Villager Special Cards - Quick Reference
By Elfaron
A simple reference for purchasable special cards from villagers, since the game doesn't remind you what they do when you buy them.

This guide contains minor spoilers about the villagers.

Villager Special Cards
For each villager (except the Lost Soul), after you complete their quest chains you'll be able to buy a special card for 75g from each of them on every run.

All villagers' special cards cost 0 energy.

The special cards are Neutral cards, which mean each can only be used once per combat.

Lost Soul Quest Cards
Quest cards can be bought from the Lost Soul after you permanently unlock them with 50 Wyrdstone.

You can buy one out of three randomised Quest cards (once per run), so you are not guaranteed to get the one you want.

Quest card will transform to another card once you fulfil its condition. You can check the "reward" card by hover your cursor over the quest card.

Blacksmith's card is actually really good for summoner class or classes that rely on minions. The huge boost of 75 armor for 3 turns really helps keep your minions alive and build up your damage during its effect. Know that armor can work with barrier at the same time, so spending 1 energy to play a "Barrier" spell that gives 10 barrier actually can midigate most damage due to armor beforehand, this saves energy for spending it on building damage for your minions.

Yea, most are very niche, except Master-at-Arms card which I use almost every time.

Is it just me or are these cards a little on the 'meh' side? I think the Master of Arms card is the only one that seems pretty worthwhile. The others seem a little debatable whether their utility is worth bloating your deck.

The quest cards behave differently, though. And you pick one out of three, which come from a larger pool. So, you can't guarantee to get the one you want.

But I guess my sentence can be interpreted that you can't buy any cards from him lol.

I'll update the guide to mention that you can buy them from the Lost Soul to make it more clear. Thanks for pointing it out.

If you mean the Quest Cards, actually they can be bought on the Lost Soul Shop...
