The problem
Since last update some players were unable to play online or just have access to online features like the podium pass.

This is due to an upgrade made on their server security protocols.

If you do not have a certain registry file added to your registry of your operating system you wont be allowed to access codemasters servers.

The solution is simple.
A simple solution.
Simply open your favourite internet browser and go to:

https://www.ryadel.com/en/enable-tls-1-1-1-2-windows-7-8-os-regedit-patch-download/

Get the registry files made by them, which is at the middle of the website.

Or go here:

https://www.ryadel.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/TLSFix_TLS11-TLS12.zip

It will download a registry entry that will install a registry entry patch made by Rydael to address this issue.

After you have done that, to ensure, locate the f12020.exe , if you are using windows 10 then open the one with the dx12 affix to it.

Right click on it, go into properties.

Check the box that says run this program as an administrator.

This should get your game running and able to play online and access the online features.

There's no source, "microvirus" ain't a thing, he's bullshitting.

The crux of the issue lies on TLS, and some Windows installs have older versions of TLS enabled. To maximize compatibility, Windows will try to use the oldest version of TLS available.

Problem is, if you try to use TLS 1.0 and the server doesn't support it, the connection will fail and you won't be able to communicate with Codemasters' servers.

I don't know if this is EA injecting malicious software to gather information about our systems or any other intentions, it wouldn't surprise me though, yet would you be so kind to direct me to the source of the info on that matter, if possible.

Thanks in advance.

So far my Malwarebytes premium never detected any malware lately, nor my ESET smart sec or NOD 32 detected any viruses since this last update, but maybe they hid it deep within the files.

Can you provide any source?

Don't do it folks just EA inserting it's microvirus into ya game. Game runs fine.
