While Still in Beta this game supports a unique non exp approach with an old style turn based rpg feel and we will be covering all we can in this guide. Please understand this guide is a work in progress and my first guide.

Please Note that any section with a ~ mark in front of it is a WIP. Please note that while trying to be 100% accurate with the guide even I make mistakes if you find one please hop into the discord listed here and let me know.

Also Note: All recommended relics and party options are recommendations I used at the time they are far from perfect but they do make a great start for most people.

Glossary
Particles
Particles are the most basic currency in the game you use them to buy items from the vending machines, Upgrade your town which in term upgrades your characters and power your Time Break Techs in battle to give you an edge. Particles are gained from traveling between nodes, battles, and events.



Missions
Are made up of a grid the length of a grid like interface by a randomly generated seed growing in difficulty as you go into higher Endless Loop.

Endless Loops - The set number of difficulty of the current mission you are running. 1 being default normal difficulty. As you go higher in numbers the enemies, drops, particles, and distortions all increase.

Distortions - A Random effect that happens that can be either negative or positive effecting all or an independent member of the party or the enemy party.

Mission Success - You return to town with all particles, relics, and skill books acquired during the mission.

Mission Semi-Success - After beating the first boss or running into an npc named Grey with a crystal with him. You can get the option to return early from the mission by doing so you lose a small part of your particles but keep your relics and skill books.

Mission Failure - You lose all your particles but keep all your relics and skill books.

Time Break Techs - Special Skills you get to help in battle please see Time Break Techs Section for Full Skill breakdown.

Stamina - Is one of the most vital things Claire the main character will always have 100% stamina but as the rest of your characters lose stamina as they travel through the nodes in the mission they will weaken come 0% stamina they will only have 5% of their normal stats. This can be recovered by Camping which recovers a set amount of stamina, items, or events.

Bleed Out - When a character is knocked down most have a 3 countdown once they hit 0 and their turn comes one last time if the battle is not won or they are revived they will be downed.

Downed - Once a character has bleed out or because of special distortion or skill they become downed... Downed characters are removed from the mission completely but can be called back via a reinforcement event.

Hero Rescue - Sometimes you just need to save the day as you go through the mission nodes you will come across a hero rescue. Upon entering you are normally one of several things may happen to recruit the new character. Either you will have to use a special item or fight some enemies to rescue and recruit them perm to your team. You can even decide if you want to add them to your mission now or send them back to town.

Reinforcement Crystals - Aka Confluence Crystals Reinforcement is the event with the purple crystal it selects 3 characters at random and you pick one to come join your team you can also decide not to summon anyone. Either way you get some particles

Skills - Skills are special abilities all characters have please see the characters session for a break down of each characters skills. Please note all characters skills start out at level one and can be increased via skill books gotten from fights, events, or vending machines.

Relics - Relics are similar to skills in some ways all characters can equip 4 relics. Equiping a new relic is the act of Binding to them once bound you can unequip it and equip another relic but the bound relic is forever linked to that one character. Relics are unlocked by Completing quests for that character.

Character Quests



Every Character and all of Claire's forms has different quests and objectives to earn skill points. Beating Bosses with the character in your party earns you a Boss Badge which goes towards some bonuses with the town as well. Then each hero has their own specific quests that must be completed for more skill points and to unlock the crafting of their relics.

Attributes
Attributes aka Stats: - Determine the Strength and weakness of a character or enemy. Many things can effect these Stats. Enemies, Allies, Skills, Relics, Distortions... the works.



HP - How many hits you can survive till you are downed to a bleedout state

MP - Determines how many skills you can use please note skills mp cost is % based on your mp total and it affects the skills power as well the higher the mp cost the more power and accuracy behind it

Stamina - How long you can last till your character tires out. Please note as your stamina falls so does all your states till 0% stamina equals 5% of base stats left.

Power - Determines melee attacks damage.

Toughness - Reduces damage taken from Melee, Poison, and Sound Attacks while giving partial reduction to damage from Fire, Frost, and Lightning attacks.

Endurance - Determines a character's max health.

Focus - Determines your non-melee attacks such as spells and utilities.

Discipline - Reduces damage from Holy, Dark, and Non elemental attacks while providing partial reduction to damage from Fire, Frost, and Lightning Attacks

Wisdom - Determines your Maximum MP

Speed - How fast and often you can act in battle.

Agility - Increases your chance to dodge and reduces the chance of being critically hit

Technique - Increase your chance to hit with attacks and to crit hit.

Types
There are many types of damage, skills, and enemies.

Damage/Skills Types

Attack - Offensive Skill that tends to do damage if not other effects.

Physical/Melee - Basic Melee Attack

Ranged- Ranged Physical Attack

Bash - Base Physical Damage

Poison - Often Damage over time attack. Mechanical targets are immune to this

Sonic - Sound based attacks that usually can not miss.

Stun - Most of the time a melee type attack but also reduces the target's turn progress.

Spell/Magic - Magical Skill can be support, offensive, or defensive

Fire - Fire attack that deals 25% more damage to undead or cold targets

Frost/Ice - Cold type attack usually has some other effect on it based on it's skill

Lightning - Shock Attack does double damage to mechanical enemies or allies.

Holy - Divine attack deals 50% more damage to undead

Dark - Used often by enemy cultist

Energy/Nonelemental - Mostly futurist weapons good example being claire's laser pistol

MP - Deals mp damage over hp damage or Heals Mp to allow more use of skills

Healing - Recovers Health

Buff - Bolster char's/enemies stats

Debuff - Damage enemies or allies stats.

Passive - Innate Traits and passive abilities

Redirect- To guard or protect a character

Aspect - Nature skills of certain characters

Booze - Let's get drunk skills!

Gadgets - Tech skills

Song - Battle hymns that effect the entire party

Stance - Fighting forms used by certain characters

Summon - Summon a pet of character into the character's summon slot. Please note only one summon slot per character.

Sleep - Damages putting the unit to sleep. The hgher the wisdom the longer it takes them to fall asleep. Taking damage reduces the sleep duration as well as turns.

Piercing is the ability to bypass the enemies toughness and/or discipline aka thier defenses
Ally and Enemy Types
Allies are broken down into 3 categories

Historical Era - Are past characters where tech was nonexistent. Thus they relied on weapons, skills, magic, and nature of things.

Modern Era - Modern day characters has access to guns, some tech and armor from our modern time. Magic and nature skills are pretty much nonexistent

Future Era - Future characters using space age highly advanced tech.


Enemies on the other hand are broken down into 5 groups

Humans - These are quite versatile but doesn't have a best or worst area really.

Beasts - Animals and monsters that become more dangerous increasing their power and speed when they hit critical levels of health.

Mechanical - Droids, robots, mechs and the such. Mechanical are immune to poison damage but take double damage from lightning attacks

Undead - Zombies, Ghosts, and the such these enemies can't bleed out and can often revive a few times. Fire damage does increased damage against them but Holy does even better.

Bosses - These creatures come in many forms some accompanied by underlings that are powered up by the boss. Bosses all have a pattern to them it's just a matter of learning them but one trip up can mean disaster to the whole team.
Time Break Techs
Time Break Techs - Special skills unlocked as you go along the way. After each use the cost is increased by 50% to use the tech again during the mission. Some time distortions can help reduce the cost or on a rare occasion make it free use. Claire also has a skill that allows her to use one tech free per battle.



Haste - Give one ally an immediate turn and increases their speed by +100 for 5 Turns

Stasis - Reduces enemies speed and agility to zero until your next turn. Is not very effective against bosses.

Scan - All enemies' Hp, Mp, and Attributes become visible in the status menu (Does not effect Bosses)

Rewind - Restores 50% of the target ally's missing HP and MP, reviving them if they are in a bleed out state

Metabolism - All allies regen 15% of their Max Hp for 3 turns.

Unravel - All Bleeding out Enemies are removed from battle. (Prevents the enemy from reviving them VERY useful when against a healer or undead)

Decay - Removed all Positive Dispellable effects from the enemies.

Prevent - Dispel's all negative Debuffs on you and your allies added 1 resist as well.
Chronicle Mode Walk through
Act 1: Wasteland - Recon: Multiplying Life Signs
At this time you Don't have much available so we start off basic. You will be focused with just doing basic damage. Mostly focus in aoeing till you get the enemy numbers down. Remeber to cast Blessing I recommend on either Zane or Iana then just have Lydia Pray and you should be fine for the most part. Save your Tools pack for recruiting just in case and try to avoid Elite groups for this run There is only 8 nodes between you and the boss with one being a campfire guranteed leads only 7 to deal with.

Boss Broodmother - The Brood mother summons eggs that hatch spiderlings you want to focus on her alone. Have Lydia bless Iana then her eagle eye then pincushion over and over again. Meanwhile Zane will Flamejet the middle as your front line will more then likely take a more defensive posture. You should win easily awarding +2 skill points for all.

Act 1: Wasteland - Recon: Large Anomaly
Alright everyone should have 2 skill points at least expect Lydia and Iana. Lydia should have 6 points having completed her 2 quests easily and Iana should be at 4. Only expection is Zeke cause we didn't use him. You should have gained 1-2 new heroes but with them being random the guide will stick to the Regular set. Once you Spend your skill points your town should be level 2 which gives Claire 3 more Skill points. Also we have the Priestess Garb Unlocked for everyone so toss it all on them with the Spiderling Egg to Claire for now. You also should have 1-2 extra relics you picked up but they are random so you have to decide from there on them. Lastly you should have at least 400 particles. So we are going to use them to play it a bit safer for us. So Pickup Storage Space - Small Closet from the Inn upgrades and Winery - Small Winery from the Temple. That will run you 300 Particles and we are ready to go into the next part. This is the same number of nodes as last time 8 with one being a campfire. For now I recommend avoiding elites atm.

Boss Giant Blob - Has 2 phases the first one is a large blob. It can smash and grab one your people and if you don't deal enough damage it can kill them. It's a pretty straight forward fight. Put Blessing on Iana. Have Iana Eagle Eye and pincushion. Zane melt Armor. Wensho trance then fury. Claire will punch and leon will guard stick. Lydia will keep praying as usual and don't use any specials or anything beyond that and phase 1 will be easy.

Phase 2: About 2/3rds down the giant blob will split into 4 smaller blobs. This is when the real fight starts. Have Claire put up reflect shield. lydia will keep healing. You want Zane to Fire Blast for the most part try to knock out the two Med blobs first and foremost. They will be the pain. You should have leon's joust avaiable to strike the middle otherwise shield bash with him. Wensho will whirlwind. Iana will split arrow. Till you get rid of the front row The Red and Green Blobs can grab like the big one does. You should have picked up a few Dist bombs and drones. It's a good time to use them. Front row units are best for using items atm cause your back row will be striking multiple targets. Dark blob is a bit annoying cause he can damage mp but to be honest not to worry about Red and Green blobs come first. You should kill the blue blob as aoe the other two easily.

Once the Green and Red Blobs are downed they will burst into a small blob and spike blob. Spike blob is dangerous to melee attacks cause it's like a thorns blobs. The Red Blob will do an aoe burn when it dies so we will save it for last. Now if rng is not on your side you may lose 1 or 2 heroes but thats why we have wine and more then likely picked up a medical drone or two on the way. The fight should be straight forward from here and easy to finish with your default time.

Act 1: Wasteland - Recon: Caustic Acid Trails
Alright the last recon for Act 1. You should have completed at least Fire starter quest for Zane, a Good chance of having both Chivalrous Duty and Strike True from Leon at least giving them more skill points and unlocking infinite of Leon's Sword relic which is good for front row units. So we are going to stick with the same default party again. You should have 3/15 heroes unlocks by now at least. Remeber to save your encyclopedias for later heroes for now focus on only using your skill points. This should get you to Town Progress lvl 2 which unlocks Rewind Time Break Tech. It restores hp and mp and can revive a downed hero. Now you should have about 400 particles which will use to get Storage Space - Large Pantry this will unlock Item Pack 3 for us Giving us more options for support. Now we are going to the Bomb Pack for additional support. Now we have the usual 8 nodes to go for the boss. Plan your route it and you should get at least 1 more hero unlocked putting us a 4 heroes at least of the 15 from Act 1 not including the random wanderers that can be in any act. Beastragers are pretty common in this recon they should always be your first target since they can buff/free turn and summon more beast monsters for you to fight. A good time as well to have wensho trance and then defend to get his peaceful spirit quest done for one fight

Boss: Vemon Queen - She comes with two spiderlings and two beastragers. The beastragers need to go first they will power up the vemon queen and give her free turns after that start burning down the vemon queen. So we are going to do blessing on Iana again then have Lydia pray. Iana will be eagle eye then pincushioning. Claire will reflect shield to counter some of the vemon queen's spray she will be doing then have her power fist. Zane will melt armor then vemon queen then focus on flame jetting the beastrages. Leon we want to shield bash the vemon queen till he is out of mp then guard strike. Wensho after he trances he wil focus on frost kicking then flurrying the vemon queen. his and leon's objective is to help slow her down while you get rid of the adds. Now the amount of stun that you deal to a boss is reduced but every bit counts and you should be able to push back her to give you 1-2 turns at most extra total. Don't be afaird to cast Stasis here at this point with either leon or wensho. Once the adds are down go all out on the Vemon Queen. If you lose anyone wine them and if you want to down the adds faster have leon and wensho throw bombs instead this is why we brought them. It should be an easy and straight forward fight.

Act 1: Wasteland - Hunting Mission
Now here comes the big mission for Act 1 to finish it and get some story progress. The Hunting Mission! Unlike before we only should have about 350 particles if you used Time Break Techs. We will be using this over at the Temple. Relic Enchanting, Enchanting Table and Soul Orb this will allow us to craft and break down Relics. Back out of the menu and go back in to get it back and you will have access to all the relics you haven't got to infinite yet. You should have 200 Soul Gems, Our first big one is Zane's Passion for Lydia so make one of them for 100 then Knight Training which is one of Leon's relics for Wensho. Plus we unlocked Wensho's Gift perm for everyone. With Priests Robe and Wensho's Gift everyone that has both has a 35% more powerful mediate skill. So instead of restoring 15% max hp and mp we will be healing 20% this will be very useful later on.

Now unlike the run before we will be swapping the Bomb Pack to the Stimulant Pack cause this will be a much longer path we have 16 nodes this time. 2 campfires, 1 boss from recon and the hunting boss. the 1 boss from recon can be any of the three. You should be able to get 2-3 heroes easily from this. Plan out your route you still want to avoid extreme fights for now till you are in a better position. Do not be afraid to use a few time breaks between here and the hunting boss. Now unlike before in the longer missions like this Distortions play a bigger role here. So if your first one isn't something you like don't be afaird to abandon and rego in till you get one you like top begin with.

Now after the first boss if you are in really bad shape which you shouldn't be you do have the option to return to town once it's defeated. But we will be keeping on going. During this trip we should easily get Zane's Furious Flames and Claire's Back At You quests done.If you are filling really frisky use this time to grab Claiure's Shape Shifter as well. Once you hit the 2nd campfire your team will feel pretty weak. camp out to get them up and use any stamina recovering items like the stim pack we brought with us to get them back into fighting spirit. You should be in decent shape for the next bit then. The last boss has some story continuing from the tutorial but we will skip that in the guide for you to enjoy.

Boss: Twin Heads Twin heads comes with 2 invokers and an Avatar... this fight will be difficult. Avatar can summon others also can cast big spells. and the Invokers have dark bargain which raises them from a downed state one time. So they are your first concern feel free to blow your particles like crazy on stasis some here but leave some for rewind as well. Twin Heads starts asleep atm. But he have protect auto on the 3 units with him so here we go. We will start with a usual Lydia will be blessing Iana. And then praying mostly. Iana will be focusing on Split Arrow now. We want to get those debuffs on everyone and the poison. Zane will Fire Blast mostly till it's just Twin Head. Wensho will Trance and either Fire Fist or Flurry one of the Invokers to begin with. Claire we want to have reflect shield up cause it can bounce back some of the damage of the avatar. And Leon will be using items and time break techs for us.

Twin Heads Awakens! After a few turns the boss wakes up and instantly Gamma Waves everyone for poison damage. This is when it gets rough. The boss can wallop you swaping your front and back row which isn't good for our team or gamma wave which deals aoe poison damage. and dots you. As you attack him physically he backhands hitting your whole front row. So to be honest don't expect to leave with any particles if you want to survive this fight with everyone. Even then it will be a tough fight to keep everyone alive and not downed for the entire fight. Claire in her armor form will be your all star this fight. Thanks to the reflect shield. Even for me I had some bad rng and lost everyone but Wensho and Claire for the fight. Keep Power fisting with claire and have wensho alternate between fire fist and flurry. Twin Heads will fall and the battle will be won with some more story.

Act 2: Frozen Tundra - Recon: Very Dense Stone
Congrats on making it to Act 2 and unlocking Special Missions and Claire's Frozen Form. You should at least have 5 -7 Heroes from Act 1 unlocked. And Since I know like this Recon while I recommend going back and collecting the Act 1 heroes and work on the wanderer heroes you want to keep going so we will use what we got and keep going! And sense there is no way to tell what you will have hero wise since act 1 will be random we will keep using our team here. Now even with our huge particle drain from the hunting mission we should have about 300 particles from completing it all. But we are going to hold on to that for now. This act we will be breaking out Zeke and starting to up Claire's Form Unlike Claire's other forms her Frozen form has 3 skill slots it can change. Now by now you should have a variety of relics for claires. If you have it which is a good chance. I recommend the following, plus we will be using a lot of Encyclopedias we have saved up as well. This will get you to town level 3 and get Claire 3 more skill points.We will be sticking with Claire's Armor form as usual for this act.

Now for Recons like act 1 there is only 8 nodes here with 1 being a campfire so you should get 1 hero a run. We will be adjusting our fighting style from act 1 to act 2 now. Frozen enemies are common here so we want to make use of our gamma wave and vemon spray a lot the only annoyance you should find with this setup some is the annihilators cause they are classifed as mechs but reflect shield works wonderfully on them. But during this is a great time to get Zane's last quest Raging Inferno done as well as Animal Justice as well for Iana. Now after you hit the campfire and rest use your stim pack then tranform Claire to her frozen form for this boss fight. If you do it in the fight you wont get your snow drone and be stuck with the spiderling through tbh thats not a bad choice for this fight either if you forget.


Boss: Rock Beast He is a beast of a boss. Luckily all that poison we added onto our setup comes in effect here. As usual with Lydia, blessing Iana and then pray. Iana will be eagle eyeing and pincushioning. Zane will alternate between melt armor and flame jet. Wensho will Trance then Vemon Splay. Zeke will Gamma Wave while Claire will attack with Icicle and keep snow drone up as much as possible. the downside in this fight is Rock beast loves to tremor which rotates your grouping of your people and can stun a few. Tremor is his main attack unless a hero is bleeding out then he will pulvisor them to put them in a full downed state and out of the fight. Only other attack is crush which is a hard hitting + target hit area. It will knock out your weaker units. so Make sure to keep healed between lydia praying and wensho using charka as needed you should be fine. This is also why we keep mediate on most heroes in case of emergency. You might lose 1 or 2 heroes here but that's ok we are in good shape overall. It will be a pretty straight forward fight.

Act 2: Frozen Tundra - Recon: Energy Vortex
So first off we will up everyone and also get Snack Bar from the Kitchen at the Inn. This will give us a bit extra stamina. Now we dive in with our usual team. We have 8 nodes as usual with one being a camp so go after your hero recruit should be able to grab one at least. During this time we will be knocking out the quest one with nature for wensho by dealing 1000 fire, frost, and electric damage throughout all your fights. Make sure to not use any bombs or time breaks we will need them for the boss fight.

Boss: Spirit Well - This boss pops up with will-o-wisp and a reaper... the reaper is your first target. then the spirit well. the spirit well will keep spawning and draining will of the wisp so ignore them atm. We start with a statis to slow them down then focus fire lydia will bless iana then pray. zane well melt armor. iana will eagle eye and pincushion. The reaper will finish off any bleeding out units so make sure to raise them fast. bombs work great if you want to wipe out the trash mobs fast just be a lot of focus damage to begin with on you. Now once you get past them in a few turns the spirit well ends up spamming deathly wind a major aoe cold attack that does a lot of damage so dont hold back. This is a great time to use the bombs here cause they will stun him a little and deal decent damage. Revive as you can but be careful about healing cause some will get transfered into the spirit well. Keep at it and he will fall after a bit.

Act 2: Frozen Tundra - Recon: Reflected Scans
This will honestly be one the hardest bosses you will fight so here we go in prep. With this past recon finished you should unlock town level 4 and the prevent time break. We will be holding onto our particles for the time being. We will be finishing Lydia's, Wensho's, and Zane's skills completely done you will notice a small gold star by them on the hero list now showing their skills are all maxed out now. We will be saving claire's skill points again. If you haven't finished it yet you should be done with Iana's Rapid Fire quest to finish off her personal quests. The only new enemy you should watch out for is Sappers. When they reach 0 on the countdown they explode and deal massive damage to one of your heroes.

Boss - Mirror - What bites about this fight is the mirror will make clones of everyone but claire in your party... bomb and aoe them a lot cause if the mirror gets a turn it will wipe out the unit and that unit will link wipe out your hero it is a copy of. The copies have a skill called etheral which makes them immune to damage till they get a first turn. After the first turn make sure to stasis them and go at it. Iana comes up first have her eagle eye then pincushion the mirror. by the time lydia gets a turn the scans should be damageable now. If the Mirror gets a turn it hits with shattered reality it takes out a scan and puts the hero of the copy into a bleedout state so try to avoid it if at all possible. one or two hits isn't bad we have wine for that.

Phase 2 happens after the mirror runs out of scans it hits you with void blast a dark aoe attack that shuffles your formation. It doesn't hit very hard so it's easy to deal with just keep wailing on the boss he goes down easy once you get to this phase.

Act 2: Frozen Tundra - Hunting Mission
Not much to do with statsis and such you are more then likely in the 650-750 particle range so we will hold onto that for now. We will be finishing up Iana's Skills this time and in this next set is our long mission if you haven't already try to complete Zeke's Cream of the Crop for 2 skill points. This is a 16 noder with two camps and a mini boss. You should be able to get two heroes if you plan your route right. If you are having a really hard time with this boss keep an eye on the vending machine for a bundle item called Celestial Call. If used on Zane he gets Meteor Storm for one mission it tears through the Living Snow phases fast just keep all the snacks you can for him.

Boss - Living Snow 3 Phase boss made of pure ice
Phase 1 - Living Snow and two hands. Focus on the hands burn them down as fast as you can. The Boss will freeze your heroes randomly. It's pretty straight forward.
Phase 2 - Icy Thralls appear and Living Snow becomes invuerable. Icy Thralls are kinda of like zombies made of ice. Living snow will Snow Storm which is like blizzard, while you beat the thralls down. The Snow Storm will really hurt and people will be put into bleed out more then likely revive them before they are downed but aoe the icy thralls as much as you can. Any bombs you have will be great right now or wait intill phase 3 to use them. You might find this harder then the mirror fight at this point.
Phase 3 It all comes together. two icy hands, and 3 icy barriers with the living snow... burn burn burn as much and as fast as you can. It will be rough after the second fight but once you get through it. It will die and you will unlock Act 3 and inscriber form!

Act 3: Woodlands - Recon: Fungal Colony
Congrats you have reached Act 3 and unlocked Claire's Inscriber Form. By this point I'd recommend going back and grinding out grabbing all the heroes up to this point but if you are in a rush. Also at this point you have a lot of skill points to max out Claire's Inscribe form right away and your main party will be maxed out so we won't go into them now instead we will focus on bundles and Claire's setup and form. Now by now you should have came across a Sol's Gem and Mercury's Caduceus which will be important for this form for Claire and unlocked your 4th Item Pack.

So new area. Welcome to plant paradise, and what do plants hate... that's right Fire.. time to burn them lots. Per usual you should be able to get one hero per Recon. We are looking for a specific hero known as the Druid for Claire to get a skill called Moonbeam. Only big issues with Plants is the pollen is quite heavy causing different effects to you. Pods are the worse hitting you with Pollen. The Man Trap will swap your front and back row people. The Sun Seeker can heal every turn but when it gets weaker it starts sun's raging and that hurts so you want to burn it quick.

Boss: King Shroom - King Shroom comes with three regular shrooms to be honest the only annoying thing about this fight is the sleep damage you get to put your people to sleep and he respawns his shrooms when all 3 die out but thats easy to deal with. So you should easily burn through it with your team as it is. If by chance the fight drags out to long just transform claire to armor form for a while as her mp refills before going back to inscriber. Coffee really helps dealing with sleep should pick up a few while fighting through the area.

Act 3: Woodlands - Recon: Underwater Tremors
To be honest we have no real skills to up and not going to change any relics or skills, the form we are going with is Inscriber. So this will be pretty straight forward Recon like any other.

Boss: The Kraken The Kraken dislikes lightning here so Claire's Shock will be great especally if you do the double glyph with it. It has tentacles that will keep respawning for a while so just aoe like crazy as you focus on the main body. Lydia's blessing should be on Claire full time now. Zane will Fire Blast, Iana will Split Arrow, Lydia is curing. Claire we won't focused on the kraken. and Zeke will be on the tentacles toss in some gamma wave from him and vemon spray from wensho... This fight is easy the most annoying part is the tentacle wallop it swaps the front and back row of a single pair's places. The Boss himself only really does a tentacle summon and an annoying stun roar.

FYI: For those who want to just burn the kraken he has a buff called tentacle shield so each living tentacle reduces damage on him.
Act 3: Woodlands - Recon: Heavy Deforestation
So same as previously we just go in kick some butt and onto the boss of the last recon.

Boss: Shredder - So he comes with 3 helpers your first thing is to take them out fast starting with the technician then working your way around. Unlike the other bosses shredder is a power house when it comes to damage. So we have to be careful. In this battle our formation will be swapped arround a lot so no point of worrying about it. First off we want to switch Claire from Inscribe to Armor form. Her Reflect shield is going to be a big key for the adds damage. Have your first person up if it's not claire use haste on her so she can get it up right away. Lydia will blessing her for now and later in the fight. Make sure every turn you hit that back row with taunt from zeke this will cut down on the damage a lot with them taunted. Wensho has charka which we will be using as a backup healing for this fight. so Zen trance and keep an eye on your health closely. anything close to half health is unacceptable in this fight cause of the heavy damage. Even then he might one shot some of your people.

Once you have the adds down this fight gets a lot easier cause while the shredder hits hard he lacks defensives and health which makes him easy to bring down without his help bringing us to the end of the 3rd recon and ready for the act 3 hunt.
Act 3: Woodlands - Hunting Mission
So Hunting Mission Act 3 we want to make sure we hit the recruit nodes and reinforcement nodes just to use them to leave the main team with plenty of stamina for the boss fight here. We get some nice story here in this mission as well.

Boss: ForestHeart - Phase 1. ForestHeart and 2 Shrooms. The shrooms can't be downed so ignore them. You will get hit with Chaos Spores right off the bat so first chance you get use the Time Break Prevent. To clean them up and get back in action then focus on burning the boss. The boss has nestled which reduces a tone of damage to begin with so it will feel slow but keep at it. The boss won't do to much besides basic attacks

Phase 2. You've broken through nestled now you have to worry about thorns. Avoid melee attacks on his at all cost it will hurt if you do on him. spells and ranged. When the boss gets a chance during this phase he will summon 2 Valeriya's like the shrooms they cant be killed but a good time for wensho to use vemon spray and zeke to use gamma wave debuff them so they are less of an annoyance to you. Sadly when the 2 Valeriya's are summoned he gets nestled back. About this time you will want to Time Break Prevent again.

Phase 3: This is when the fun really starts the core is exposed now. We can finally start doing major damage to him. First chance the boss gets he will summon our last annoyance to deal with a Man Trap when he does he heals some and goes back into Nestled for one last time. It's a good time for another Time Break Prevent shouldn't need anymore after this. After you break through Nestled should be an easy burn to finish him off and with that we have finished Act 3.
Act 1 Events
Hidden Cave - Using a Hide/Ambush/Stealth Field or similar skill can find either random items or assassin fight when exploring

Ravine Wall - Using a D Bomb can blow a hole in the wall for a loot chest of random items.

Stairway Temporal Anchor - No Fight, just loot free relics

Open Area Temporal Anchor - Fight, win get some free relics. or leave and move on.

Walkway Box - Power up walkway with a Power Core and get a box of random items.

Spacial Distortion - 12 Particles lets you pick between 3 distortions, 10 particles to remove a distortions, 3 particles for 1 random distortion, or leave.

Mystery Building - Stamina Pod inside will either heal stamina for one char or damage it severely if you choose to use it.

Ex-Cultist Hideout - Give Medicine in exchange for particles up to 3 medicines or move on... amount of particles obtained increased the higher loop you are in.

Lightning Rod - Straight forward fight beat up the mechs as every other round the machine shocks everyone. Once beaten you get the lightning rod relic and a few others items.

Open Area Portal - Go through randomly teleported somewhere nearby on the map

Bridge Portal - Place a power core to bring up the bridge. Cross it and a portal awaits you.

Open Area Chest - Chest that May or may not be trapped. Can leave and move on.
Act 2 Events
Undead Obelisk - Fight Cultist that turn into zombies when downed... then fight those zombies in an extended battle. Obelisk will debuff you and drain mp as the battle goes on.

Spacial Distortion - 12 Particles lets you pick between 3 distortions, 10 particles to remove a distortions, 3 particles for 1 random distortion, or leave.

Bridge Chest - Power core required to start up the bridge then walk across untrapped treasure chest full of loot

Open Area Temporal Anchor - Fight, win get some free relics. or leave and move on.

Frozen Sapper Drone - Chance to salvage some relics or might have to fight a group of drones. You can always choose to leave and move on.

Open Area Chest - Chest that May or may not be trapped. Can leave and move on.

Open Area Portal - Go through randomly teleported somewhere nearby on the map

Open Area Campgrounds - Camp and restore 20% Stamina exchange for -15% Particles. Or Leave
Act 3 Events
Events are mostly a mixture of events from Act 1 and Act 2 just Forest themed.
Special Missions
Special Missions are Short missions with battle nodes and a hero recruitment node, to rescue a wandering hero. To be honest take a stealth pack with you and you can bypass 2 of the battle nodes and go straight into the hero rescue node.

The Inn:
For Reviewing all the heroes, Seeing Quests, also includes a Vending machine you can purchase stuff from with particles. It can be forced restocked several times using particles.

Upgrades -
Kitchen - Gives Additional Stamina and an extra hero reserve slot.
Bar - Gives more exp plus +1 Wisdom and Endurance for each Boss Badge you get.
Brewery - Unlocks stamina recovery item packs for your trip.
Musician's Space - Increases the overall damage and capability of Sonic skills.
Gym - Ups the base Power, Agility, and Discipline stats slightly for all heroes.
Pet Housing - Increases Power, Technique and Turn speed of non-human summons based on how many Boss Badge their Summoner has.
Storage Space - Ability to bring more Item Mission packs with you.


The Library:
Ability to rebind skills books to a different kind of skill book, Hall of records to keep track of all your game stats as well.

Upgrades -
Training Library - Bonus Skill points and Exp given to heroes.
Bestiary - Increases Hit and Crit chance as well as critical damage against beast enemies.
Medical Library - Reduces Mp cost of Healing skills also increases limited use skills for mechanical, healing, and buff by +1, and gives Buff skills a 25% chance to add 1 Resist as well.
Martial Library - Increases Hit and Crit chance as well as critical damage against humanoid enemies while using melee skills.
Toxicology Library - Increases damage of poison skills, while debuffing, their endurance and allowing you to damage mechanical enemies directly slightly.
Apothecary Library - Restorative effects of snacks and medicine are increased, Coffee's effect lasts additional turns and snacks will now also restore a small amount of stamina.


The Temple
Viewing your spare Relics as well as crafting Relics, Also opening Geodes obtained from Singularity mode for rewards.

Upgrades -
Relic Enchanting - Enables relic crafting and the ability to gain soul gems.
Holy Worship - Increases Holy skills healing, Reduces damage from the undead and increases damage against cultist enemies
Pagan Worship - Increases Fire based dot, Lightning damage now also deals stun damage to mechanical enemies, and Frost damage pierces enemies defenses.
Ancient Rituals - Dark Skills have reduced mp cost, and deal more mp damage against humanoid targets as well of increases overall damage against enemies with critical hp.
Meditation Room - Magic skills have reduced mp, while also increases their hit and critical hit chances.
Winery - Unlocks wine item bundles, increases the amount they you can carry and grants a free turn if you revive someone with it.


The Forge
One of three basic upgrade facilities that have a special infinite upgrade booster for your heroes.

Upgrades -
Tinkerer's Shop - Increases Tool skills damage while giving a chance to regain a use of a limited tool skill. Also allows you to bring an additional item bundle on missions.
Toolsmithing - Stun damage has an increases critical hit chance from melee skills. Enemies hit with stun damage have a chance to debuff their wisdom. Upon a critical hit stun damage deals sleeping damage as well.
Bladesmithing - Melee dots have increased duration, debuffs the enemies power and on critical hit deals more damage.
Armorsmithing - All heroes have increased toughness. Allies in the front row take less stun damage from melee attacks. Allies in the back have a higher chance to avoid melee critical hits.
Gunsmithing - Ranged attack skills increase chance to hit based on row and gain random decreased turn delay after use.
Special Upgrade - Metallurgy Research - All Heroes gain +1 Power, Toughness, and Endurance. Cost jumps everytime it is acquired. Infinite upgrades available.


Nano Forge
One of three basic upgrade facilities that have a special infinite upgrade booster for your heroes.

Upgrades -
Nanite Dispenser - Plant enemies lose photosynthesis passive for several turns when hit with Frost Damage, Beast allies gain more Speed and power from Beast's Rage, All Mp regeneration is increased.
Advanced Drone AI - All drones have 50% more base attributes, Medical and Shield Drones gain more speed when an ally is at critical as well Shield drones now target critical hp allies first. Volatile Drones no longer use the basic shoot and explode for more damage.
Armor Fabrication - Allies using energy damage restore some Mp, All heroes gain more speed, and heroes in the front row gain a small amount of turn progress when hit with a critical melee attack.
Energy Weapons - Energy damage dealt restores some Mp, while debuffing the enemies Tech stat. Also increases energy damage based on your remaining mp.
Future Medicines - Unlocks nano-meds that can heals and dispells debuffs while placing a temporary Hp regeneration. If ally is downed while Hp regeneration is in effect they are revived.
Special Upgrade - Tactical Research - All Heroes gain +1 Speed, Technique, and Agility. Cost jumps every time it is acquired. Infinite upgrades available.


Research Lab -
One of three basic upgrade facilities that have a special infinite upgrade booster for your heroes.

Upgrades -
Lab Computer - Mp cost of attack skills reduced. Increases all heroes Focus while increasing their Technique for each Boss Badge they have earned.
Portal Research - Ability to detect portals and what lies within them while traveling.
Bomb Research - Increases the Damage and Type of Damage Disintegration Bombs deal.
Undead Research - Increases undead allies resistance to cold damage while increases undead enemies weakness to fire damage. Holy damage now has a chance to apply death debuff to remove them immediately if downed.
Sleep Research - Increases sleep damage and debuffs enemies speed while asleep. While increases ally's sleep recovery rate.
Drone Research - Unlocks Drones Item bundles. All deployable drones gain speed and last an extra turn.
Special Upgrade - All Heroes gain +1 Focus, Wisdom, and Discipline. Cost jumps everytime it is acquired. Infinite upgrades avaiable.


Portal -
Act Missions - These are story missions that continue the main game unlocking more acts.
Special Missions - These unlock wanderer heroes that join you giving you more to choose from.

Singularity Mode Walk Through
Singularity Mode - Challenge increasing difficulties in a more traditional roguelike experience, while earning rewards for Chronicle Mode. Recommended after trying Chronicle Mode.
All characters are reset in skills and relics back to default after every run. Unlike Chronicle Mode you can use skill books and relics while on the adventure here. All battles, events, and distortions are the same as chronicle mode so please see there for more details.

Note: Each time you beat the difficulty a new difficulty below it unlocks. So beat difficulty 1 to unlock 2, beat 2 to unlock 3. At max skill of Nullify he shares with his allies 30% reduction of his 60% against, Fire, Frost, Lightning, MP, Stone, and Sleep making him quite the useful ally to have in your party with a few specfic relics he even heals and counters like crazy.

In addition you get a max of 3 reserve units to swap out please note these 3 do not gain a bonus stamina from the inn.



Lastly you gain a max of 4 item mission bundles to take along with you.

Party setups should have 1-2 tanks, 1-2 support/healers, and the rest being dps typically. Please note Claire is required in all party formations so keep this in mind when making a party.
While your reserve party units would typically be best to have 1 tank, 1 support/healer, and 1 dps at most replace your main units in your party. This Party design will help you get through the main story and a few loops but you will have to tweak and such later in order to do the really hardier loops. Please note all Party Setup examples are tested with max unlocked skills and base your results may vary based on how you play.

As you go further/deeper into loops you will notice the enemies, drops, particles, and nodes all increase

For each loops increase the enemies tend to go up 10%. Same as the particles. You get a chance for 1 extra drop for most fights and events and there is 1 node for each half extra in the loop for you to do.

When you get above loop 5 you will notice the length is far to much for your characters so if you have a power house team I highly recommend equiping the relic Undead Soul. You lose some healing but the reduced stamina loss is a god sent it will allow you to keep your party healthy and strong going through it all. Also the inn starting stamina bonus is very important same with the extra reserve spot. If you get lucky at times the second wind distortion pops up at the very beginning which is EXTREMELY useful for your primary party.

Note: Also options are swaping 3 of your main party for your 3 reserve. The reserve is there as backup so having them node hop and the basic node fights is very useful leaving your party at a more fuller strength if you do not want to use the undead soul relic.

Grinding
Early Grinding can be pretty tough the best grinding method very early on when you start your loops is Grinding loop 1 Act 1. Equip Auto medical pamphlet's to everyone that gives 10% more particles per person. You run through to the first half of loop 1 act 1 to the 1st boss. Beat him then exit. Back at town make sure to check the vending machine for skill books but dont bother wasting particles to restock we are focused on gaining power and particles then keep doing so over and over again.

Once you have unlocked most of the buildings it's time to grind to loop 5 act 1 and then rinse and repeat there. Your objective now is to work on Nano Labs -Tactical Research is primary here this increases all your characters base speed, technique, and agility, then also do The Forge - Metallurgy Research and Research Lab - Psychology Research.

@MrIronJustice It's a bit wonky, but it seems like stun "damage" isn't actually damage at all. It basically represents the severity of the stun effect on that particular skill, which depletes a target's turn progress accordingly. It's resisted by toughness, I think.

Excellent guide, thank you for sharing. I've been reading through it quite thoroughly.

Could you comment on how stun damage works? I don't fully get it. I know three stars means the enemy has taken max stun damage, which I assume is equal to a full turn's worth of delay. What stat affects the target's stun resistance/cap?

It was very good to give me the guidelines, getting to know what the different relics do etc.
So much easier for me to just Ctrl+F and try search (dark, ice, flames , poison) Then go to the next until i find some things/relics/chars i can stack. So you have done a relay thorough job mister!

Really hoping for more people to make similar things.
This game is underrated IMO.
Currently testing a build with Auto bot and a random healer with ress.
Then i Choose the golem as tank, putting on him the 0.5x-2x multiplier and some other things to buff the shatter skill. When he dies, he gets ressed like 10+ times in a row , doing all from 112 damage to 890 damage to all! Basically max 8900 damage in one turn before enemy can do anything about it. It is still a bit unstable, but LOADS of fun!

Honor Code also makes him tankier, though? I know we're using it here for the sake of its drawback, but its primary effect is a significant reduction on incoming damage.

With regards to Javed's relics, I discovered a neat little interaction with his "Replacement" passive and Honor Code: Normally Replacement requires Javed to bleed out before kicking in, but when equipped with Honor Code, the second he drops to 0 HP he's instantly replaced with a fresh, full HP Javed (provided that someone else is alive, but that's in Replacement's description).

It doesn't make him tankier, per se, but it does help him do his job easier. Mostly because when all the delayed damage from Adrenaline Rush catches up to him, with Honor Code, it's essentially cancelling it and starting over.
