Thief: Deadly Shadows Original Fan-Made Achievements

Just a bunch of fan-written achievements for fans of the original trilogy. I want to highlight that I tried to make them as authentic as possible, so consider them more like fan-fiction to try, rather than real challenges to do.

Just a small clarification how I ended up with this idea. Some time ago I decided to replay all Thief games and started with Thief 2014, which turned out to be a very weak reboot, but i still managed to do 100% achievement for Thief 2014. And then I thought, what would more or less interesting and authentic achievements look like for the original games. So, after I completed Deadly Shadows and thoroughly looked through the levels, I wrote this piece. Enjoy reading and tell me in the comments if you actually tried to do it. Also, below there are clarifying annotations on some of the achievements, that should help you.

Third-Party Mediator

Prophecies Await
You earned the right to enter Keeper's Library

One-Man Expedition
You retrieved both Compendium of Reproach and Glyph Key

You learned the truth about Caduca's death

True Keeper
You saved the world for the third time, proving that you are the True Keeper

Take blackmail money under sewer grate

Slick Taffer
You escaped Pavelock prison

Steal Orincross Dagger and put it into donation box

You solved Hammerite graveyard problem

Woodsie disciple
You activated all cornerstones

Builder's acolyte
You killed all rust mites

Dealing with consequences
You dealt with Lady Elizabeth and her thugs

Stay Silent
Finish St. Edgar's Eve without ringing the bell

Better not to mess with them
Don't alert, kill or knock out any curshok during The Sunken Citadel

Compassion
You left the inheritance in The House of the Widow Moira (6)

Keeping the alliance
Don't kill or knock out any hammerites in Killing Time while being allied with them

You didn't alert, knocked out or killed any Keeper Enforcer

Don't kill or knock out any Keepers in The Library and Of Brethren… And Betrayers

Master Thief
Steal all loot from the Wieldstorm Museum

Clarifications

General:

All spoiler-covered achievements are supposed to be secret until receiving.

By knock-out I mean all the ways of making guards unconscious including blackjack, gas arrows and slipping on oil.

By being detecting\alerting I mean activating 4 level alert: the enemy sees you and tries to eliminate. This works for human and intelligent humanoid enemies only, so if you are detected by undead, Shalebridge enemies or statues it doesn’t count.

Special:

(1) Side quests include:
1. Taking landlord's blackmail money
2. Escaping Pavelock prison
3. Stealing dagger from Cothron's Armoury
4. Stealing Gemcutter Crowley hidden money
5. Dealing with pagan's tree
6. Solving Hammerite graveyard problem
7. Stealing vintage wine from racketeer
8. Cleaning a murder scene
9. Robbing closed Samuel forge
10. Buying artifacts replicas
11. Killing all rust mites
12. Activating all cornerstones

(2) Missable maps include:
1. St. Edgar Cathedral
2. Curshok's Citadel
3. Keeper's Compound
4. Shalebridge Cradle
5. Wieldstorm Museum

(3) This applies to missions only, and doesn't count if done in The City

(4) This doesn't apply for Into the Pagan Sanctuary, where you have to kill at least one pagan

(5) Any lock with the max number of circles

(6) You need Moira Fix from Thief 3 Gold for that

I used them to bring more people to original trilogy fan arts, which are now quite difficult to find, because google usually give you tons of arts on mediocre remake with few on the real series. No, these are supposed to be two achievements that cancel each other but you can get them both in one playthrough: play until all training locks are available, save, buy them all, get the achievement, reload. I included the one with the locks cause they are useless in the game itself and having an achievement gives at least little reason to buy them.

Overall I really like this seems like it'd be insanely difficult to do all of this in one go but possible for someone insanely dedicated to the game. I haven't played any myself but from the time and effort you must've put into this list I bet you'd make some great fan missions

Wow this is awesome! I can see you spend a lot of time and effort creating this and went totally out of your way coming up with creative, yet recognisable achievements.
Man... If only Valve gave us some kind of tool or a way 'make' or create your own achievements so that you could import or simply copy/paste these into the game (kinda like adding non-steam games).
