To actually enable it in-game, select "Workshop" in the main menu and then "Use Resource Packs". The list on the left is all the resource packs you have installed. The ones on the right are the ones enabled. So yeah, just enable whichever ones you want on the left. It'll only affect the version you enable them on.
Melee - Warrior
Mage - Apothecaries
Ranger - Griefer
Summoner - Redstonist
Misc - Builder
And as for the pillars:
Solar - Blade
Nebula - Elixir
Vortex - Blast
Stardust - Circuit
And to follow the idea of the pillar baddies being upgraded versions of monsters through out the game;
Solar - Nether Baddies
Nebula - End Beasts
Vortex - Crimson/Corruption Mobs
Stardust - Jungle Monsters
(Also i think that the color palate for the Corruption should be cyan to match the Warped forest to be more "Minecrafty", and go better with the fact the Crimson being one of the nether forests. [you don't need to change the corruption lore, just the name and color])
