Stop upload The sims folder in Onedrive

Here is a solution to One drive issues caused by The Sims storing and changes a lots of files inside Onedrive.
After this dirty fix you have to backup the folder manually.
Onedrive will also show errors, but it will not uploading the content in the folder to cloud.

Whats make this difficult is that EA games not allow to change folder location (for exampel with a registry ke) out of OneDrive and MS are not allowing us to stop a folder within Onedrive to be uploaded.

Stop folder from sync to cloud

Move folder "C:\Users\####\OneDrive\Documents\Electronic Arts\" to a temp location, for exampel "C:\Users\####\Temp_EA"

Recreate folder "C:\Users\####\OneDrive\Documents\Electronic Arts"
Open command prompt and navigate to the folder and type (without the "")
"echo.> @KEEP_THIS_FOLDER_IN_CLOUD_TO_PREVENT_LOCALSYNC"
This file will be uploaded to cloud.

Open One drive settings in app and exclude the folder: "C:\Users\####\OneDrive\Documents\Electronic Arts"
The newly created (almost empty) folder will be deleted.

Recreate the folder "C:\Users\####\OneDrive\Documents\Electronic Arts"
Changes in this directory will no longer be uploaded.
As a reminder that local folder is not in sync anymore make a reminder that will stay in top of the local folder.
Open command prompt and navigate to the folder and type (without the "")
"echo.> @THIS_FOLDER_IS_NOT_SYNCED_TO_CLOUD_BY_ONEDRIVE"

Move folder "C:\Users\####\Temp_EA\The Sims 4"
to
"C:\Users\####\OneDrive\Documents\Electronic Arts\"

Delete folder: "C:\Users\####\Temp_EA"

ty I have this issue and I have a very small fast sata drive to boot up. wasnt expecting sims to go on that drive installation .

I hate when Onedrive puts back all my CC I had that later broke patches.
