How to (Technically) fly in Portal Knights

This will list the closest and most efficient ways to fly in Portal Knights and how to get the necessary ingredients to do so.

Intro

Ok, lets be honest here we have no wings in portal knights. The only real flying you can do is in creative. But you are here for survival mode aren't we?

I have done my best to find ways of flying and i will present them in the most clear way. The methods will be ordered from earliest in the game to latest, so I hope you enjoy my first guide!

Big Supply of Rockets (Fort Finch at earliest)

HOW TO OBTAIN

Find Shelton in an underground cave in Fort Finch and trade with him. There you can buy rockets (Very expensive so look out how much you spend) for 42 gold.

You can also (Later in the game when you have blazing chilli and an altar II) Craft them when you acquire a scroll from the ancient worm (or farm, whatever comes first) where you need 2 flame ruby dust and 5 blazing chilli at an altar II. To be honest, the buying is a lot easier and infinite compared to farming and mining.

HOW TO USE

Hold the rockets in your hand and hold down the use button. You will use one and it will wait until the thrust runs out and then uses another.

OVERALL

Great for vertical loft and legendary paired with wing cape. (See Later in the guide) Use if rich enough because it is cool and efficient.

Lots of lift scrolls (Glimmerglen required)

HOW TO OBTAIN

Like rockets, Lift scrolls are bought from the alchemist in Glimmerglen when you get the books for the
guy. (Or do parkour with 3+ jump height on the front of the castle, either works) They are 10 gold pieces each.

HOW TO USE

Hold them in your hand and use in quick succession. You will fly slowly but surely. This is better for horizontal movement in the air because it doesn't go up too fast but can move better horizontally through the sky. Otherwise use rockets or other things suggested.

OVERALL

It is pretty slow and moving horizontally in the air is not too handy compared to just dirt bridging (Unless you don't want want to have dirt everywhere sticking out like a sore thumb and waiting to be cleared up) Don't use it unless the other options aren't available.

Wing Cape and Mount/Rocket (Endgame [Hollow King Grinding required])

HOW TO OBTAIN

Get Wing cape recipe from Hollow King and craft it with energy crystal, (Get from certain events) Crystal thread (Destroy Wonder Crystals) and Refined Sun Diamonds. (Craft from 2 Sun diamonds) For mount buy one from a merchant or find one in a chest or otherwise and rockets see in the previous parts of the guide.

HOW TO USE

MOUNT COMBO
Ride mount and receive max jump height possible (I think at least) and will get you up most cliffs.

ROCKET COMBO
Use rockets and fly higher than before (This will make the most out of a single rocket for poorer Portal Knights among those who read [Please don't take that as an insult because it is meant as a tip])

OVERALL

MOUNT COMBO
Only for jumping up ledges really so pretty bad in the fly department but it felt like noteworthy.

ROCKET COMBO
If you can, do it like seriously. Its good.

Sum up
