How to Use Bound in Blood Dev Cheats

To access the dev cheat menu, you will need to add a new file to the game's 'Data' folder

• First - always a good idea to make a backup of your game saves - this should be at
  C:\Users\ [Your user name here] \Documents\Call of Juarez - Bound in Blood\Out\save
  
• Next, go to the game's DATA folder
  
• From Steam, go to browse local files > CoJ2 > Data
  This is usually located at:
  C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Call of Juarez - Bound in Blood\CoJ2\Data
  
  
• Create a new text document in Windows Notepad and enter the following code:
  
  !include("DebugConf.def")
  NoLogos()
  Cheats()
  UseDeveloperKeys()
  LoadCheatMenuParamsOnLevelStart()
  
  
• Make sure you are able to edit file extensions!
  
• Rename the file to debugconf.scr (NOT debugconf.scr.txt)
  
• Start the game as normal
  
• After starting a level, hit ESC
  
• On the pause screen, you should see the new options "AI Debug Menu" and "Dev Menu"
  
  
  
  
• Click on "Dev Menu"
  
  
  
  
• Have fun!

Some final notes

I have not tested all the cheats (or any of the AI options) so use caution with the more unusual ones (you did make a backup, didn't you?)
Here's a few I have tried

• God Mode - God mode. You don't die
  
• Cheat Mode - Unknown
  
• Magic Ammo - Never run out of ammo, don't need to reload
  
• ChromeSpy - Unknown
  
• Collision Spy - Crashes my game. AVOID.
  
• Kill Enemies - Kills the people shooting at you
  
• Kill Active Enemies - Seems the same as 'Kill Enemies'

Cheat settings seem to stay active even after quitting and restarting the game
Sometimes after loading a new area or save, the cheat will turn off, but will still show as on - if this happens, turn the cheat off and on again

Yes, the debugconf.scr needs to be in the data folder

thank you for responding so I just want to make something clear because when i was reading one of the articles it said to remove the three letter after the Period so i just want to let you know

1 The file name should debugconf.scr
(not debugconf.txt, debugconf.scr.txt, or debugconf. )
2 You do not need to start a new game in order to access the dev menu

okay I read and did everything the article said I even followed the instructions and I changed the name from debugconf.scr to debugconf. and the icon changed but I really hope you respond just to make sure I did everything correctly
