Version Beta 3.1 - A lot of minor updates. Images from some cards, better looking dice, added 4 missing strains FAs and other minor stuff.

Version Beta 3.0 - Major update - 1.6 is finally here!

- All cards from 1.6 uploaded, as well as Screaming Antelope Rewards section. I could not find some of the cards in high resolution, so had to scan them myself, and my scanner is not one of the best, but I'm very happy with the quality. It is more than enough to have fun! The rulebook is still not updated, as I do not have a good scanner to do so. Cards are little, the rulebook is big, and it did not go well on my tries =(

Welcome to my view of Kingdom Death: Monster!

This mod is a updated version of Prattskki edition, which was my all time favorite when the guy used to update it constantly. With time, he abandoned the mod, and stopped updating it, so I started working on it, inspired by his and other Mods, to make some improvements to the one I liked the most.

The reason why I decided to update this mod instead of playing with already completed ones, is that most KDM Mods out there use so many automated static script, and it removes some of the immersion to me. I like to see the cards moving, the decks shuffling, and instead of just pressing buttons, moving miniatures around to start Hunt or Showdown. If you prefer this style of mod as I do, feel free to play, add or remove content of your own and play with the script (it is entirely open).

Most of its content is original from Prattski Edition, but some of the content I improved with what I've found online, particularly from CCG group in https://www.patreon.com/ccgteam. If you are the creator of some of them, feel free to contact me, so I can point your credits, or even, if I'm not allowed to use them, to remove them and find some replacements.

Custom Campaign - People of the Loop

I've always felt that KDM lacks a shorter campaign. I love the long campaigns, but sometimes I just feel like a fast run just to try something different could be cool. So I've created my own short campaign, People of the Loop. You can find everything needed to play it in a bag at the right upper table.

This is meant to be a short campaign, with only 6 Lantern Years, easily playable in 2 or 3 session (but feel free to make a single run, or even 1 year a day, for a 6 day campaign), with a pre fixed start (some starting innovations, gear and survivors stats) and a lot of custom content.

- Each and every Lantern Year has a new, unique timeline Event
- There's a completely new, exclusive Random Hunt Events table, tested and retested, with lots of sugestions from friends, with 30 new unique events (you do not use the Random Hunt Event table from the base game in this campaign)
- There's a new Settlement Location, with new options during the Settlement Phase.
- A entire new story, with 4 fixed survivors fighting against a Nemesis version of a Phoenix.

Feedback is welcomed. Even if it's a negative feedback! Any info I can use to improve the campaign I'll consider positive. Feel free to say anything you find good or bad in this creation. I'm not an expert in anything related to game design, just a KDM fan, so any comment will be considered.

FAQ (updated December 14th 2021):
Q: Do the mod have all 1.6 updated content?
A: All updated cards are present in the mod, including those for expansions. I did NOT update the rulebooks though, except for the Antelope Rewards section.

Q: Can I play 1.5 version on this Mod?
A: Saddly, no. I thought about putting an option to use old content, but it would give me a hell of a work. I play this game for fun, and I mostly created this mod because I play it a lot here in TtS. I no longer intend to play the 1.5 version of the game, and make an entire 10h+ coding just to add an option I would not use is not cool. I'm really sorry if that bothers someone.

Q: I'm stuck in "Survivors are already in a fight". How do I fix it?
A: Behind the marble table where you drop the monster to start Showdowns and Hunts there's a little button "Reset Hunt and Showdown". This bug should be rare to occur, but some users reported it, and I could not find exactly how it happens, so I've created that button for when it does. Simply click it, retry starting your showdown/hunt, and your problem should be solved.

Q: How to add expansions/promo/CE content?
A: There are three bags at the top right of the table, above the Settlement Board. They have the cards contents for expansions, CEs and Promos.
Most cards you just have to add to the initial deck manually, like Settlement Events, Innovations, Fighting Arts and Disorders. Some you have to remove its counterparts (if you want to add any CE content, for example, remove the original one). At the present time, it must be done manually.

Q: How to play with cardboard terrain?
A: If you have some medium TtS development knowledge, you can pick the cardboard terrains from Prattski edition, and manually copy them into my mod, deleting my 3D terrain. At the present time, there's no automated way of doing that.

Q: Why does some cards jump when I open the game?
A: Prattski edition had a bug when you opened a saved game, where some scripted data was not correctly loaded. I've tried to find a way to fix that bug, but could not fix as the code is, as most of his code were based on collision of objects. When you open, there's no collision, so it does not consider armor, for example, until you pick it up, and drop again on your gear grid. The way I found to fix that without having to change the entire code was simply forcing collision of objects whenever a new table is created, by making those objects jump.

we accidentally deleted the white lion hit location deck, is there any way to get it back? resetting the showdown doesn't work.

It just doesn't find the White Lion to start the prologue. Right click > clone the one above and you'll be just fine :)

trying to start the prologue but Im getting an error. " Error in Script (Global) function <startLuaCoroutine/setupPrologueCoroutine>: chunk_4:(2584, 1-29): bad argument #1 to 'next' (table expected, got nil) "

Does anybody know a way to fix this?

I'm unable to load The Butcher. It says there is currently no prologue set up for this monster. Either use the White Lion or change the skull to a valid level. I removed the Prologue lantern token after the prologue fight. Also, not sure if the message is old and it means lantern (tried on levels 1-3) but I don't see a skull besides the dead characters container.

I want to ask if someone does know how to config the slots on the gear grids so that they can be rotated without being placed back facing upwards?
