The guide for the new Election Day heist.

How to (easily) get through day 1 and the alternatives on Day 2

1- The basics

Election day is a 2 day heist, not 3 contrary to some information available elsewhere.

The confusion may come from the fact the mission on Day 2 depends on the result of Day 1.
If you succeed on Day 1 you will play a specific heist but if you fail you will play a completely different heist on Day 2.

2- Day 1

It can be done either the Stealth way or the Hard Way.

What you need:

Stealth
- Suits
- ECM jammers
- Spotter asset (optional)
- Keycard asset or civilians (optional)

Hard way
- Big armor
- Ammo pack
- Medic pack
- Keycard (optional)

The objectives:

Stealth

You need to "tag" the correct truck with a tracker. It's one of those :

The colors and company names may change but there will be from 3 to 4 colors every time:
Note: On Deathwish difficulty the trucks are hidden by a Cargo ship.


If you fail to tag the right truck, you will play Day 2b. If you tag the right one you will play Day 2a.

Now, to know which truck is the right one you can either go with basic informations and a guess or find the infos on a computer or both.

The quickest and guess method is to find wich color is the proper truck. To do so, first take a look at the trucks, if you can, to know wich colors they are. Next, try to find open containers scattered on the docks and look what's inside the open boxes :

On very rare occasions you will find a box with Vote cards in it (Thanks Kali !)

If there are multiple trucks with the same container color you will have to take a guess or try to get more info from the computer located in one of the 2 hangars on the docks. The keycard asset can be useful if the computer is located upstairs behind a door you can only saw, drill or use a keycard on.

That's what you're looking for :

The Spotter asset will help you navigate through the docks in stealth or you can use the ECMs and run around looking for opened containers.

Once the a truck is tagged, middle of the frame on the side, the escape is available whether it is the right one or not. If you're spotted and the alarm goes off, the trucks will roll out and you'll have to get the infos from the computer the Hard way.


Hard way

To escape you will need to get at least 1 (of the 2) part of informations from the computer shown above. Note that with only half the infos you still have a chance to find the right truck. (Thanks Metrocop !)

The first part takes 5 minute to completely upload, if the power isn't cut by the cops.
(Haven't tried to get the second part yet)

As said before, the Keycard asset can be very useful to gain some time by unlocking doors if the computer is located upstairs. You can also find one on the civilian workers walking around the docks.

If you leave with only half the informations, you will play Day 2b ( day 2a, if you get both must be confirmed ?).

3- Day 2, the alternatives

Now here are the 2 alternatives for day 2, depending on if you tagged the right or the wrong truck.


Right truck

You will start the heist outside a warehouse. It can be done either by stealth or the hard way but if you try to stealth, there are more guards than you can smoothtalk so find the guy in charge of the security cameras get him down and use them to your advantage.


The goal is to get inside, find the crates holding the voting machines, this is what they look like :


They're located on the floor, on the top of the shelves (like above) or in separate compartments:


On Deathwish difficulty, those compartments are covered so you'll have to open them all and take a few guess and you will need to find and use a crowbar to open the crates:



Note that you can find additional keycards in the offices on bottom and top floor.

Once you've located the crates, open them and if you're lucky there will be a voting machine in it. If not, keep looking and open them all. Once you found a machine, start the hacking and wait for the completion. You can open all the crates and have the hack go on at the same time if you want, no need to do them one by one.


Once the hacking is done, close the crate. Once they're all done you'll be asked to erase the security cameras recordings before escaping.

Vote cards but you may see them 1 out of 10 times.

You need to tag the truck with the voting stuff in it, so if you see that Blue containers have Bleach, don't tag a blue one.

Hacking the 2nd time takes about the same time as the first hack (5 minutes) making it a fairly big pain to do, that being said I'd say for only having half the info, your odds of getting the right place are 25-50%, from what I've seen, getting both parts puts it closer to 100.
