Preface
Hello everyone and welcome to my guide about House of Da Vinci 2. This guide will be about all the achievements and the full walkthrough of the game, but since this is my 4th guide please leave a comment if you have noticed something is wrong or needs to be corrected in any form. Remember when you wanna reset a puzzle in this game you have to go back to main menu and press play again.

I hope this guide will be helpfull for you, good luck!

Chapter 1, Castello Estense - Ferrera 1945
This part is mostly a tutorial you can skip this part of the guide if you feel like you dont need it.

You wake up a in a cell in Ferrera, the game tells you that you can look around if you hold and drag your cursor around. Your warden gives you something, click on it to pick it up. You will learn that you can examine certain items that you picked up. Examine the leather case that you just got. You will receive a letter. Read it and unwind the bottom of it. Pick up the wooden spoon aswel as you are going to need it later.

Zoom in on the door and drag the key on top of the square looking rivet to open up the keyhole. Use the key onto the keyhole, go through the door and pick up the curiously shaped screw that is in a little niche on the left. and use it on the wooden barrel on the right side of the room you just came into. You will gain a piece of a torture device. Notice that there is a plus icon on the bottom right of this item?, it means that you can combine something with this item. Examine the torture part and drag the curiously shaped screw on top of it. You will get a torture device.

Place the torture device in the hole in the ground and lower the shackles to the ground and attach it to the device, higher the shackels again, when the lever breaks use the wooden spoon to fix it. Enter the sewers. Open the hatch in front of you so you can enter the bigger sewer area.

Cross the bridge and open up the little lever that is on that side, use it so the gate to the next area is open. Go to the next section of the room, and zoom in on the box on the left. turn the 3 dials so you can open the front of the box, you will receive a gold and silver-plated object. Use the plated object on the top of the chest so that it opens up, you will receive a letter and a burnished brass cone. Use the latter on top of the strange looking ball to release its locks. turn the sections of the dome so that the patterns line up, I unfortunately wasnt fast enough to get a screenshot of it but make sure that you see a flower on the left.

Pick up the Oculus Perpetua this device makes you go back to the past, use it and go back into the past, notice how the gargoyle is still operational at that time, turn it off by turning the lever. You will go back to the present and are able to pick up the stone head. Take the stone head and place it on the wall on the left of the little box that you have opened before. Drag its mouth down so a new passage will open.

Go left and up the stairs, open the door a guard would be standing there. Wait till he leaves and go into the opened door infront of you. You will go into a cutscene. At the end you will receive a notebook and the chapter is complete.

Chapter 2, Santa Maria Delle Grazie - Milan 1945
You arrive in a labyrinth in Santa Maria delle Grazie and you will be having a small cutscene with Leonardo Da Vinci after the short talk turn around and read the letter on the table, after that move aside the pillow on the right of the table to pick up a Prayer Nut. Examine the Prayer Nut in your inventory to find a crank shaped as a star.



Place this crank on the middle of the table that has the same shape as your crank and start turning it. A metal structure resembling a pinecone rises from within the table.

Press the little spot on the pinecone that is a little bit lighter than the rest indicating wear



3 other pinecone points eject from the main structure, pull them to reveal the mechanism under the pinecone, that has moveable objects and symbols. Slide the moveable objects accordingly to the symbols and line them up.


When you have put the pieces on the correct side the pinecone structure will open up and reveal an abacus. Turn it once from left to right, and then from up till bottom, only thing you have to do now is move the arrow pieces up or down so that the little balls will be aranged the same way the fruits on the tree at the back are. Your character will make a note about it in your journal.


After finishing that the pinecone structure will close down into the table again and reveal a Part of a Mechanism, pick it up. zoom out and move to the left of the little gazebo, you will see a device with a lever when you turn the lever the plant moves. For now lets close the front lid and examine it so that you can get another clue for your journal. After doing so slide the little button on the front side to the left so that the upper lid opens up. Now go back to the table and use your Oculus Perpetua to go back in time.

Go to the left chair to the eagle move it aside to reveal a slider, slide it down in order for us to access the upper part of the chair. revealing yet again another slider, use that slider aswel to reveal disc covered in Roman numerals, take it. Now zoom in on the device we were at last where you wrote down your second clue, adjust the dials so that the symbols match with the clue you wrote down in your journal.

After you have unlocked that part in the past, go back to the present and place the dial with Roman numerals at the top. Here you have to complete a simple math puzzle both coins need to add up to the number that is already at the top. that would make:

Upper left corner: I + V = VI (1 + 5 = 6)
Upper right corner: V + III = VIII (5 +3 = 8)
Down left corner: I + II = III (1 + 2 = 3)
Down right corner: II + III = V (2 + 3 = 5)


This will open the lid revealing a medallion, take it and examine it. Make sure you open up the medallion. Place the medallion behind you to open up the Triptych looking panels thus the next puzzle bit to solve. For this puzzle what you wanna do is make sure that you pass the upper piece downwards while also touching all of the other little paintings. You can move the upper piece with the two dials on each side of the doors


Your character will make write down the pathing aswel as a third clue within your journal. You will also gain a cogwheel assembly take it. After picking up the cogwheel the next puzzle will appear, here you see a set of wheels that can be turned. To solve this puzzle make sure you place all the sliders in the middle so that all wheels can turn, this will make a part of the table open up.

Note on this puzzle the middle wheel will also move the 2 wheels aside of it. The left wheel moves with the right wheel, and that the 2nd to left wheel (the one that also moves if you use the middle wheel) can move on its own. I couldnt make a good picture showcasing this movement sadly enough.


Now you have to combine the answer you got from the Triptych looking panels showcasing astrology symbols onto the table, what you have to do is figure out which panel to press first. The order is as follows:

Ram (Ares), Lion (Leo), Scales (Libra), Archer (Sagittarius), Twins (Gemini) and Fish (Pisces).

Now go back to the past towards the gate and place your cogwheel assembly to it. Rotate the giant ring first so that the 4 smaller rings are on the right spot. You can easily do this by putting the ring with 4 balls in the upper right corner. now all you have to do is turn the 4 smaller rings so that the balls match with the fence behind it.


The fence gate will open and you will be able to proceed. Go to the door on the left that is open, close it and set the sun rays on the correct symbols so that the other side opens up. By doing this you will have locked yourself in so we gotta fix that next. Look at the stone benches, the eye indicates the north part, assemlbe the symbols in the way shown on the stone benches to open the door again. Ive got both solutions shown below here.


Before we leave this little area take a look at the bird cage. On the front is a puzzle with 4 colours star shapes, what you have to do is make sure that all the little star blocks go to the same coloured symbol. This one takes a bit of turning I found the block movement a little bit unnatural at times like blocks getting stuck.


After you got them in the correct order the birdcage opens up and you get a tool with four purtrusions that hangs on the inner cage door, zoom out a bit and go to the back of the cage to see a spot that can hold a tool with four purtrusions. Turn it so that the upper part of the bird cage becomes movable. Turn the upper part until the peacock is at the front, turn its head so that it will unfold its feathers so that you can pick up those feathers.

Go to the other door that we had opened, your character will make a clue in its journal. turn the handle and get up the ladder to pick up the crank, we dont have anything to do here just yet but you need to have the handle in your inventory to be able to get the hoarder achievement.

Go back to the Gazebo and place the peacock tail on the lock that is holding the plant pot in place. Move the plant pot to the left using the lever and go back to the present, notice that now the wheel that was stuck at the top now has fallen down. Pick it up and combine it with the part of a mechanism that you had in your inventory for a while and make it a mechanism with a handle. Place that mechanism on the table part that you uncovered earlier and move the hedge surround one part of the gazebo.

Pick up the Metal Ornamental Dome that is lying on the stone boulder that is blocking the hedge from turning further. Go to the letter case on the bench, make sure that the upper symbols line up with the already existing lower part to open it and to receive a letter.


After having read the letter you can zoom in on the top and move the slider to reveal a Lion Head. Now go to a closet looking structure notice how the front rings dont match up, turn the left one so that its identical to the right. You will receive a Special Key.
Chapter 2, Santa Maria Delle Grazie - Milan 1945 Continuation
You will also get a winged key, thus having 5 items in your inventory and gaining the ''Hoarder'' Achievement. Now go ahead and place the lion head at the middle front of the closet and make sure both sides are attached to the head so it can lower itself. The compartiment reveals a grooved slot on when you take it, it will reveal another section. Open that new section by removing its lock on its side. And place the Grooved slot within the new section. See picture below, I've also already turned one of the disk so that the strange key fits into its mold.


You can already turn the other 2 sides that show up and place the other strange key from your inventory in there.

Zoom in on the lower side of the closet and place your winged key in there to get the third special key. Insert that one into the last slot. A little box will show up. Tilt the jewel on the front side of the chest so that it opens up revealing Brass Letter with the initials LD. Go back to the Gazebo and back into the past to the other gate with the ladder we were just before. Check your inventory and upon up the Metal Ornamental Dome so that it becomes a handle.

Turn the ladder handle so that it faces the statue again, then place the wooden handle on top of the ladder so that when you turn it, it lowers the ladder. Take the wooden handel with you again and go up the ladder. attach the Dome Handle on the claw of the crane so that it opens up.

Go to the backside of the crane and turn the crane toward the stone block that is blocking the gazebo from turning. Use the Dome handle again to latch the claw onto the rop and then lift it up. After you have done that you will be returned to the present time again.

Turn the Gazebo and go to the door, open the 2 locks on it. Notice the LD letters again, Try to make the LD in your inventory the same shape as it does in the door mechanism.

Chapter 3, Corte Vecchia - Milan 1948
The Chapter begins with a small cutscene where at the end Leonardo asks of you to open a very particular box.

To begin lets go to the circulair shape at the top of the box slide up the metal piece, so that you can retrieve the Serrated Band from it while also unlocking 2 emerald looking decorations, one of those contains a head with a screw and the other contains a folded phoenix head. Exmaine both items in your inventory. Now go to the backside of the container there you can insert the Serrated Band, here comes the next puzzle. What you have to do is line up the symbols so left side shows an owl so the red dial with birds go to the left. Solution of it below. after you have moved the parts to its correct place, push the middle button. and a bird without a head will pop up.


Place the phoenix head on top of the incomplete bird at the top, now notice its wings there are the same symbols on it that we just saw in the last puzzle, lets recreate them again in the middle.

After having those these 4 wing pieces another piece from the Turkish container gets revealed, place the figurine head on top and move the chest and arms parts so that it becomes a puppet. You will gain a moon key. Place that moon key at the top of the container at the moon with a sphere within it. Grab the sphere and drop it in the black tube sticking out of the top of the container. This will open up the middle part showing 2 dragons, assemble their heads.

Take the vial with unknown liquid from the left dragon and go the right dragon prepare the middle right side so that the liquid can flow through it then place the vial. You will gain a button with thorn, place the button with thorn on the middle left dragon, here a little game of follow the marbles will begin, if you get all 3 correct the first time you will get an achievement for it!. The Solutions for this one differ everytime you do it so try to keep up with the orbs, dont worry if you didnt get it first try. You can go back to the main menu and press play again that will reset the puzzle.

You will gain a screwdriver, use that screwdriver on the right dragon above the vials so they open up. place the marbles within the vials so they change colours and then turn the lower part of the vials so that the liquids go to the next part of the puzzle. The back part of the dragon will come loose, turn it so that you can get the safety screw. Place the safety screw on the right dragon and turn the handles up so that the upper part goes up. Another cutscene will begin.

After the cutscene examine the mouth of the right dragon for a part of a mechanism, place it on the front side of the mechanism that just popped up from the middle of the Turkish Cabinet revealing a puppet. Lower the fence below the book and open the book to reveal a Sagittarius Disc. Place the disc on the side panel and makes sure that all of the holes are lit up.


Open the handles so it drops down revealing a brass handle and a chart memorise the chart or take a look at it below here and make sure that the other side panel is showing this exact chart aswel. You will gain a wooden brush.


Lower the handle that was just shown to you, so that the fence on the puppets other side can be lowered. Lower that fence and place the wooden brush in that hand. This will make the puppet sit down and the 2 remaining side panels will open up. Turn the Red looking juwel on one of the panels to green so that the compartiment opens and you get a part of a flute. Pull the slider down where the flute was to gain a small key aswel.

Place the key on to the keyhole above the little weight in the other side panel so that it falls down and lets the knife fall down with it aswel. You will gain a Teardrop-shaped gem, again turn the red gem to green to get another part of a flute. Combine the flute parts now place the tear shaped gem on the top of the puppets head so that a new compartiment opens where you can place the flute. now legs will appear on the Turkish Container.

Examine the feet to gain a rail. Place the rail on the front side of the doors to open it. In here you have a mechanism on which you can swap colours. Your goal is to swap them all to yellow. Revealing an elephants head, point the pointer at the top to both sides to reveal 2 buttons, push both buttons and lower the elephants its tusks. Pull the pin from the middle of its head up so that is trunk gets revealed. Pull a lever at the middle of its head up so that a wheel rolls down the trunk so you can pick it up.

Place the wheel on the side of the revealed elephant and turn the handle that comes free with it, you will get to see a small cutscene where Leonardo goes to sleep, now is your chance to see whats in the study. Go upstairs and back in to the past. Go to the table to make a sketch of what Leonardo is working on. Return to the present another cutscene will play, marking the end of the chapter.

Chapter 4, Badia Fiorentina - Florence 1508
From this chapter on the story will tie in more with the first House of Da Vinci game.
You wake up in the Badia Fiorentina in front of you is a chest and on the ground on the left of you is a handle, pick up the handle and examine the chest. Notice the scratch marks on one of the decorations on the right. Turn it to reveal a Wooden Disc. Turn to the other side of the room and pick up the Leonardo figurine.

Go to the wall on the side where you also found the Leonardo figurine, use the handle to open up a space in the wall. Now go ahead and examine the wooden disc in your inventory so that it becomes a wooden cogwheel that you can place within the open spot within the wall.

Here is the first puzzle, what you have to do is make sure that both the wooden panels on each side go all the way to the top, the easiest way for me was to first pull up the left wooden panel all the way and then set up the dials so that the right one can be pulled up rather simpel aswel.

To begin with first turn the lower right handle twice, then the middle right handle 4 times.
After that on the second pictures turn the lower right handle twice then turn the upper right handle twice and then turn the lower right handlde twice. You now have the left wooden panel completly upwards.


Continuing with the right wooden panel first turn the middle right panel twice, then turn the lower left handle 5 times. following up with the middle left handle twice. Then going to the second picture first use the lower left handle 4 times, then middle right handle 2 times, go back to the lower left handle and pull it 4 times again and as last pull the middle left handle once. Now the puzzle is finished


After finishing the puzzle you get a folding key. Go back to the chest you were at in the beginning of the game. Look at the keyhole and mimic that shape with your folding key.


After opening the chest, examine the chest handle on the right side, screw it loose and take it back to the compartiment where you got the folding key, place the handle in there to reveal a letter and the Oculus Perpetua. Use it to go back in to the past, you will see a set of shelves, turn the florence flask holder so that the first shelve will fold. Take the metal loop from it and use it on the bottom side of the middle shelve to open it, as last slide the left shelve holder to the left of the upper shelve. This will open the door for you.

You will enter a lift there is an achievement involved with the next puzzle, you have to clear it WITHOUT using the Oculus Perpetua. The solution is as follows.


Then pull the lever and you will go to the next floor. You will get a short cutsene and then go back to the present. In here there are multiple pillars with signs or numbers on them if you use your lens, make sure you take a note of each and every pillar in your journal. Now place the Leonardo figurine on the middle of the table. 2 sections will come up with one being the main story teller of what Leonardo has been doing most recent years.

Go to the section that looks like a castle, move the upper blocks side and push the middle button to make sure they match up.


After this stack the symbols on top of each other. Another section opens up that looks like a church, with on the front a letter puzzle. The trick to this puzzle is that the letters have to be the same that are adjacent to them and that the spaces with a dot on it are spaces that dont have an adjacent letter, so they go on the outsides naturally. You can do this puzzle in many ways I prefer it to first place all the upper parts to the upper side and visa versa with the lower parts and then combine them in the puzzle one by one.


After finishing this puzzle the chapel will open up and reveal a brass collapsible frame. Upon taking it 2 more structure will be revealed. Zoom in on the tower and take the burnished brass object. Zoom in on the third structure and use the brass object on the side to open it up to reveal a candle and flint, light up the candle. Examine the Brass collapsible frame until it is a wheel with small frames and place it on the holder in that is in the middle of the building. Take the Star Shaped Tool and the dirty lens from the front of the building. Zoom out and look for drawer looking bit of the table, open it by turning it a quarter, then move the yellow tape and the flowers all the way till they arent in the way anymore.


This will reveal a polish machine, place the dirty lens in it and polish it. Take the polished lens and place it on the same spot you took it from. A little video will play on the white cloth, depicting shapes. Press the shapes in the correct order, the order is as follows: Diamond, Dodecahedron, Star, Icosahedron.

After doing that you will gain the Ornate Case, now go to the back of the room where the doors are closed with a shaped key. Open them using your folding key. The one below here is for the left door


This one below is for the right door.


Push the handles down on the right door mechanism so that you lower the staircase and go back to the chest again. At the chest use the star shaped tool on the left side so that a secret compartiment opens up holding a metal handle. Place that metal handle on to the ornate case so that you get an ornate case with handle. Go back upstairs, and to the left door mechanism place the ornate case there. Here will be the next puzzle, you will have to figure out what to fill in as a number.

check your journal and go to the clue where you had to draw all those numbers from the side panels.


Notice any patterns with the numbers?
The trick is as follow you start at the arrows lower right, go left to 0507 notice that going from 0507 to 1015 its a multiply of 2 + 1 and going from 1015 to 2031 is also a multiply of 2 + 1
which means that 2031 x 2 + 1 = 4063.

Go up the stairs that just got lowered and examine the wooden balcony on your left, you will get a wooden rose. Go 1 level downstairs again and place that wooden rose to the door that is missing it, after doing so you will receive a lever. Go back upstairs again and place the handle in its holder. A kind of parachute will reveal itself, use it.

You will end up in a random street corner, zoom in on the plant pot on the left and grab the wing nut that is in the plant, now use your lens on the pot holder to reveal its mechanics. and push both sides up so that the middle button is free to move.


You will be able to get a rusty handle. Zoom in to the well in the back of the street corner, slide both brass looking pieces towards yourself and then place the rust handle on top of its holder to reveal the next puzzle.
Chapter 4, Badia Fiorentina - Florence 1508 Continuation
Use your eyepiece you will see a few symbols and numbers at the bottom, what you have to do here is make sure that you line up the sliding pieces to the correct symbol, but also put them in their slot in the correct order.


Now zoom to the right side of the well to the little rose ornament, turn it so that the yellow arrows are pointing to eachother. You will gain a part of a mechanism. Combine the wing nut and the mechanism to eachother to gain a whinch. Use it to rise the well item, to get a Stone Ornament. Place the stone ornament to the stone pillar to the right. This will reveal a mask and a series of Roman Numerals. Place the mask on the statue on the left pillar and pull the lever. You will gain an ornate capsule. Place the capsule in the stone pillar with the Roman Numerals.

Use your eyepiece again, notice the numbers on the capsule. What you have to do it make sure these numbers on the capsule add up to the Roman Numerals on the pillar. Starting from a high number makes it easier, so lets take a look at 11. From top to bottom the order will be: 4, 2, 4, 1

You will gain a letter and a small cutscene on which the chapter ends.

Chapter 5, Sacra di San Michele - Turin 1508
This chapter begins with a cutscene where you arrive at Sacra di San Michele in Turin, Leonardo asks of you to find the secret part of the library.

Begin this chapter with writing down the little symbols written on the tombstones. In total there are 8 symbols which all will appear in your journal. You will need these symbols later, lets focus on the ornament on the right side of the altar. Zoom in on the red jewel on the ornament's stand, slide it down to reveal a skull. Now go to the upper part of the ornament there is a puzzle with an achievement here, to gain the achievement you have to solve the puzzle WITHOUT using your Oculus. The solution for that is as follows.


You will gain a Embossed Disc, go to the very left side of the library against a wall is a triptych painting that is missing a disc on its shield. Place the disk there, you will gain a part of a shield. Now go to the back of the library to the painting that says ''Cedo Nulli'' under that painting is a box. Place the skull on the lid of the box to get a little puzzle, you have to make sure that both sides can be released. If you want the Genius Loci achievement to see a ghost event stand behind the pillar with the painting for a minute, the ghost will appear there. got a picture of that below here aswel.


You will gain a blue gem, go to the left side of the library again. To the left of the altar is an ornament with the same blue gems, turn the circlet until you find a spot that is missing a gem and place it there. The upper part comes loose and you have to twist it a few times to get it. The order is as follows:
Right, Left, Left, Right, Left, Right. You will gain a small shield with arms. Combine this with the part of a shield you already had in your inventory to gain a shield.

Go to the back of the altar looking stone, on the back you see that the middle clover ornament has scratches around it, turn it to reveal 4 holes. Place your shield in there, here the puzzle will reveal itself where you needed those symbols for. Remember the painting that I mentioned and the wording on it Cedo Nulli, make that word with the symbols that you have written down in your journal that will open up the compartiment.


You will get a strangely shaped key and a wooden ornament. Go to the little wooden closet on the left side of the library (Behind Leonardo), Place the wooden ornament in the little slot. Take a look at the 2 panels that will appear the left one shows a few lines that eventually if you put them all together will make a square devided by 4 blocks. So move the wooden ornament to the left and choose the square that has 4 blocks within it. Now look at the right side. This one is a little bit harder try to find lines that none of the examples show. Solutions below here


A slot will open for the strangely shaped key to fit in, opening this will reveal a secret passage, simply slide the sliders on the door to open them. Take the metal wheel with handle from the wall on your left and go further ahead towards the window, open the window and take the window crank from it.

Go further down and take the wooden handle that lays on top of the chair on the left, now look to your right and turn the brazier to reveal an item, combine that item with the metal wheel with handles to gain a winch wheel. Go back up stairs to the first room you found.

Notice that there is a small gap within the wood on the benches on now your right side, use the window crank over there and place the wooden handle in the slot that we uncovered, you will gain a rod with a ring. Now check out the elevator mechanism. Notice the red outlining on the machine, mimic that outlining with the winchwheel so that it fits on it. Pull the elevator down so that you can get a tool with levers, and also turn the lever on the elevator. Now put the elevator up again and go down the stairs.

Place the with a ring on its slot on the ceiling, and open the ceiling up. Examine the tool with twho levers so that it becomes a winchwheel mechanism, use the winchwheel mechanism on the slot on the right side of the construction, a barrel will roll out. Try to line up the grooves with the barrel's rivet so that they can be slid in to the top, do this 4 times with all the rivets.


You will get another puzzle, here you have to place the 3 star shaped sliders onto the middle line, Here is how I did it.
Slide the first slider with the 2 down arrows to the left, now slide the slider with the 1 up and 1 down arrow upwards to the upper middle. then slide the slider with the 3 arrows up to the upper right corner and as last slide the 2 down 1 up slider to the bottom right corner.


This will give the barrel a loop where you can attach the elevator onto, go back to the elevator and make it go down. Turn the lever to go the up and down arrows and turn the lever within the elevator again now you will go up yourself to the abbot's room.

Go to the chair and remove the red hat to reveal an carved wooden stud that you can screw off and take in your inventory. Take the boot from the ground and examine it to gain a metal flower leaf. Lower the painting that is next to the chair. Now go to the puzzle on the left wall of the room, basicly the puzzle shows the room you are standing in and the painitng you just moved is part of it. Move the red gem past the upper part of the puzzle and then adjust the painting back to its original hanging place.

You will now encounter the table puzzle, you can adjust the table flower ornament like the picture below so that the gem can pass.


Now you gotta move the flower ornaments again so that the gem can go to the end of the puzzle.


You will get a metal component and a few symbols will appear next to certain flower on the puzzle ring. Take the metal component to the vase looking object on the desk and place it there. In here you have to place the correct plant essence corresponding with the symbols you've just revealed.

Now lets focus on the puzzle mechanism on the front side of the use your Oculus Perpetua, You will have to unlock the 4 sets of keys on the right. I will post the solution in rows

First Row of 4: Up, Down, Down, Down
Second Row of 4: Down, Down, Down, Up
Third Row of 4: Up, Down, Up, Down
Fourth Row of 4: Down, Down, Up, Down
Fifth Row of 5: Down, Down Up

Now the puzzle should be solved and you will receive your first flower essence. The essence of Tulip, look at the wall symbols again to see what symbol this essence should be place at. Its the circle with cross inside of it. Place the vial there to gain a strange key.
Chapter 5, Sacra di San Michele - Turin 1508 Continuation
Go to the cupboard on the back of the room, to the left side of it are 2 flower decorations make sure that they are identical to each other so that the compartiment behind it opens up revealing 4 sliders, slider them all to the sides to reveal a slot for the carved wooden stud. Use it to reveal the books within the cupboard. Take the Herbarium.

Now place the strange key in the keyhole in the middle of the cupboard to reveal 4 planets. This one isnt hard at all the only thing you have to watch out for is that you can use the pointy sliders on the sides to ''lock'' the planet as to say. Lock the planet into place everytime it opens up a little using the 3 colours at its side. Release the planet when you wanna open it more. When you have completed the puzzle you will get essence of Anise. Place the essence of Anise at the symbol that looks like a thunderbolt. You will gain a flower ornament.

Combine the flower ornament with the metal flower leaf to gain a Mechanism with flower motif. You can now place this mechanism on the chair side of the desk, you will see an imprint there that indicates the spot. You can place the herbarium on that so that it opens.

Now here comes another achievement puzzle. You have to get all 3 balls to the end without failing the mechanics of this puzzle are a bit tedious but green means left, red means right. If you failed one of them you can simply go back to main menu and then press play again so that you dont have to play the entire chapter again for this achievement. I have seen complaints of people saying that after their ball dissappeared they couldnt continue anymore, but I have seen a recent fix that should hopefully fix that problem.

Anyways after you got all three balls in the lowest hole you will get the essence of sage and a drawer handle. Now examine the moon shaped form that also appeared on the desk, slide it open to reveal the Essence of Rose and a star ornament.

Place the drawer handle on the side of the desk to reveal 3 word boards. Make it appear the same words as on the painting with ''Custodias, Hic Hostium'' You will gain the Essence of Mint.

Go the bookcase on the very left side of the room, close to where you came in from and place the wooden ornament on the side to get the essence of spice. Place the vials with the correct symbols when you have placed them all in slide the slider on the side downwards. and retrieve the straight key.

Go the corner left of the herbarium bookcase, to a lit up vase and place the key at the keyhole at the top. The backside will open and you have to complete the wheel so that you can use it. Also pick up the winged nut that fell down cause of that aswel. Place the winged nut on the mechanism that appeared from under the little table and wind up the machine so that it turns of all the lights.
Turn the key again and the top will open up. Here is the last puzzle of the chapter you have to point the switches to the correct side so that the steel beam extends. The order is as follows: Right, Left, Right, Left, Left. Flick the last switch that is on the big steel beam so that the escalators descend. Go up the stairs to finisht the chapter.

Chapter 6, Secret Library - Turin 1508
The Chapter 6 starts exactly where you ended chapter 5. Look to your left and turn the railing ornament to get a metal rod, use your Oculus Perpetua to go back in time. Now look to your right to the top part of the railing, you can move the triangular bit and gain a metal grate. Combine the metal rod and the metal grate together to form a Metal Grate with Lever.

Attach the grate to the top of the mechanism and slide down to the other side, in here is an entire room dedicated to some mirror puzzle. Start the mirror puzzle by letting in some light. Go to the higher platform and turn right there you see 2 brass coloured handles. Turn them so that you can get a metal triangle.

Move down the stairs the opposite side of where you came from and pick up the lever that is hanging on the wall to your right. Now go all the way to the backside of the room onto the platform again to a door that has some strange pin slots. Examine the metal triangle and assemble it in a so that its pins will fit in the pin slots of the door lock.


Place it there and turn it so that the doors open, now on the left door is a de piction of the sun and the next achievement. Again to get the achievement you have to solve it WITHOUT the Oculus. What you have to do it move the sunrays away from the one you want to pull out until you have done that with all 4 of them.


You will get a wheel, now go down the platform on the entrance side again and pick up the cross-shaped lever part from the wall. Go back to the front and up the platform and place the wheel on the big mirror structure on which you earlier released the 2 brass handles from. Turn it to let the light reflect and gain a small metal component. Combine this component with the cross shaped lever and place it on the mirror mechanism down below so that the sunrays get focused.

Go down the platform on the entrance side and go to the middle you can place the lever that was hanging on the wall here. Turn it to the right so that the smaller mirror piece moves and unlocks the the first part of 4. Go there and slide the little door at the upper right corner to the right to gain a Lens. Go all the way back to the big mirror and place the lens on the missing spot on the entrance side.

Go back to the lever in the middle of the entrance side and slide it to the right so that the light gets reflected in a different way. But this time you have to go the very left side where the light source is and turn the left right lever (opposite of the entrace) and then the other lever that is on the entrance side to open up the 2nd part.

Screw the wheel looking thing on the wall loose to reveal a few sliding pieces that need to be placed correctly. The solution is pictured down below.


You will gain a steering wheel, go back to the light source with and place the steering wheel on the right lever. Now go back to the big lever in the middle of the room on the enttrance side, this time pull it to the left. Now go back to the lever at the light source and turn the wheel you just placed. Until the mirror that moves hits the light beam. Now do this also with the wheel on the entrance side
This whill unlcok the 3rd site. Pick up the eight-sided board from there.

Go to the very left corner of the room at the entrance side and look at the 3 triangle shapes on the wall the wall. Now examine the eight-sided board. On the back side are also triangles. Try to mimic the placement. When you have done so you can hang it on the wall and a rubiks cube. Here is how you solve the rubiks cube.



This will higher the last place that you need to hit with the light beam, go back to the big lever on the entrance side and turn it to the right then turn it to the left and then back to the right. Now the light should be reflected towards your character. Go back to the levers at the lightsource. Turn the left wheel all the way back and then turn the lever on the right side so that they light beam will hit the last spot. Then entrace will open up.

Go down the stairs and pick up the weight that lays on your left, now go back in time again and look at the iron gate, make sure that the symbols all match to each other so that the gate opens. Go further to the door. Turn the wheel on the door so that it uncovers a hook with a screw. Attach it to the weight. Place the weight on the chain on the left side of the door this will open up the door mechanism.

Zoom in on the second door on your left Here you have to use a few discs and sliders to remove an objcect.


You will gain a short key, zoom out and go to the door to the right of you. Use your eyepiece and make sure that the 2 side beams can go up a little bit. After you have done tthat go to the pillar left of the second door and place the short key in its slot. You now can turn the first doors, look behind you at the door slide the 2 handles to the side so that the ornament on the otherside falls down. Turn the wheel on the pillar to the left again to pick it up.

Look up from the wheel on the pillar and you see a left and a right arrow, turn the handle to the right and turn the wheel again so that the path infront og you will be free and you can pick up another item.

Go further down the path you will be stopped by another steel fence with symbols on it, place the 2 items you got from the door puzzle onto it. This time again you have to make sure that all the symbols are the same as their adjacent ones. Focusing on the right side first.

Place the right symbols like shown below first, then turn the right side 2 spaces to the left. Now change the symbols again until they match also shown below here.


Now go the left side, you begin by turn the left side 1 space to the right and then change the upper right and the lower right part of that side. (the right side is shown incorrect to make sure I was able to make the screenshot for the left side).


You will go into a small room with a staircase and a small bench, examine the left front ornament on the bench and turn it so that the 2 white stripes align, to gain a small key. Use that small key on the side of the bench (where you can from) to open a compartiment that contains the key to the door.

In the next room pick up the metal ornament that lays on the shelves next to the door, use that ornament on the small cabinet on the far left corner of the room. Use your eye piece to allign the ornaments and gain a circular ornament. Place that disk on the book shelve on the right of the door to reveal a slider with colours.

Search the room for colour indications. Behind you is the first one a singular blue stripe. On the left side of the reading desk is the second one. a dual yellow stripe. and on the book holder on the left of th edoor is the 3rd colour clue with triple green stripe. Fill in the colour code as: Blue, Yellow, Green and the next part opens up.
Chapter 6, Secret Library - Turin 1508 Continuation
You will find a puzzle that shows 4 wooden beams blocking the backside of the cabinet, what you have to do here is make sure those 4 beams all move away and give way for you to access the.
Here is what I did. I first placed all 3 of the wooden staves on an individual slot. Then I started to move the staves more higher up a little bit lower and the highest one connects between the first and second beam. I brough up the first and 2nd beam and used the stave that isnt used on the 2nd beam to the 3rd and 4th one make them connect. I bring the first 2 down again and slide the stave from the 3rd beam into the 2nd one. Now you can pull the beams up to reveal the backside.


On the backside is the mechanism that blocked the door, slide it so that the door opens up. Go inside and use the Oculus Perpetua again, this time to get the key. Use that key on the lower side of the book case that is right infront of you between N-O and O-P. The doors slide open and you will find the book that you have been looking for. Enjoy the cutscene and congratulations for finishing House of Da Vinci 2.

Not super relevant to the guide as a whole, I'm just a nerd and noticed it, but I think the 4th symbol on the box in chapter 3 is the hieroglyph for the crown of lower Egypt. They all appear to be Egyptian hieroglyphs, which is fun. Again, not that relevant, but I thought it was neat. The guide is very helpful, thank you! :)

I am honestly not sure I finished the game pretty quick since I knew all the solutions. Take the safe route and close the game entirely if you can. The game will start before the puzzle you were doing if you hadnt finished before turning it off
