Megaman X5 intro with the Japanese intro "Monkey" by Mosquito Milk

This mod replaces the Megaman X5 US intro music with Mosquito Milk's "Monkey" from the Japanese version of the game.

What will this do?

This will replace the intro music for Megaman X5 with the Japanese music from the original Rockman X5. "Monkey" by Mosquito Milk replaces it. The lyrics have been translated and subtitled. Also included is a version with no subtitles.

How can I install this mod?

MAKE SURE YOU HAVE BACKED UP THE ORIGINAL INTRO FILES BEFORE DOING ANYTHING!!!!

First you will need to open the folder where Megaman X Legacy Collection 2 is installed. It will be in the SteamLibrary folder.

For me, the directory is: D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\steamapps\common\Mega Man X Legacy Collection 2\

So from SteamLibrary, open "steamapps"
Then open "steamapps"
Open "Common"
Then open "Megaman X Legacy Collection 2"

Next we will open "Native DX10" folder.
Now we will open the X5 folder, since this is where all the files for Megaman X5 are located at.

Finally, open the "movie" folder. This is where we will install the mod.

Inside the movie folder, you will see this:

The capcom logo, the US intro and the JP intro


Now go to where you downloaded the X5_intro zip archive and open it.
Open the "movie" folder

You will see this:


X5op_JPmusiclyrics.wmv has the Japanese music with lyrics and X5opJP has no lyrics.

You need to rename ONE of these files "X5op_eng.wmv."

Take the newly renamed "X5op_eng.wmv" file and drag it over to the movie folder that contains the capcom intro, the US intro and JP intro.

Overwrite the existing file by clicking "yes."

The mod is now installed. ENJOY!
