Blitz Crew Skills Overview-Light Skills
By werebear15
A brief overview of both crew skills in general and crew skills specifically trained in light tanks. Unlike WoT PC, which has multiple crews, in Blitz you only have one crew, a Super crew if you will. Since you only have one crew to train it becomes a lot easier with the crew skills. Each class of vehicle in Blitz can train up to 5 crew skills, but not concurrently. This guide will go into the skills trained by light tanks, just as other guides will delve into the skills trained by other classes.

Crew skill foreword
When you research and unlock a Tier 6 vehicle, regardless of class, you will now have two new things to work with, Crew Training and Crew Skills. These are two different things. Crew skills and usage come into effect AFTER reaching 100% training on a vehicle. When you first buy a vehicle at Tier 6 and above you will be presented with a crew training screen.

On this screen you will have 3 choices:
Crew training to 50% for free (this the base level of any crew moving to a new vehicle)

Crew training to 75% for X Silver (this is the first level of paid training for a crew and only time that you can spend Silver to upgrade a crew)

Crew training to 100% for Gold(This is the second and last option to pay for a grew training upgrade, IMO not worth it, save the Gold for something else)

Consider Crew Training as getting familiar with what a vehicle can do. By this point you have been playing the game and generally have an idea what to do, but each time you went to a new vehicle you had to get used to how that vehicle moved. With Crew Training your vehicle will become a little bit better each time they go up a level. (turn faster, aim faster, better accuracy, reload faster, better spotting distance) until the vehicle gets to the stated stats.

Let's take a look at the stats for a Tiger 1 Tier 7 German Heavy tank:

These are the stock stats for this vehicle, without equipment and with 100% trained crew.

Without a fully trained crew the stats of this vehicle will be less than what you see here.
Key stats with 50% 75% crew training

View range 50% 188.4m 75% 214.2m
Reload time 50% 8.43s 75% 7.35s
Aim time 50% 2.85s 75% 2.49s

I hope this has helped you to understand crew training versus crew skills.

One last thing I want to note, on the bottom of the crew skills screen is stated. Masted crew skills are effective for all types of tanks regardless of crew mastery. I can neither affirm nor deny the accuracy of this statement. Once I have a definitive answer from Support about this I will update this information.
Hasty Shot
Hasty Shot

This crew skill gives a X percentage of making an accurate shot when dispersion is 100% more than the minimum value.

Cool, but what does the mean? Well, it applies to movement and making a snap shot. A snap shot is a shot that isn't aimed. In Blitz you have a dispersion circle on your display. (black circle in center of picture)

During any type of movement, (driving, turret traverse, hull traverse, firing, receiving incoming fire) this circle expands and shrinks over time. sitting still and letting this circle get to it's smallest size is an aimed shot. So if you're moving and turning your turret a lot this will stay enlarged. Hasty Shot gives you a X percentage of your shot being accurate. the percentage is depending on what level the skill is.

As you can see here the skill is at level 4 so it gives a 4 percent chance of the shot being accurate.
Breakthrough
Breakthrough

This skill gives you an X percentage to your acceleration if there are at least 2 red (enemy) tanks within 50m of you. This does NOT add horsepower to your vehicle, only a chance to get to higher speed quicker. Acceleration = speed, Horsepower = base movement/climbing. So the higher you have this skill the better chance you have to run away quicker. Which is actually a useful skill in light tanks.

Soft Recoil
Soft Recoil-

In Blitz you will find some vehicles that are magazine fed, which means the they hold more than one shot ready to be fired. Some examples are the American T-71, Russian MT-25, French AMX 1390. These vehicles, while they are magazine fed must wait for the dispersion to lower enough for an effective shot. This skill reduces the amount of recoil that happens to enable these vehicles to make their next shots as accurate as possible. Without the need to wait as long as other magazine fed vehicles, the person with this skill at an elevated level will be able to enjoy more accurate fire than someone that hasn't upgraded this skill.

Precision Fire
Precision Fire

If you happen to make 3 damaging shots in a row, this skill gives you an X percentage to make a shot dealing maximum damage on the next shot. So, say your shots cause between 250 and 325 damage. With this skill, after making 3 damage causing shot in a row, then your next shot has an X percentage of doing 325 damage. The reason I keep saying damage causing shots is because you can hit a red tank and not damage it. Bounce a shot, hit it in the tracks or the gun, or just completely wiff that shot and also the world famous Blitz "ghost shot" all will break the 3 shot series.

Fast Capture
Fast Capture.

When capturing a cap circle speed is of the essence, so obviously you want to do that as quickly as possible. That's what this skill does. Higher levels means fast captures, and if you are capturing with an ally that has this skill also it adds an additional 10% to the speed.
