Strangereal Map

Descripción
<<This is what V2 was for.>>

This map recreates Strangereal; the alternate reality version of Earth featured in the Ace Combat video game series. It features 8 factions based on the Ace Combat lore, along with accurately placed cities and geographic areas that are as true to the official canon as possible. I've had to make up a few new cities and take some slight liberties with the faction boundaries for the sake of balance and making the map actually work, but with the information available and the constraints of having a map that's balanced and enjoyable to play, I think this is about as close to an actual Strangereal as you can get.

Whether you're a huge Ace Combat fan or you've never heard of it and you're just looking for a change of pace after blowing up Earth for the millionth time, Strangereal offers a new, interesting and well-balanced experience. Enjoy!

Ace Combat and Strangereal are the intellectual property of Bandai Namco. This mod is effectively playable fan-art so please don't sue me.

If you like this map, Laffey-Chan has an alternate version you can try as well. You can find it here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2490252789

I know you're part of the ICBM2 dev team, but if you have team, would *love* to see this make its way to ICBM2!

*bonus* points, if you find time to bring some of the AC super weapons there too :3

I'd love to do it myself but... I'm hopeless when it comes to modelling...

My friend plays ace combat 7 so I am going to get this for whatever reason and play it with parabellum or omnicide.

Making a new map (especially from scratch, like this one) is a pretty complicated process... If you find me on the Official ICBM Discord, I can give you a run-down from there.

Nice work! How can I create a new map by myself?

I have an idea for you about this Dounttron:
NB This is merely a suggestion so if you cant be arsed Id understand ofc
Could you make a rearrangement of the factions and territories such that there would be just 4 factions max which each that own roughly equal vertical STRIPS of Land/sea territory rather than the provinces /states for factions as it is now ?
Alas the map I was going to name as an example is now unavailable
Another award for this is soon up there coz your work is appreciated I use this map most of the time

An Ace Combat mod that adds new units and technologies would force me to modify the tech tree and change the gameplay itself, which would warrant another separate mod entirely. If something like that ever happens, it won't be attached to this map. On that note though, the Dawn At Midnight mod has a few Ace Combat units in it as advanced technologies, like Stonehenge and Excalibur, plus a few fictional aircraft as high-level fighters. If you're interested in Ace Combat, I would recommend playing this map with Dawn At Midnight enabled as well.

But no, there aren't any plans to update this map right now.
