Console Commands and Cheats

A collection of console commands and cheat codes that will be helpful.

Getting Started

Console commands are debugging tools that provide a wide range of functionality to the game. Players can use these commands in the game to toggle certain functions. Entering most commands a second time will toggle their effect back off. BE AWARE that using commands will disable the ability to gain steam achievements in that world.

How to use Console commands?

Press ENTER to open the chat window.



Type in one of the commands listed in this guide to activate it.
If the chat box is saying you don't have the required permissions you may need to first start with the /enablecheats command to give yourself admin privileges.

/enablecheats	This will give you permission to use most commands and disable your ability to earn steam achievements
/help	This will display a list of useful console commands in the chat log
/?	This will display a list of useful console commands in the chat log
/quickstart [Player Name]	Quickstart will place a Shovel, Scythe, Hoe, Watering Can and Lettuce Seed in your inventory or the inventory of the Player Name you entered
/qs [Player Name]	qs will place a Shovel, Scythe, Hoe, Watering Can and Lettuce Seed in your inventory or the inventory of the Player Name you entered

Quality of Life

An assortment of useful commands you may wish to use have been listed below.

/advanceTime [optional: amount]	Will skip 1 day unless you specific an amount such as /advanceTime 0.5 (half a day) or /advancetime 2 (two days).
/currentTime	Will display the current day and time in chat.
/checkMail	Will open your mailbox UI.
/fly	Toggles flight on/off.
/giveAllRecipes [Optional: Player Name]	You will learn all recipes in your recipe book or player name you entered.
/catchableDetails	Will give you the details of the bug you are currently looking at.
/changeMood [true/false]	Will alter the mood of the pet or farm animal you are looking at. True will have a positive change while false will have a negative change in mood.
/updateReputation [Villager Name] [amount]	This will update the friendship/reputation of the Villager Name you entered by the amount you entered.
/givePetals [optional: Player Name] [amount]	Will give you the amount of petals you entered.
/hasCheated	Will display in chat whether cheats have been activated in this world save.
/inspect	This will act as a magnifying glass and any new blocks inspected will be unlocked in the catalogue.
/plantGrowth	Will display the currenth growth stage of the plant you are looking at.
/plantWithering	Toggle on/off plant withering.
/creative	Toggle on/off creative mode
/seed	Will display the the world seed in chat.
/spawncoins [amount]	Similar to givePetals, this will spawn coins at your location.
/spawnStars [amount]	This will spawn the amount of starbits that you entered.
/stopTime	Toggle on/off freezing time.
/noclip [Optional: Player Name]	Toggle on/off noclip. This will turn off collision and allow you to walk through walls.
/togglefreezevillagerposition [Villager Name]	Toggle on/off freezing the movements of the Villager Name you entered.

Weather

The weather commands can be triggered one of two ways. You can use the /weather command or use the individual commands for each weather condition.

/weather [WeatherType]	Will change the current weather to the weather type you entered (sun, rain, snow, storm)
/sun	Will change the current weather to sunny
/rain	Will change the current weather to raining
/snow	Will change the current weather to snowing
/thunder	Will change the current weather to thunderstorms

Teleports

/teleport [Optional: Username] [X coordinate],[Y coordinate],[Z coordinate]	You are teleported to the entered coordinates. The Y coordinate is height. The /position command is helpful in determining game coordinates.
/teleportToVillager [Villager Name]	You are teleported to the villager name you entered. For example /teleportToVillager Aliza will teleport you to Aliza. Please note that names are case sensitive.
/tpVillagerHere [Villager Name]	The villager name you entered will be teleported to your location. For example /tpVillagerHere Aliza will teleport Aliza to you. Please note that names are case sensitive.
/magicTeleport [OffMap Code]	You are teleported to the offmap code you entered.
/magicTeleportReturn	You are teleported to the last bed you slept in.
/resetOffmap [OffMap Code]	This will reset the Offmap of the code you entered. This may be dangerous and effect particular quests so use at your discretion.
/returnHome	You are teleported to the last bed you slept in. This code can be dangerous to use if you are on an Offmap. always use /magicTeleportReturn if you are trying to return to the main island from an Offmap.

Multiplayer

Please note, most of these commands are untested as I haven't played multiplayer before

/players	Chat will list all online players.
/nickname [Nickname]	Your new nickname will be the Nickname you entered.
/getUsername [Username/Nickname]	This command is mostly related to the /nickname command. If someone has changed there nickname you can use this command to find out their real username.
/kick [Player Name]	You will kick the Player name you entered from the server.
/op [Player Name]	You will give the Player name you entered OP status.
/ban [Player Name]	You will ban the Player name you entered.
/unban [Player Name]	You will unban the Player name you entered.
/mute [Player Name]	You will mute the Player name you entered.
/unmute [Player Name]	You will unmute the Player name you entered.
/tp [Moving Player Name] [Optional: Destination Player Name]	You will teleport the Moving Player Name you entered to your location or the location of the Destination Player Name you entered.
/resetPlayer [Player Name]	You will teleport the Player name you entered to the default game spawn location (the starter farm) and reset their inventory.
/givepetals [optional: Username] [amount]	Will give you the amount of petals you entered.
/op [Player Name] [optional: demote]	You will promote the Player Name you entered to have server permissions. The Player Name will be demoted if you add demote at the end. /op [Player Name] demote
