Text Walkthrough

We got a video guide but its always nice to have a text one too
This is a simple and fast, as I can make it but as usual make sure you check on everything. I won't be doing everything in order to make sense

Henry Cadway Station

Go inside the train
Pick up Iron Bar, Can, Cable all on floor

Go back out to the left side of train
By the stairs is a suitcase - use cable - use iron bar
Open suitcase - Box Cutter, Screwdriver, Tape

Go back in the train and out the right side
Pick up Keyboard and Toy Phone from the below box
Use box cutter on toy phone
Behind the broken phone is an area with a Figure
Use screwdriver on figurine
Use batteries on keyboard

Go to the top of stairs
Use box cutter on can
Use the new can strip on padlock

You can probably choose any option but I suggest the truth
Tell Truth twice

Bishop to E7
Pawn to G3

Talk to Boris
Give toy phone to him

Go to right of train
Use the token on vending machine
Use phone on the broken phone box - use keyboard

Cooper Cadway Station

Click on car for Matches and Key
Use the key for Baseball Bat and Gasoline
Get Rag from bin
Get Wire next to it
You can try to enter the station before combining for the reason why
Combine rag with bat - use gas - use matches

Where the suitcase was pick up Cable
Pick up the Iron Bar - use on train door

Get Bullets and Phone from mannequin
Head right

By the stairs pick up the Basketball Hoop
Move the rubble out of the doors way
Use the iron bar on the padlock then enter

Combine the hoop and cable, use it on the pipe above
Pick up Gun in front of us
Next to you is a door - use it on rope to leave

Go up the stairs
Use bullets on gun
Use the gun on man at alter

Hotel Dore, Paris

Just go through the choices until you reach Paris

Pick up Pen, Notebook, Letter Opener on the desk
Go out to the balcony

On the table pick up Welcome Card
Use letter opener on horse head
There's a button on the wall, turn it on
Go back inside

Open the white circle picture
Use letter opener on the back of it

Back outside
Use the cut card on the Eiffel Tower

Now back inside, enter the bathroom
Pick up Rosemary Oil, Hand Cream, Soap and Towel
Use letter opener on vent above - use towel
Use the tap

We need to use the phone, you can call up the others if you want but we need the front desk
Open envelope - The Evergreen 1853, Swim Goggles
Call up Henry White and ask about the evergreen

Use goggles on Jacuzzi - use letter opener
Click on plastic - Key

Use key on safe

Antique Store, Paris

Choose what you want with the girl
On your left is a table with 2 lamps, you need to pick up the Jeweler's Loupe
Near it is a table with a statue and Scissors
You might wanna look at a tapestry on the top right, it will be in a puzzle later
Use the key to enter the backroom

Above the desk pick up Ultraviolet Light and Alchemy Elements
Next to the big cross pick up Hexagonal Bar
Pick up Alchemy box near the stairs
Finally pick up Cross on wall and Oil lamp under the duck
Use the box on the big cross - use alchemy table
That tapestry earlier explained where pieces needed to go
Salt on top. Fire on bottom. Mercury on right and Sulfur on left
Use small cross to finish the puzzle
Use scissors on diary
Combine rubber band with wooden bar - use light

Where you picked up the light, is the Bunch of Keys you need to pick up
Use the keys on door above - use oil lamp
Pick up Katana the samurai is holding

Snowy Mountain

Talk to the master about the katana
Pick up Katana and use on window next to master
Talk to master and play a game
Choose whatever you want, look at his shadow to get it right
You can keep playing but you only need Small Vices - Screws
You can now leave

Use razor on the door you just exited
Use the middle exit
Click on sled for Rope
Pick up Planks on bottom of screen
Combine door hinges and plank

Go back inside and through the right exit
Pick up a Bag and Corn
Use plank on log - use bag - use rope
Use the log

Happy Dale

You cant do much so just jump to the roof and chat with Boris
Start by going right and using tokens on gate.
Its a little hard to see but slightly to the left and in front of you pick up Wooden Beam
Open up the train cart
Pick up Tape and Camera from left box

Go back a screen , pick up Tires near the left lamp posts
Now go left

Pick up Saw Blade next to us
Use the blade on wooden beam - use clamp
Use that saw beam on the tower logo
Pick up the Tarp and Surveyor's Level
Use the camera on tripod - use it
Use the ladder to go up

We're back where we were at the start.
Pick up Paint
Combine tires and camera - use canvas - use tape - use paint
Throw the bag onto roof
Jump onto the roof again

Click on the nearest bin to pick up Cable
Near the stairs is a box - use canvas - pick up Axe
Go to the lit up area

Use axe on locker
There's an arrow next to the locker
Click on button that says oven
Use cable on video out hole - use camera
Press the red button until you find Boris on cam 6
Use the plan on the switches, press F
Use the canvas on oven

St. Fergus Church, Scotland

Touch both parts of the cross here
Now leave this area
On the left is a brush you can pick up
Slightly above and to the right is a piece of ruin to interact with

Somewhere are batteries, there are 5 areas.
The middle mountain - on the top grey path
The left mountain - at the top
The right mountain - On the tip highest ledge
The dark blocks on the bottom - either corner

On the right side of the screen you should see a car go there
Pick up Cooking Pot, Shovel, Alcohol, Salt, Mercury, Vinegar and Sulfur
Go back out and use the pot on water
Go back again and use pot on stove - use lighter - use vinegar - use brush
Talk to Pauline

Go to the area at the start.
Use Shovel under cross - use brush
Use your knife on the right hole then Mercury
Use Alcohol on bottom hole then lighter
Use Sulfur on left hole
Use Salt on top hole

Snow Mountain

Choose whatever you want when being questioned
You will end up back in the past

If you haven't yet pick up Cup and Katana
Use cup on Honey and pick up Butter, in front of master
You can leave the room now

If you didn't yet pick up Corn where the bags were
You will see holes near where the bird is.
Add the honey and corn
Collect more corn and repeat

Go through the middle door.
Use the butter on the background crank and use it
Use the katana to pick up Bucket
Use bucket on dragon head under the bridge
Go back and use bucket on burner
Then go back out again
Use the katana on dead bush - use seeds - use water

We are now at the ending
To begin you just need to choose all options with everyone
There are 4 endings with our MC having 2 - if you got the batteries. You can load up the last autosave to get the others

The main ending is using the knife. It's right next to you
The jokey easter egg ending is using a doll. Its a bit hard to see but its near the top left corner. Use the batteries on it of course

Well I took a bit long to get back to it and I found the problem. I forgot to interact with the ruin that is near the brush we have to pick up and yeah touching the cross was indeed needed.

So yeah all that is needed is to touch the cross, inspect the ruin and batteries will spawn!

I got it my 1st time ever playing it but when repeating it for the guide I just could not work out what was happening. It seems like most people didn't know how to get it as at least the threads I was looking at always avoided mentioning the touching of the cross and ruin so I had to assume I was just skipping over the batteries and that others would have better luck

I've spent pixel hunting a good 10 minutes in all zones - nothing. So I've decided to have fun with Pauline and then maybe try again a couple of times and voila - I haven't even pixel hunted that much and got a cursor changing into a magnifying lens on the left mountain.
I haven't got a save to check this out thoroughly, but I suspect batteries spawn after the whole Pauline&car section of walkthrough.

Oh really. I've got them to summon once but I assumed I was just struggling as it took me ages to get them even once. Maybe its just what you said, I'll have to check that out

Just a small addition about batteries: they spawn only after you examined the cross and other stuff at 1st screen, then have gone to Pauline's place, took things described in a guide and exhausted Pauline's dialogue options. Then when you return to "overlooking" map in hopes of drawing water into your pot, batteries spawn in one of the 5 places.
