Increased Road Speed Limit

Description
Tired of too low road speed limit at certain cities and states? Think of your semi shouldn't crawling like turtle at weigh stations? Your delivery job get hours late and the city roads slowing you down?

Increased Road Speed Limit mod increase the road speed limits in the game, allow you to push your truck speed even further along the way. With this mod, you get flat 40 MPH (64 KPH) speed limits in the city and around 80-90 MPH (128-145 KPH) out of the town. At certain places such as Weigh Station and slower speed areas you get flat 30 MPH (48 KPH) speed limits.

Note:
When enabling this mod or get a mod update, initial game loading will takes longer than usual to update road caches. This is normal.

Starting from game version1.49, the speed limit for Special Transports (requires Special Transport DLC) was also increased. Instead of 40 MPH, a maximum limit of 65 MPH is now permitted unless restricted by lower speeds indicated by speed limit signs. Because the front escort vehicle can slow down or stop suddenly, it is highly recommended that you speed up your truck to the maximum only on freeways.

Known Limitations
  • Since game version 1.40, static/editable speed limit road signs are begin scattered all over the recent map DLCs. This is causing the speed limit indicated by Route Advisor and road signs may not always identical. The speed limit indicated by Route Advisor is, however, always superseed the road sign indicators. See "Speed Limit Differences" section below.
  • Your truck speed may limited if you activate Speed Limiter in settings.
  • Your truck speed may limited if you deliver World of Trucks contract (Max. 65 MPH).

Speed Limit Differences
The list below are the differences may occur on speed limit shown by road signs and actual speed limit indicated in Route Advisor. As a hint, an incorrect speed limit road sign appeared in old-dirty look board. Applies starting from game version 1.44.

  • 65 MPH -> 75 MPH
  • 70 MPH -> 80 MPH
  • 75 MPH -> 85 MPH
  • 80 MPH -> 90 MPH

Known Issues

If you use it when driving VTLog, your job will be canceled after completing it. It is a forbidden mod in that Log!!

I like the idea of higher speeds for weight stations, as it's weigh-in-motion IRL unless they flag you to go park for a DOT inspection. It's usually 15-20 through scales, not 30.
