Far Cry 3 Ammo Stashes

I had noticed from searching around that some people wanted to know of any Ammo stashes that can be found to save money on buying Ammo, So I have been looking around while playing the story and come across quite a few, they only fill ammo for guns, rocket launchers and arrows they don't refill your grenades or moltov cocktails. Also take in to account that if they are hit by you or any enemy they will start to go off like firecrackers at this point it's best to stay away as the explosion can kill you, also should one be destroyed they DO NOT respawn back it was during the mission "A Man Named Hoyt" one blew up I believe this was a 2nd stash during that mission but it never come back during my reloads of my game save.

Guide Update: I am in the middle of finding the locations now to take screenshots etc and this guide will be classed as a work in progress so keep checking back and I will have it updated ASAP.

Ammo Stash Locations 1-3 (1st Island)

Ammo Stash #1 (Confirmed To Be There At Start Of Game)

From your base Rust Yard travel to these coordinates X: 552.3 Y: 746.4 you find a small hut with a damaged car there you will find 3x crates stacked on top of each other with ammo in to refill, after sometime they will refill back up for you to use again.

Note: On occasion there will be 2+ guards at this location and sometimes an animal locked in a cage so if your playing on a harder difficulty sneaking up to this location maybe the best course.

Ammo Stash #2

Located just South West of your The Neck's Dinner base coordinates X: 672.6 Y: 591.0 walk out the door and turn right and head towards the wooden bridge just on your left you will see a barn swim across to it and right near the barn there is another ammo stash.

Ammo Stash #3

Not far away from your AM12 and Old Mines bases you can find another ammo stash near a mining facility it can be located at these coordinates X: 684.2 Y: 734.2, there are some buildings on the hill above it's here you can find the ammo stash in the small hut to the left.

Ammo Stash Locations 4-?? (1st Island)

Ammo Stash #4

From your base Camp Murder the furthest top of the island there is a small village it is this village that is in the story mission "A Man Named Hoyt" in one of the large huts there is a weapon stash coordinates X: 732.2 Y: 816.7, the area has rice fields and these are full of mines even after the story so watch out as they take a lot of damage.

Hey thanks for the guide Davnat! I found two boxes on the second island near East Ridge Camp at coords X459/Y485. It's great how these ammo boxes give free ammo for the grenade launcher, those are kinda pricey.

I also found one right outside Stubborn Kid Farm when I took it, I took ammo out of it after the capture but now it seems to have disappeared 8(

I beleive the mission is called "The Medusa's Call"

no, but i think its that ship in some mission. I havent played in a bit, so its kinda fuzzy, but there is a mission on a ship called the medusa or something. You get it a bit after finding that one of your female friends with that doctor

Hi, you're probably not playing the game anymore but there is an ammo refill stash in satellite communications hub (2nd island)
