What Is Hexen Neural Texture Pack?

Hexen Neural Texture Pack is an AI upscaled of all the original Hexen textures done by grandgreed . Textures are more sharper and crisp then the original dos pixelated ones.

Step 1: Rename your DosBox.exe

Rename DosBox.exe in your HEXEN base folder to DosBoxOLD.exe

Step 2: Download & Install GZDOOM

Download & Install GZDOOM to your HEXEN base folder https://zdoom.org/downloads GZDOOM[zdoom.org]

Install GZDOOM to your Steam HEXEN Base Folder

Step 3: Rename GZDOOM.exe to DosBox.exe

Rename the installed GZDOOM.exe to DosBox.exe

Step 4: Create shortcut and name it HEXEN

Create a shortcut of the newly named DosBox.exe to your HEXEN base folder

Rename the shortcut to HEXEN

Step 5: Download the Hexen Neural Texture Pack

Download the Hexen Neural Texture Pack from Moddb: Hexen Neural Texture Pack

The Download Zip contains two packages for different engines
hexen_gz.pk3 - For GZDoom engine <<<<Add This One<<<<
hexen_ds.pk3 - For Doomsday engine

Open the hexen_ntp.zip and add the hexen_gz.pk3 into your HEXEN base folder

Step 6: Getting GZDOOM Hexen to Work Through Steam

Right-click on HEXEN under the Library in Steam and select Properties.


Under the General tab click the Set launch options... button. Add -file hexen_gz.pk3 to the launch options.


Close the game's Properties window and launch the game.
