How to add games from Epic to Steam

Everybody knows it, Epic Games Launcher just sucks. There is no competition whatsoever. Nevertheless Epic still keeps delivering great Free AAA Games such as GTA V, Among Us, Metro 2033, Kingdom Come Deliverance and many more.
It doesn't mean we can't add those into our stacked Steam Library.

Add a Non-Steam Game

This the easy straightforward method most people think of right away. Just simply:

• Click the "Add Non-Steam Game" button
  
• And navigate to the destination folder where the .EXE file is located.

However, if you do this with multiplayer games requiring Epic Online Services e.g. Rocket League, it'll turn up the game in offline mode. But there's 2nd way.Also, it most likely won't work with games from other launchers such as Rockstar or Uplay.

Adding a Multiplayer Game (Rocket League)

Alright, let's do it with Rocket League since you can't get it on Steam anymore*.

1. Step

• The first thing you want to is to create a Shortcut to the game in the Epic Launcher.

• Once you make it, head over to Desktop Right Click it ➔ Select "Properties" ➔ and copy the "URL" address.

2. Step

• Do the process of Adding a Non-Steam Game, select the .exe file like mentioned above.

3. Step

• Right click the game in Steam Library and swap the Epic "URL" with the .exe directory in "TARGET". Don't delete the quotation marks.

And violà!

Now you can play Rocket League or any other game from Steam with in-game overlay. Obviously, the Epic Launcher has to run in the background but you needn't open it.

Final touches – Adding banners, grids...

Since you probably don't want the game to look so ugly without any pictures all you need to do is visit

Steam Grid Database[www.steamgriddb.com] where you can look for banners, logos and grids of any game. Just search the game you want and download the files it and upload them to the steam library.



I recommend getting the Original Assets if they're avaible.

Holy sht it worked
Bcuz of this, I will share another that worked for me
Add the URL to the LAUNCH OPTIONS instead of replacing what's in TARGET
Try that for games that dont work with this

Have you tried selecting the main .exe file? Just to let you know, this is plain DIY solution. It might not work with all games.

I have Conan through epic and my gaming groups runs the server through steam. I have connected my steam but I can not figure out how to get Conan to show up in steam. In steam I tried to add a none steam game but it does not show up and when I select the shortcut on the deskstop and click play it fails

Does the game have to be installed to begin with and then remained installed to keep the game added to Steam?

yee but unfortunetly you cant use addons or the steam version of the game your are playing(some games are different on steam than on epic)but for things its a great way to add game from different launchers
