose.
    • Match 1 - Go for the back of whoever is targeting Date for some easy damage or just get Mikio out of the way immediately with tables and such, both worked pretty quickly for me.
    • Match 2 - I tried to take care of the one with the gun as fast as possible because guns are obnoxious but both of these guys are pretty easy to fight and Rikiya should not go down by any means.
    • Match 3 - Try and hit as many at once as you can or aim for their backs again. Once again, Rikiya can hold his own plenty well.
    • Match 4 - Majima can definitely hold his own, so I went for Andre Richardson because I hate guns and wanted him out, then taking out Mine with Majima is really easy.
    • Match 5 - This is essentially a defense mission. Akimoto is very week so prioritize anyone who targets him and try to keep enemies on the ground. The guy in the purple jacket tends to target him more than the other so take him out as fast as you can.
  • Ultimate - These are all boss rushes, and it gets very difficult with no healing items and only a little recovery between fights in some of them. I will not explain every boss because essentially you just need to abuse the Komaki parry and/or tiger drop, and get really good at reading and fighting all the bosses.
    • Match 1 - Rikiya, Tamashiro 1, Tamashiro 2, and Joji Kazama
    • Match 2 - Kanda, Coliseum Majima, Andre Richardson, and Mine
    • Match 3 - Lau Ka Long, Joji Kazama, and Kazuma Kiryu (These are all the IF7 versions)
    • Match 4 - Renji Kamiyama, Shoji Yonashiro, and Sotaro Komaki (Parry the first two, and use a sword on Komaki)
    • Match 5 - Rikiya, Tamashiro 1, Kanda, Coliseum Majima, Lau Ka Long, Joji Kazama, Tamashiro 2, Andre Richardson, Mine, Kamiyama, Yonashiro, and Komaki (Good luck)
All the other stuff
Bounty Hunter
Apprehend all hitmen.

In chapter 6 You will meet Ibuki and he will take you back to Kamuro Castle in Nakamich Alley where you learn about these hitmen known as the reapers. Basically just accept requests from him until there are no more. There are a few in Ryukyu too, talk to the guy at the back of the Shogi Parlor by the monorail to accept those missions. They should not be too hard.
Careless Dragon
Knock over 100 people.

Just work on this throughout your whole playthrough. Every now and then when you bump into people they fall completely on the ground instead of just moving back a bit, do that 100 times, so keep running into everybody as you play. If you do not have it by the end, theater square and the street by New Serena are pretty crowded usually so they are good for grinding it out.
Fashionista
Create a fashionable hostess.

You have to max out one of the four beauty stats on the graph in the hostess game. Kirie is arguably the best for this because of her naturally high cute stat and she can be found on the East end of Ryukyu Boulevard. If you already started with someone else that is okay, you have to bring them to the no. 1 spot for a substory and then you get to pick a new girl and you keep all of your unlocks. Here is the build I used for Kirie's max cute stat. Format is Category: Item - row, column
  • Dress: One Piece (Purple)
  • Hair: Loose Curls - 1,1

Fat Cat
Spend 300,000 yen in one visit to a hostess club.

Just buy the gold champagne and that covers it by itself. You may want to wait until the end game when you have good amount of money.
Gourmet Aficionado
Order the most expensive item in all restaurants.

Simply order the most expensive item from every restaurant in Downtown Ryukyu and Kamurocho. Some shops have multiple items that are the most expensive, I think you are good just ordering one of them but I am not sure. You might wanna play it safe and get all of them so you do't have to go back. You cannot eat if you have full health so I usually got into fights and let them hit me for a bit on my way to the next restaurant or you can buy a bunch of squid bait from the market in Ryukyu and eating that will hurt you a bit. Here are all of the items you need from all of the shops. Item names may be a little different because these are from the original but it should be similar.
Downtown Ryukyu:
  • Aqua Sky: Laphroaig 30 Years.
  • Blue Seal: Blue Wave, Pineapple, and Ube.
  • Quickly Tea and Boba: Peach Juice, Peanut Soya Bean, and Passion Fruit Juice.
  • Sam's Maui Grill: Deluxe Course Dinner 2.
  • Smile Burger Ryukyu: Giga Smile Burger Set.
  • Umachi Diner: Sashimi Platter.
  • Waraba Okinawan Soba: Tebichi Soba, and Rafute Soba.
Kamurocho:
  • Bantam: The Macallan 30 Years.
  • Café Alps: Original Beef Curry Set.
  • Earth Angel: Yamazaki 12 Years, and Hibiki 17 Years.
  • Gelateria Kamuro: Quadruple Scoop.
  • Kanrai: Special Limited Sirloin.
  • Kyushu No. 1 Star: Limited Ramen with the works.
  • Matsuya: Tuna Yamakake (L).
  • Pronto (Café - Daytime): Rich Egg Carbonara.
  • Pronto (Bar - Nighttime): Jamon Iberico (Ham)
  • Shellac: The Macallan 1946.
  • Smile Burger Kamurocho: Giga Smile Burger Set.
  • Sushi Gin: Awabi and Uni
Legendary Champion
Claim Victory in all Coliseum tournaments.

You have to beat all of the tournaments 3 times in order to unlock the next ones which is a real pain. If you can learn the komaki parry and or tiger drop before tackling these it makes it significantly easier and you will need to have mastered them for ultimate matches. For the tag team matches I just used the partner you get when you unlock tag team matches and then walk out of the coliseum entrance and he is standing right there. The final tournament is unlocked by doing the 2 tournaments before it 5 times instead of 3. Comment if you want help on a particular enemy.
Master Environmentalist
Pick up 30 pieces of trash from the beach in front of Morning Glory.

Every time the beach is loaded something spawns on it, there are 3 types of junk and 2 boxes. I am not sure but I believe if you take the item from the boxes it counts towards the achievement. The easiest way to do this is to just keep reloading the beach by entering the fishing minigame right there and then hitting don't fish. There is only ever 1 object on the beach at a time and it always spawns, so find it, enter fishing, and repeat.
All the Other Stuff (Cont.)
Path of the Warrior
Encounter all the masters.

There are 5 masters and I believe talking to them is good enough you do not actually have to train but I recommend at least fighting Komaki's 3 pupils for the parry and tiger drop.
  • Kamiyama - You meet him as part of the story in chapter 3 and afterwards talk to him in his office on the 2nd floor just south of the Ryudo Family Office to learn about modding weapons and such.
  • Yonashiro - He appears early in chapter 4 and will always be waiting on the left of the beach on a big rock to teach you weapon skills.
  • Mack - He teaches you revelations starting in chapter 4 but much later in the game in Kamurocho you can train your chase skills with him over in West Park.
  • Minamida - In chapter 5 you can find him in the little square at the bottom of Champion District and he will introduce you to the IF7 which you need to complete fully in order to unlock the last substory, there are only 6 fights,
  • Komaki - In chapter 5 you can do a substory titled "Return to the Dragon Palace" which unlocks the dragon place casino and gambling hall. Once it is open, head down to Tenkaichi Street near Stardust and New Serena and one of Komaki's pupils will tell you he is teaching at the Dragon Palace, talk to him there and you are done.
People Watcher
Initiate 3 battles using first-person mode.

Hit R3 to enter first person mode and stare at one of the goons or thugs who would normally start a fight with you until they see you looking at them and run over to fight you, then beat them up. Do this 3 times. You can tell them apart because they take a few steps and stand still just looking around a lot.
Testament to Strength
Beat the game on Legend difficulty.

I suggest finishing everything else so your character is buffed to high heaven and then just talk to Nakahara at Morning Glory or Date at New Serena to use your premium adventure clear save file for your NG+ legend run. You might wanna make an extra save if you want to come back to premium adventure but I do not think it overwrites it anyways.
Tinkerer
Make a modded weapon.

If you have the money you can just buy all of Kamiyama's weapons blueprints and stuff and then just pick one that you have all the stuff for. I bought a blackjack from him and used to super resilient resin to make it a ballbuster, it's that easy.
Volunteer
Pick up 5 pieces of trash from the beach in front of Morning Glory.

Look at Master Environmentalist for the strategy.
World's Greatest Dad
Earn all other achievements in the game.
Thank you!

I think the first thing you should mention in your guide is that it is absolutely necessary to set the game in HARD at the beginning.
As it is a condition to unlock Legendary mode.

Knowing this : I have to restart from the beginning.

Lmao, to each their own I suppose. I ended up loving pool, despite how hated it is.I wasn't in my right mind when I wrote that rant. Haven't raged like that in years (even in golf I was frustrated but didn't do an outburst). Going really slow and steady with Koi Koi though, so I'll eventually get that 10k tags. But man do I hate that game.

You struggle to get points in past rounds, only for, COINCIDENTALLY, ALWAYS the final round to completely screws you over. The AI gets 6 ribbons, 14 junk cards, 5 animals and of course, 3 lights and the sake, while you have like 3 junk cards, 2 ribbons and 1 animal. I printed more than 10 times this crap happening every single time in the final round. More than 8 hours attempting this crap and I only got like 3200 tags. 6800 remaining.

Geez, Koi Koi is such a stupid fucking game, only masochists enjoy this crap.

Yeah, I'm close to giving up the Minigame master. I got golf, bowling, pool and darts and none of them were that hard. I believe they all combined took me around 6 hours total.

I simply can't for the love of god a fucking victory in Koi Koi. What a fundamentally dumb game, my god. There's no skill or tactics. You just pray the AI doesn't cheat and screw you completely. Doesn't matter the difficulty, he always has the perfect combinations, your hand is complete crap, you NEVER draw a card that combines and he ALWAYS draw a card that perfectly combines.

My god, whoever designed the golf minigame should never work again in their lifetime.

BEFORE you go for a legend difficulty run, i highly recommend you do atleast some of Mack's training. The chases in legend difficulty are very difficult without it and if you lose you have to do the bossfight cutscenes and the whole mumbo jumbo all over again.
