B-Dasher

⨴ This kart is tuned to be fast, but not particularly agile.

The B-Dasher is a kart first featured in Mario Kart DS, and it returned for Mario Kart 7, 8, and Tour.

It appears on the box art of Mario Kart DS, and it resembles a classic 1960s Formula 1 car. It is the first vehicle in the series to have a racing car design, a feature that has become a staple in subsequent games. Its name is most likely a reference to the controls of the side-scrolling platform games, in which the player presses and holds the B button to dash.[www.mariowiki.com]

A 'successor', the B-Dasher Mk. 2, appeared in Mario Kart Wii.


Built for AMC #23: Go-Karts. It placed second, as usual.
Was later remodeled for Shadé's latest round of Mario Kart tracks.

There aren't enough cars with rocket wheels, so I decided to make one.
It's definitely needed, given this thing's lack of suspension - normal wheels are nasty stuff.

In Mario Kart DS, this was my favourite kart.
In Mario Kart 7, I liked it even more - not only did it look cool, it was the fastest kart frame in the game. This made it ideal for time trials. Most of the time.

While the B-Dasher is Mario's kart (in MKDS), Yoshi was chosen as the pilot because Brammer already built a kart with Mario as the pilot.
