SafeCracker 2 (2006) launch on Windows 10

If you experience black screen or flickering problem, just follow these steps:
1. Download and install WineD3D files.
Go to downloads . fdossena . com/Projects/WineD3D/Builds/ (remove spaces between dots)
and grab the WineD3DForWindows_3.0-staging.zip
IMPORTANT: use 3.0 version, not the latest one.
2. Unpack the archive.
3. Copy three unpacked files d3d9.dll, libwine.dll, wined3d.dll to the <path-to-game>. (steamapps/common/safecracker 2)

Should work on both 32 & 64-bit versions of Windows 10.
P.S.: taken from pcgamingwiki, you should always search there first in case of such problems.

I'm a year late, as I just picked this game up on sale. But uhh, yea i can't launch it either. Either I get black screen and flickering, or when/if the Main Menu appears, only portions of it display, and constant flickering/mouse-disappearing/menu buttons disappearing.

Uhh any other fixes? Glad i picked it up on sale,

The game launches with this fix, but only in a small portion of the screen. Also, the second monitor changes its resolution to something ridiculously small. Tried applying the Magpie fix from another guide but then the game only launches unresponsive with a black screen.

These files did the trick though, much appreciated. Playing fullscreen without any issues now
