First I want to say I really appreciate this map, but here's my work in progress comments: If you do Dallas, put it close to Houston so it can share airport/train (I like fewer cities). Add St. Louis, maybe Toronto. West coast: - Portland instead of Newport, Redding instead of Arcata. Rename Savannah to Jacksonville and move it down a bit - in my game Savannah works well. Connection between Lake Huron and Erie.
Industry: IRL there is a major steel plant in Pueblo, CO, and the west needs it. Also biggest steel plant in USA is in Indiana built into Lake Michigan, also has a oil refinery. St. Louis also has oil refinery, and add more to Miss. River. I do like that there is limited manufacturing that you have to move about the country. You could add paint rivers (no bridges), also more trees in Rockies and Appalachians, and jungle/palm trees in Florida and southern California.
