How to get past the main menu (for those who can't click on the play button due to a glitch)

If you can not click the play button to get past the menu, here's what i did to fix it:

Step 1: Right click your computer's toolbar (the bar at the bottom of the homescreen that has the clock and microsoft store on it.

Step 2: click "Taskbar settings" (which should be located at the bottom of the box that pops up when you right click the the taskbar).

Step 3: after you are bought to the settings, find the "automatically hide the taskbar in desktop mode" and toggle it on.

Step 4: close out of settings and open up Steam and launch "My Singing Monsters".

Step 5: When the play button appears, click underneath the play button (not the actual button itself but the empty space beneath it).

Step 6: When you can, click escape on your keyboard (Esc button) and open up the settings of the game.

Step 7: Click the fullscreen option in the settings (click below the actual button for it to register).

Step 8: the button hit detection has been fixed and you can just click the buttons normally again and play the game!

@leandradakshaw right click the game, click properties, and then click the local files tab on the left and then click verify the integrity of game files and then you wait and if a game file fails to validate, it will redownload a new file to replace it hopefully fixing your problem but it's not a 100 percent chance

@Gree I'll try that. When I open the game, the logo that would normally fill up doesn't. (P.S.: how do I validate the files)

@leandradakshaw hmm did you try validating the files or leaving the app and coming back in? when i tried playing this game at first, i just couldn't click play and i saw other people say the same thing so when i fixed it i decided to say what i did to get past the home screen and it work just fine fore me, i haven't heard of your glitch yet so i'll try and use common troubleshooting methods to see if i can help you

It doesnt seem to work for me.The only difference I saw was that a tip appeared for a split second

I can't get past the first page that pops up that says to breed and feed your monsters and that you can put your volume up. Also I can't put it to full screen too. Thx for the guide:)
