who exactly is the blight
so the blight is a normal movement killer which means he moves at 4.6 ms meaning that at full speed you are faster than the survivors during their running animation. this movement speed allows you to catch up to survivors without necessarily using his power unlike some of the slower killers such as huntress for example.

so i bet you're wondering why you should play the blight? i think i have the answer for you. do you like running really fast almost all the time? do you like injecting yourself with drugs? do you like the sound of hitting those pesky little survivors with a sharp cane? than this killer is the one for you.

if you happen to like Victorian era killers and music themes then i think this killer will be for you! now lets discuss his power
the blights power
so the Blights power is called : blighted corruption. blighted corruption starts with 5 tokens.
the blights special ability is called Rush: when your power is fully charged, use the active power button to initiate a rush making blight run at a very quick speed, consuming one token.
*please note that the blight can not attack while initiating a rush.
the blight can perform a special action called slam: slamming into obstacles or walls during a run will allow to consume another token activating whats called a lethal rush.

After performing a slam the blight can perform a lethal rush. during a lethal rush the blight can attack albeit in a very restricted area of movement similar to billy when he is using his chainsaw just not as restricted. Think more on the lines of oni using his power. Using your lethal rush on a pallet or a breakable wall will break it instantly.

so some fun facts/ trivia when it comes to blights power.
during blights rush blight actually moves at 230% or 9.2 ms a second or basically really fast
the active window to initiate another rush is about 1.25 seconds without add-ons.
During a rush the maximum turn rate is about 180 degrees.
the regular fatigue without using lethal rush takes about 2.5 seconds without add-ons
The fatigue after using a lethal rush last for 3 seconds.
the blights 3 perks
the blight has three perks in his kit: Hex: undying, Dragons grip, and hex: Blood favor.
The Blights first teachable is Dragons grip: After kicking a Generator , for the next 30 seconds, the first Survivor interacting with it will scream, revealing their location for 4 seconds, and suffers from the Exposed Status Effect for 60 seconds.
Dragon's Grip has a cool-down of 120/100/80 seconds.

what are the main uses for dragons grip? well ironically enough Blights own power does not actually trigger the effect of Dragons grip because it is considered a rush instead of a regular m1 attack. killers who can teleport like nurse for example or killers who can close distance quickly like wraith can profit off the value of Dragons Grip. now what are the problems with this perk? simple: the cooldown is way too long even at the final tier. Once survivors know you have this perk they will be more aware of it and may touch a gen on purpose and make distance to last longer than the time required to reach them for the down. There are better perks that serve the same purpose like make your choice that you will tend to get more value out off and in my own opinion Dragons grip isn't worth a perk slot.

The blights next perk is Hex: Blood favor: A Hex that gains the favour of The Entity when blood is spilt.
Hitting a Survivor with your Basic Attack prompts The Entity to hold all Pallets within a radius of 16 metres from your location in place for the next 15 seconds, preventing Survivors from pulling them down.
Hex: Blood Favour has a cool-down of 60/50/40 seconds.
The Hex effects persist as long as the related Hex Totem is standing.
i dont know where to even start.. this perk is mostly trash with such a niche use its almost useless. if pallets are already thrown, this does not work, if you already broke the pallet, this perk does nothing, if the area is mainly windows, this perk does nothing, it is absolutely useless.
now what value can you get out of this perk, if any? if you happen to down someone on a pallet and blood favor is activated, then congrats you wont get pallet stunned. thats about it. dont use this perk unless you want to cripple yourself.
what makes this perk even worse is the fact that is a hex perk. if it was a regular perk, maybe you can get more value, but the fact that it can get cleansed so quickly makes it way too risky of a hex perk to take up a slot.

The Blights final perk is Hex: undying: A Hex which maintains the vile powers that flow throughout the Trial.
The Auras of Survivors within 2/3/4 meters of any Dull Totem are revealed to you.
When another Perk's Hex Totem is cleansed, its Hex is transferred to the Hex: Undying Totem, including any accumulated Tokens, disabling Hex: Undying instead.
The Hex effects persist as long as the related Hex Totem is standing.
This is Blights best teachable and even post nerf, still one of the most useful totem based perks in the game. So what exactly does this perk do?
If you have any two hex perks, Hex: Undying will ALWAYS break first no matter what, even if you have 4 hex totems. One of the best parts about the new version of undying is that for totems that stack, it will keep your stacks, allowing you to pull of some dirty devour hope plays or whatever else you like.
so what are the downsides of this perk? well just like any hex perk it can still be cleansed quickly and if youre unlucky it can spawn in a very easy to see spot, making it virtually useless and there is no reason to run it by itself so it will always take up a spot next to your other totem perks.
How to actually play Blight
Ok so you learned a little about the Blight, how his power works and about his three perks and what they do, but how do you play him?

Blight works best in open area maps so anything with open fields or empty areas works best. Autohaven maps, dead dawg saloon, or the red forest maps are some examples of maps you might want.
Most of the inside maps arent so great for blight because use of your power will often see you bumping into a lot of walls without wanting to and a generally these maps provide a lot of verticality that Blight does not thrive off of. some examples of these maps are: the R.P.D station and
Hawkins.

When possible in chase it always best to try and use your power, you move very quickly and can catch up to a survivor before they get to a good looping location. Blights power can work well at killer shack and tnl walls but can fall short on some of the longer loops because of his narrow turn radius and lack of vision of the survivor. Since blight can break pallets instantly, its very low risk to force pallets from the survivor and you will quickly find yourself getting rid of them with ease. Not only is Blights rush great for ending chases quickly it is also very good for mobility. With all 5 tokens being used at maximum range you can easily reach just about any generator on the map or find those pesky survivors in the early game.

some perk combos you can run with blight that i personally use or would be fun are:
1.gen focus: pop the weasel, oppression, bbq and corrupt
2.if you want to take away the survivors fun: undying, devour hope, bbq, pop
3.if you want to be annoying: undying, ruin, thrill of the hunt, haunted grounds
4: denial blight: hex: blood favor, Hex: crowd control, lightborn, and franklins.
5. you have been detected: lethal pursuer, bbq, bitter murmur and im all ears.

i hope you enjoyed this quick little guide and feel free to let me know if i helped you in anyway and i hope you enjoy the crachead- i mean the Blight, and have fun in the fog!

Also from personal experience: It is often faster/more efficient to end a sequence of rushes with an attack, rather than waiting out slam timer.

Just tacking on my own preferred perks: Ruin/Undying/Tinkerer and either BBQ or Lethal Pursuer. I find that the last slot (bbq/pursuer) is easily flexed for something like lightborn if you see many flashlights. Great guide!
