Can confirm, to get the Fortune-teller achievement you just have to open the notebook (N) after picking up any note then press the "Next Hint" button on the bottom left. You may also be able to close and reopen the notebook for more hints. I earned the achievement before entering the room on the 2nd floor.

I left a comment on Youtube for the Nostalgic achievement with timestamps. I still didn't earn the achievement even after following the google doc below and using the video. No clue what I'm missing. I also don't really understand the Fortune-teller achievement. In my game there was a "hint" button where your video showed "Next Paragraph". Maybe you have to press this 5x in a single game?

Two playthroughs and I'm still missing both Nostolgic and Fortune-teller. A video isn't particularly helpful if I have to watch 2 hours to get the information I need, although it did help solve a couple puzzles. There really should be a screenshot guide for them.
