Launch control in RaceRoom - Faster starts

Are you being overtaken at the start of a race? It could be the car has launch control! In this guide I'll explain what launch control is and how to use it in RaceRoom

What is Launch Control?

Quoted from Wikipedia: "Launch control is an electronic aid to assist drivers of both racing and street cars to accelerate from a standing start."

Simply put, with Launch control the highest possible amount of engine power will be used while not spinning the wheels.

This ensures a fast launch at the start of a race.

How to bind the Launch control button

• Go to settings
  
• Click on Control settings
  
• Click on Edit Assignments
  
• Find Launch control
  
• Double click and press the key of choice

Using Launch control

To use launch control at the start of a race:

• The car needs to stand still and in neutral gear
  
• Click the button you assigned to launch control and hold it
  
• The car will now go into first gear and the revs will go the optimal amount
  
• Press the throttle, while still holding the button
  
• Once the lights are green, release the button
  
• You will have to shift up manually
