Introduction

Dragon Priests are powerful undead enemies found in the game. Thousands of years ago, these priests ruled over Skyrim at the behest of their Dragon overlords. In their service, many of these dragon priests were granted extraordinary powers and knowledge in arcana, and some of them managed to reach lichdom to evade their own demise.
A Dragon Priest Mask is obtained after defeating each of these eight unique enemies that appear in fixed locations throughout Skyrim. Each mask is unique in color and varies in material. Masks are named after their respective masters and have unique effects; they are defined as either light or heavy armor.
Hevnoraak (Brutality)

  • Effects: Immunity to diseases and poisons.
  • Location: As you travel to the south-west part of Skyrim, visit Valthume, where Hevnoraak is buried. Upon entering Valthume, a spirit named Valdar will be encountered, granting you the side quest Evil In Waiting, complete all the objectives and in the last step you will fight against Hevnoraak.

Krosis (Sorrow)

  • Effects: 20% bonus to Lockpicking, Archery, and Alchemy.
  • Location: Krosis is typically encountered at Shearpoint in the company of a leveled dragon. He emerges from his sarcophagus, which is located directly in front of the word wall, once approached.
Morokei (Glory)

  • Effects: Magicka regenerates 100% faster.
  • Location: The dragon priest can be found in the end of the College of Winterhold's quest named The Staff of Magnus inside the nordic ruin of Labyrinthian.
Nahkriin (Vengeance)

  • Effects: +50 Magicka, and Destruction and Restoration spells cost 20% less.
  • Location: As you’re completing The World-Eater’s Eyrie (Main Story Quest), you will reach a location known as Skuldafn. Nahkriin is a requeriment to proceed so he must be defeated in order to obtain the Dragon Priest Staff which is used to open a portal to Sovngarde. Defeat him and take the mask, because Skuldafn can be reached only during this one mission and returning there afterwards is impossible.
Otar (Madness)

  • Effects: Resistance against fire, frost, and shock is improved by 30%
  • Location: Otar can be encountered within the nordic ruin of Ragnvald (north-east of Markarth). He is sealed in a large, locked sarcophagus in the main chamber of the ruin. Opening the sarcophagus is only possible by defeating the guardians, Torsten and Saerek, who each hold a Skull Key. Both skull keys are required to open the lock.
Rahgot (Anger)

  • Effects: Increases your stamina by 70 points.
  • Location: As you reach the catacombs of Forelhost at the top of the mountain rising above Riften, you will be stopped by a man named Captain Valmir and given the Siege On The Dragon Cult side quest. Rahgot is sealed inside the ruin and when encountered he will be accompanied by a number of leveled draugr.
Vokun (Darkness)

  • Effects: Conjuration, Illusion and Alteration spells cost 20% less magicka to cast.
  • Location: Between Solitude and Dawnstar there’s a dungeon known as the High Gate Ruins, in this local you will find a woman name Anska and receive a quest, during this side quest named A Scroll For Anska you will eventually fight the next Dragon Priest who lurks there.
Volsung (Horror)

  • Effects: Prices are 20% better, Carry 20 points more, and can breathe underwater.
  • Location: Volsung can be found in the summit of the nordic ruin of Volskygge, far to the west of Solitude.
Why?
Does collecting all the masks give you anything?
Of course! Apart from them you can also receive a special "supermask”, if you bring all of them to Labyrinthian.
The sanctuary can be found within the central barrow in Labyrinthian. There lies a Wooden Mask that sends its wearer back to a time before the destruction of Bromjunaar Sanctuary. The central focus of the sanctuary is the dragon priest shrine.
Once the eight masks are placed in each respective slot on the shrine, the final mask Konahrik is revealed. The other masks may be taken from the shrine once Konahrik is obtained.

Konahrik (Warlord), The Last Mask

Konahrik bears a unique enchantment called Konahrik's Privilege. This
translates into the following possibilities:
  • Spectral Ally
Whenever the wearer is struck while below 15% health, there is a 3% chance that the mask summons a Spectral Dragon Priest ally after healing the wearer. The Dragon Priest may use Ice Spike and Reanimate Corpse. In the event of no corpses nearby, the Dragon Priest will summon a Storm Atronach.
  • Healing
Whenever the wearer is struck while below 15% health, there is a 15% chance that the mask will heal the wearer and any nearby allies with the Grand Healing spell, and grant a Flame Cloak for 10 seconds. The healing benefit will raise the Restoration skill, and the flame cloak will aid the Destruction skill. A similar healing effect can be achieved with the perk Avoid Death, which activates when health reaches a critical low with no random variables. However, Avoid Death is limited to one activation per day, whereas the mask's effect is constant. When combined with high health and damage resistance, the mask's constant effect can make you near-immortal as the amount of hits you can take below 15% health increases to the point where it is almost guaranteed to heal you before you die.
