Guide for pup raising

Simple guide on how to raise your pups.

First of all cute pups themselves,You can get many personality's with your pups and coat colours. You will have to protect these pups with everything you've got in you and I mean everything. You'll also have to stop them from starving to death,like in 2.7.

Predators Themselves

This section will be going through the animals of Slough Creek whose goal is to either:
Get a snack
or
Eliminate the competition..


Animal: Coyote
Threat: Low (If 2 or more medium)
Rarity: Common
Attacks den?: Yes
These things will kill your pup instantly if they grab hold of one since they want to get rid of the competition.


Animal: Stranger wolf
Threat: High (Low if 1 wolf,medium if 2 wolves,High if 3 wolves)
Rarity: Common/Uncommon (Depending if territory is well marked)
Attacks den?: Yes
These things will also kill your pup instantly if they grab hold of one since they want to get rid of the competition like coyotes.


Animal: Cougar
Threat: Medium/High
Rarity: Uncommon
Attacks den?: Yes
These things will not kill your pup instantly if they grab hold of one,luckily. Instead they will BOLT away if they snatch a pup but the added weight of the pup will slow it down for a few moments so you can bite it and make it drop the pup.

Animal: Grizzly bear
Threat: High
Rarity: Rare
Attacks den?: Yes
These things are like cougars,They'll grab a pup and run which gives you time to catch up to it and bite it.


Animal: Golden Eagle
Threat: Medium
Rarity: Uncommon
Attacks den?: Yes
Once an eagle has a pup, it's over. The pup will instantly die, I believe.

Natural Dangers

Oh, look at that! Nature is also out to get you!

Den Floods

This is a common occurrence during early spring, or flood season! There is a chance that your pups will refuse to go into the den if you woof, the game will then prompt you to investigate. You will be greeted with a picture of your beloved den, flooded and therefore unsafe. If this was to happen, you'd be forced to move dens.

Illness

Your pups can also fall sick. On the Easy difficulty, your pups cannot die from any Illness, however, their health will still decline rapidly. On any other difficulty, sickness can be fatal. Spending time with the sick pup can increase their chances of survival, but never quite guarantees it. Sickness can also spread.

Notes

• With the Illness, it is more common for pups with both genetic black parents to fall sick.
  
• Take everything in this guide with a grain of salt because I'm not an expert and most likely never will be!

It may be a good thing to add that pup health declines rapidly when they are snatched by a bear or cougar

pups can die to sickness on easy, but its very rare, i had it happen to me on multiplayer once, it has never happened to me on singleplayer, im not sure if it can only happen in multiplayer or not.

Can you plz do a guide on illness/sick pups? One of my pups (my favourite, mind you) is sick and I need a guide. I don't know how to 'spend time with them' do I just stay near her or do I do emotes? PLEASE! I'm desperate!
