Gorse Hospitality Guide

Hello! You ever think humans are annoying, high maintenance, and just downright dumb? Well, Gorses are better pets! They are cute, friendly(ish), and the best! This guide will tell you how to properly take care of Gorses!

BASICS

Gorses aren't actually as bad as you think. Despite their description; "A relativity small, awful creature. Gorses are intelligent and malicious. They also tend to smell of burnt glue." OK, well that last part was true. But Gorses are friendly! Here's what you need to know about them:
  • Intelligent, meaning they can escape their enclosures without proper security.
  • Eats humans. You probably shouldn't get too close...
  • Once they're asleep, they're OUT. Not dead, but hard to wake up. Pick it up, move its limbs, and it wont wake. Dont put your hand in it's mouth though, it naturally has reflexes to bite. This is for night eating.
  • Gorses night eat, meaning that if there is something small and edible in it's reach, it will spit out a goo-like substance and pull it in.

ENCLOSURE

Gorses need proper living spaces to stay healthy. If they are in a place they dont like or recognize, they will get stressed. If Gorses are stressed, they will stop eating, bathing, and sleeping, which really effects their physical and mental health. To prevent this from happening, Gorses need the right things in their enclosure. Gorses naturally live in caves, so a cave-like environment is good for them.
You will also need a small acid pool so it can bathe.
Temperatures should be from 12-15 degrees CELSIUS. Anything above or below that could stress out the Gorse .
Green lights remind the Gorse of the glowing acid. Gorses somehow perform a form of photosynthesis, soaking in the green light and somehow converting it into energy.
Remember to decorate it with something dark for the Gorse to crawl on, like an anchor.

FEEDING

A Gorse's diet mainly consists of human. It will disintegrate the human's flesh by spitting a safe amount of blood at it, then eat the skeleton. Usually, it will eat the skull first. If the skull in unavailable, it will eat whatever's closest to it first. You must have a human ready at all times just in case it gets hungry. It may also eat rats or mice whole if there's no human, but only feeding it mice is inhumane, and the Gorse will get malnutrition and little energy. Feed the Gorse only once a day, or it will get fat. For drinking, a Gorse will not drink fresh water. You must mix fresh water with acid for it to be drinkable to the Gorse .

SLEEPING HABITS

Healthy Gorses will sleep 2 times a day, for 4-6 hours each. It is important to have a skeleton next to it while it sleeps. This is for when it night eats, which is necessary for the Gorse . You'll know when it needs to night eat when a goop starts coming from the mid throat out of the mouth. Gorses hang from the ceiling while sleeping. This allows the blood to rush to the brain and allows it to process whats around it. Doesn't really make sense, but Gorses are much more different from humans.

CLEANING

Cleaning a Gorse enclosure can be difficult. So, you will need to be very careful about it. Remember how I said Gorses sleep like the dead? When it's sleeping, remove it from it's enclosure and put it in a temporary chamber just in case it wakes up. While doing this, use hands and full face protection. Have someone go into the enclosure and clean it from harmful items Hand protection required, face protection not. Harmful items may include:
1. Plates
2. Soap
3. Broken glass
4. Fungi
5. Corrosion
Once clean, transport the Gorse back to it's original enclosure.

I hope this guide helped and informed you on how to properly take care of a Gorse! If you are feeling confident, you can even take this short quiz! Post your answers in the comments, and I may give you the answers!

also watch out for bottles! regular bottles contain "Beverage M04" which is incredibly lethal to gorses. and you can make a gorse docile if you break its head, it wont kill it but it wont be able to attack.

If your gorse has a cub (the babies are called cubs btw) with another gorse and you raise it in its own enclosure away from its parents it may not spit poison anymore! (and the cubs cant spit poison because their still developing!!)
