Ash build: How to deal millions of damage.

My take on Ash and how to wipe any enemy the game can throw at you.

The frame


The build revolves around Ash's bladestorm. So you want a high ability strength to deal a lot of damage. Range matters little but you can add some to ease the targeting with the ultimate.

The main point of the build is the use of rising storm that'll allow you to quickly build combo multiplier. And as combo multiplier affects the bladestorm damage, the more you use bladestorm, the more you'll deal damage with it.

I added a lot of duration so the smoke bomb lasts 18 sec. It greatly improves survivability at higher level (arbitration or steel path).
The weapon


As i said before, Bladestorm's damage are affected by your combo multiplier. This is why i use the venka prime as they can have a combo multiplier of 13.

You want to add a lot of combo duration on your weapon to keep your damage up. For that, use drifting contact, body count and gladiator rush (And rising storm on your warframe that will add 10 sec)

Having damage mods on your melee weapon will matter little as you'll build your combo multiplier using your ultimate.
The extras
Now if you followed what i use in the previous sections, you should be close to 30k of "true damage" per mark you put on an enemy.

As for the damage, the enemy will take around 40% these 30k in DoT due to the slach proc and the proc will last 9 seconds.

That gives us a potential of 90.000* + 324.000**

* 3 marks that deal 30k each.
** (0.40*30000)x 3 marks x9 DoT ticks

Which is not bad and enough to wipe anything from the star chart to steel path misisons.

But we want to deal millions.

So now are the extras you can add to deal even more damage.

1/ First of all, have the madurai focus (+25% damage)




2/ Arcane fury (which i don't currently use)

As you'll build combo multiplier very fast, just put blood rush and every hit will be a critical which will give you 60% chance to gain 180% more damage on your bladestorm.



3/ Arcane blade charger



This one requires killing someone with your primary and will also increase, if triggered, your bladestorm damage.

That's the one i use along with the rakta cernos. It has high damage potential and when it triggers its syndicate effect, it deals a viral proc to any enemy around, giving your 100% more damage on them. But any high damage with decent status weapons (modded in viral) will do the same.

4/ Last but not least, Savage silent.



It requires the use of the helminth system and that you have subsumed banshee to put her silence Ability on Ash. With the augment mod Savage silence, you'll deal another 300% more damage with bladestorm as it counts as finisher damage.

I do not have the screens, but using savage silence, Arcane blade charger, the shown builds for Ash and the venka, i was able to deal over 3 millions damage in arbitration (with a single hit, so count 3 marks + the DoT, i'll let you do the math and you'll have the potential damage).

As for the two arcanes shown here, i'd recommend to use only one, either fury or blade charger so you can have energize. If you do not have it and rely on another way to have energy, feel free to use both.

Depending on how much downtime you get, it may be worth using a Xoris instead of Venka. Less total damage, but never have to worry about combo duration falling off.

@mrbojinkles To each his own i guess.

The idea of this build is how to deal a lot of damage with Ash. You can change it the way you like. I just posted it to show that, indeed, Ash is still a viable damage dealer.

The version i'm currently using does not include any of the arcanes shown with the screens, i go energize + trickery. I also removed Power drift for Preparation because it deals enough damage as it is for what i do (It was enough to kill Steel path lvl 2100 grineers).

Wouldn't it be better to use a umbral forma to replace transient fortitude with umbral intensify? Mild power loss for longer smoke&silence.

You benefit from savage silence damage for the whole duration of the ability, as long as the enemies stay in range.
For radial blind, it may be better for CC but as you progress in your mission, you will have to recast the ability more often than silence. That's why i chose the latter.

you use the same as me. Its unstoppable. arcane trickery is great with this as well. Savage silence, radiant finish both scale with power strength, 800% not 300 finisher dmg. Radiant finish will give you a window to do huge damage finishers (using stealth kill button) for a longer period than Savage silence, - which only has a 2 second window when they have their hands on their head. For some reason doing manual finishers while silence is active, or radial blind, you do much more damage than whilst using in combination with blade storm finishers. about 30k per tick with the best melees, but the finishers will easily do 1mil+. You can hit 100million+ finishers on the yellow guardsmen, for some reason are more vulnerable to finisher dmg. GOOD POST
