In the area above you can catch all fish including their special variations. Just angle your fishing rod so the bobber hits the wall or sign and falls into the pond. Note that after some testing I dont think the fish rarity in this pond specifically is affected by the golden rod. Enjoy your easy achievement!

haha, to this day it works! Takes a bit to get a new fish sometimes, even with this method but i got them all eventually.

Further support that this still works :P Took a little while to get my last fish, but otherwise it was pretty painless!
